    I was on the fence about buying these as I was quite disappointed by the Cumulus 25, but these feel so much better. Better outsole, better cushioning, way better fitting upper. Maybe my favorite daily trainer ever.

      Cumulus 25 has a wider upper. Was that the issue you experienced?

    • @jaybell2011

      @@ser1ification bought the cumulus in 4e and the GT-2000 in 2E. Found the toe box too tapered in the Cumulus and my big toe felt squeezed in the shoe. Also, I found the upper more breathable on the GT-2000.

    Just picked these up. First impressions are very good. Only complaint so far is the upper’s lack of breathability but that should be solvable with thinner socks and cooler temps. Thanks for the reviews.

    One week into the Kayano 30, my knee pain is all but gone. Can’t believe it, after 8months. Just ordered this one as it sounds that bit lighter and quicker for longer runs with fartleks etc.

      How is it compared to the Kayano 30s?

    I’m just now rediscovering the GT 2000 10 post injury. I limit myself in cushion shoes now and rehabilitated with Kayano 27 and DS Trainer, and now Tempus and 2000 10, and the GT is becoming my favorite daily. I still prefer the DS Trainer for strides and intervals, and Pro 1/2 for tempo, the but the 2000 does everything else without much effort. I’m excited to get 2000 12 now! Next year. On sale. Of course.

      May I ask what your injury is/was?
      Were you able to try the 12's ?

    Thanks for the great review Matt. Your excitement is very strong with this shoe. I ordered mine (TR version) this morning, a little bit concerned about the snug fit, but hopefully it will be similar fit to the older versions.

      Hi, do you have any past experience with TR versions os ASICS? Does the sole have a good grip on wet roads or main difference is lugs thickness for light trails?
      Thanks

    Hi Matt
    So is the Kayano 30 still in your rotation or has this nudged it out or do they conpliment each other? I tried on a gt2000 in a wide a few days ago and it felt great in a different way to the Kayano ... Would you say the Kayano is more the slow recovery day shoe ? And this is more dynamic ?

    Great review as usual. I'm willing to give this shoe a try, but with the winter coming, wet roads... do you think TR version have a better grip in wet roads? Similar to PumaGrip? . Cheers

    Great review! What shoe would you recommend with the same mild stability as this one but more cushioned. The Kayano would come to mind but it has a way stronger stability character.

      I desperately wanted to love the Tempus but they made my hips hurt. The arches inside them are weird and uncomfortable (for me). Unfortunately as Saucony are not sold in my country I'd had to take a gamble and order them online. Massive waste of money. Others love them though. I bought the GT2000 12 today. Early indications are good!

    Thanks for the review. I will try it. Which shoes is closest to this one. Also, can you suggest which one should I go for if I need little bit of room at middle. My toes are not too wide but mid portion of foot is wide.

  • @johnharris1734

    If anyone has a recommendation for people who like the previous version of GT2000, please let us know. Reviewers keep saying that the new stability tech like guides and geometry etc is less invasive because it doesn’t rely on a post, but a little medial posting doesn’t bother me and the new methods feel way more controlling. The new tech often feels as if it is always trying to force my foot to do what it thinks my foot should do. I just want a little medial support without elaborate guidance systems and it has now become very hard to find that. The Kayano Lite has a geometry solution that pushed my feet to the outside so much that the outside of my feet killed after a few miles. Version 12 of the GT2000 seems to be using similar tech.

    • @prwnrdy

      Adrenaline gts, guide 16 and wave inspire 18 have more traditional medial posts, might not be as cushioned as the gt2000 tho

    Someone already asked but I am curious as well. How does the GT 2000 12 compares with the Saucony Tempus? The GT 2000 11 was terrible. It felt slow and flat. Also if you have quite some extra forefoot mobility, the forefoot medial posts caused me blisters after a while.

    I’m trying to decide which one to get: GT2000 12 or Cumulus 25. I want a moderately plush foam but I don’t really want too much medial post pronation control. The Cumulus has a wide enough platform to make it a “stable neutral” shoe. I’m torn. Any thoughts, Matt?

      Would say this is just a continuation of the GT-2000, a moderate cushioning stability line for ASICS. Would not say this is the level of workout stability training that DS Trainer is. Hoping ASICS delivers something soon to provide a real stability workout experience.

    With the Glideride seemingly gone for good, what would you say is a good long run successor in the Asics family? Not a fan of the Novablast or the Nimbus... This sounds kind of similar to the GR3, but less stack and rocker.

    • @DoctorsofRunning

      It’s hard to say, as that is more individual preference. It’s certainly not the same ride as the Glideride, this. If you want a more traditional trainer that’s stable, then it’s a possibility. The Evoride Speed might also be a possibility.

    • @JTD33

      @@DoctorsofRunning Thanks! Actually just waiting for the Evoride Speeds to arrive, was hoping they would be a quicker daily trainer / tempo shoe to accompany the Glideride. Maybe they'll eventually replace the GRs...

    More cushion, lighter but less supportive… I feel like there very little difference between the nimbus, Kayano 30, GT 2000. I end up giving asics costumers that had the Kayano 29 an inspire or horizon, now gotta find a GT replacement as well for people..

      According to a Chinese review, kayano 30 has lost its soul. That means that it isn't as stable as before and it is more guided.
      On paper, I would say gt2000 is more stable because it is lower stacked.

      Haven't ran in Kayanos before but have just got the 30s. These are so stable compared to my other trainers Superblast, Nimbus etc. They just feel like they lock my feet in and keep my going ankles straight even on cambered roads. Bit dullk to run in but really stable. @@DarkPa1adin

    • @erinmalette7276

      They say Kayano, but I feel the Gt foam is more firm and rigid; therefore,stable. I feel the foam on the kayano almost spreads out a lot underneath the forefoot on compression.
