    So weird that he’s in a lower spec but they keep showing clips of the Highline spec.

    Rule number one: the volume of the radio MUST be a KNOB! Come on VW.. You know this!!

    I've seen some reviews where the Highline has fully lit up signal lights and LED daytime running lights but not in the Australian reviews (partially lit up). Is this a setting thing?

    good review, informative and concise, but the audio quality on the portions recorded inside the car kinda ruins it for me

      +rapiergv Understood. Broken mic unbeknownst to us ... fixed in more recent videos :)

    In Europe, the 1.4 TSI is replaced by a 1.5 TSI. Why do we get the leftovers?

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Karl P Mostly because our emissions standards aren't as stringent so there was no cost incentive for Volkswagen to bring the 1.5 TSI EVO here.

    • @karlp8484
      @karlp8484 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair enough, if we don't get the TSI 1.5, we don't get the TSI 1.5. As stipulated in the video, there's nothing wrong with the 1.4, so..

      Sukjeet. Why the hell would anyone want to review the Mustang?

    The Rear central armrest is something you can't get from the TrendLine and the ComfortLine is the mid-ranger. Ideally would love to go for the HighLine but for some markets, I feel that the HighLine is a bit overpriced. Too bad the VW offerings in Canada and the US are too Americanized and don't have the VW character other than the Tiguan 2.

      Just bought a 2018 Golf.It still looks and feels like a VW,amazingly.I test drove a Jetta and Passat.They were definitely 'Murrricunized,entirely different.

    Are the seats leather

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Part leather, part synthetic material masquerading as leather. It's a mix.

    Is a diesel option available ??

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Steve H Yes it is, but only on the top-end Highline model as an option here in Australia.

    • @steveh3949
      @steveh3949 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      And have VW - Audi sorted out the emission problems with their Diesel engines. Is there a legal case against them in Australia?

    • @chasingcars
      @chasingcars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Steve H This is a new diesel engine that wasn't affected by the Dieselgate issue. There are still outstanding issues here regarding older diesels but the new Golf isn't involved.

    • @steveh3949
      @steveh3949 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you saying VW - Audi have redesigned and developed a completely new Diesel engine range, not just re-programmed the cheating software?

    • @steveh3949
      @steveh3949 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will always have concerns about exhaust emissions (NOx) from diesel vehicles
