Pour one out for MFJ. This made me shed a tear.
I miss them already; huge loss to the ham community!
When I was a kid, I'd bring in coax, put down a folded up towel, and close the window on top of the towel
So many ways to get the job done. The desire to get on the air brings about a great deal of creativity with what we have.
I use 3/4 foam pipe insulation! Cut to length so it fits tight cut a slit off to the side across push in cable shut window. 100% not wood, no rot keeps bugs out & Coax has no so239 or tipe N's to leak! My cheeper plan works. KF0HRF Scott.
The pipe insulation is a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
Where did you get the awesome blue cutting mat for your desk?

@@HOAHamRadio Thank you!
I bought a couple cans of spray foam insulation… works great, except I can’t open the window now.
Yep, that spray foam will do both of those things : )
@HOAHamRadio you should consider reviewing the CTC-50M as well.
I hope to get my hand on one some day and do that. Thanks for the recommendation.
I used white duct tape to secure the wooden window lock!
Duct tape, so many uses and applications.
I would like to put a hole in the wall but worry about termites and other bugs or scorpions getting in the house or wall cavity and creating mess. I just feel thru window pass thru creates a huge security risk Im not willing to have. Thank you 73's everyone
In my prior set up I sprayed foam insulation in the wall to keep the critters out.
I live in a rental, they are super cool about my antenna, but no holes. I don't live close by in Thonotosassa @HOA HAM
Great to have a rental where they give you the freedom for amateur radio; no holes, that's understandable. Are you doing temporary set up, or have you found other creative ways to get your coax in.
