I am "Sim-Qualifying" myself on the Fenix A-320. I am a real life pilot who is currently on the 777. Getting ready to retire 9/23. You, sir, are my ONLY resource for training my sim-brain to manage this product. Outstanding! Thank you so much. What a blast!

@@markjackson5333 Often you will be vectored during approaches and be given a certain amount of track miles to fly. To then be able to do a continuous descent approach (CDA) it could be best to do it in VS rather than managed descent. You could also get speed constraints by ATC and will therefore have to manually set the speed. Theres also instances where the ATC wants you to descend with a certain vertical speed due to traffic or airspace restrictions. :D

Im finally getting around to learning the A320 now that Fenix has released the 319 and 321. I m really enjoying your tutorials. You’re a great teacher and it’s very easy and fun to follow along with your instructions and comments. Thoroughly enjoying this! So great to have a real world airbus A320 pilot guiding us along! I’m so impressed that so many real world pilots love MSFS! It’s speaks volumes to the realism and fidelity of MSFS and add ons such as the Fenix A320 family and others that real world pilots enjoy spending their days off flying these!

I have watched this one video over and over for each phase of the flight.
I have learned so much and have been able to fly much better flights now
because of this great video. The biggest failures I had were with landing.
I was always doing it wrong. That made the landing instructions in your
    video my most watched.
My landings have improved greatly now. No more 160 landing speeds and bouncing
    down the runway.
    Thank you very much.

Thank you so much for sharing those landing-techniques. To first flare at ~ 30 ft and then idle the thrust levers as well as looking at the end of the runway before landing literally made the difference between 500 ft / min. impacts and smooth 150 ft/min landings in the Fenix A320 for me.

Thank you for showing how to sequence your fixes for getting vectors onto the ILS. That was the main thing I was wondering about with the Airbus, and it seems a lot of tutorials skim over that part.
Side note, but this is one of the biggest gripes I have with the Aerosoft CRJ, which is you can’t sequence the box like you can in the real CRJ. Really shows the difference in quality and attention to detail of a real study-sim level aircraft.

I want to say thank you for these tutorial videos. You are an excellent teacher in this series. I'll just start by saying I am not a real world pilot (yet!), merely just a aviation and flight sim enthusiast who has recently started flying airliners about a month ago. I started with the pmdg 737 and after getting the hang of that I decided I wanted to give the airbus a try and picked up the Fenix. Honestly, if it weren't for your videos I would of put this aircraft back in the hanger and left it there. The amount of information needed to be input is overwhelming, at least in my personal comparison to the 737 which I may be doing wrong in that case. So again, thank you for these videos as it has made it much easier to begin practicing virtual flights!

But, I have found that recently when on ATC, they sometimes give instructions a bit late, but if they are busy, they are doing what they can.

One thing I will def take note and try next time is to “flare then idle” as I’ve been doing the other way around since learning the FBW A32NX. No wonder my landings are always hard 😅 also, I’ve always disengaged autothrust as soon as I disengage AP.

Great help, especially with a hold and when to idle/flair etc for me. Time to practice more, but atm im low fps which makes manual landing a little harder to fligh sm(on the FBW version still atm) fair for you. So getting used to it more and more practice needed. Top stuff again - so grateful for these and wish I was able to visit flight decks like in the old days.

I think the DME difference is because the distance shown on the PFD is to the localizer antenna which is at the far end of the runway, whereas the distance in the MCDU is to the runway threshold based on your GPS position, no? Amazing videos, I'm loving all of them and can't wait for more!

Exactly what I wanted to ask you to do !!! I mean I knew it that it will eventually come, but not that fast. Thank you again for your videos. They've helped me a lot to fly the Fenix. I have al most 300h~ with FBW but on Fenix there are other gimmicks and things that I have to learn. Thank you again for these tutorials!

Thank you so much for the informative video. I have a question - when I go to insert the approach that I have selected for the airport it doesn't let me and says 'SELECT HDG/TRK FIRST' at the bottom of the MCDU. The only way I can work around it is to fly direct to the next waypoint & continue the approach as normal. What am I doing wrong?

Your entire series is amazing! Been waiting for the landing one in particular - each flight I am in I've ended up short of the runway (user error). Hoping following this along for my next flight solves the problem I am having. Thanks mate and keep up the awesome videos!

I'm having issues once flaps are deployed full (followed the guide here). Once flaps full and gear deployed, VAPP is well into the red portion of the speed gauge. about 3-4 nm out form landing I get SPEED SPEED SPEED and AP disengages :/
