    Hello from Florida! I've had 3 Golfs - a mk1, a mk4, and a mk7. Between the 3, they've done nearly 1.3 million km. They are far and away the best cars I've owned. All 3 are diesels. The mk4 in particular was extremely reliable. I've had the mk7 for about 5 years, and what this review said is true. It's still smooth and refined.

    i do a 60/40 mix of highay and build up driving and i want a hatch with some punch and was wondering is there a big difference between the 92 and 110 ? is it just worth going 110

    I'm looking to get a first car, and I've a really good Golf on car sales, what are your thoughts on the 2015 Volkswagen Golf 92TSI 7, and how does it compare to something like a comfortline/trendline or highline, great review btw.

      @chasingcars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ravi Kumar Still an excellent car - if you can find a clean and well maintained example I'd buy. The base 92TSI missed out on alloy wheels and slightly more comfortable seats from memory but if you can live without those things there's no issue with not getting a Trendline or higher. Take it for a test drive!

      Yeah I definitely will take it for a spin! do you know if the baseline still has apple carplay, the ad didn't really specify, cheers

      DSG is a reliability nightmare but I love the electronic park brake too.

      Chasing Cars any golf version particular? my budget is around $15k give or take and ive been looking at 2013-14 versions the 90TSI comfortline im leaning towards atm. But you think the Golf 90tsi is better than the corolla ascent sport?

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nic Nolan Is that Aussie dollars mate? Yes I do. There is basically daylight between a Golf and every other competitor. The 90TSI is a terrific engine (I own a Mk 6 90TSI myself) and the Comfortline adds a number of creature comforts you'll appreciate.

    is new vw golf still have DSG problem? it require regular fluid and filter change and service of every 40k miles to maintain it works safely ?

    • @mga71
      @mga71 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would be my concern also, the reviews are generally great, but long term ownership is a different matter. For myself if i was going to keep the car only within the warranty period I would still consider a golf, but not so sure i would buy one out of warranty or with the warranty just about to run out :-)

      You tend to be able to buy one a bit cheaper when they start to get close to their filter and fluid change as it's something you can negotiate over. It's expensive to do but not as expensive how much cars depreciate naturally when you get them new.

      I am looking forward to get vw golf replace my old car , really like your reviews, that is really good. please give me a suggestion should I just get the golf 2016 or it will be better just wait another half an year to get golf 2017 version ? thank you

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you find one that you like now, at a good price, I'd probably buy now. It's unlikely that VW will make changes to the engines. Any updates will likely just be aesthetic, so if you like the look of it at the moment, you might as well jump on it.

      +Harry Houllis the update coming later this year will refresh the looks - but to be honest, the Golf still feels new and ahead of most of the small car pack.
