    Looks very cool! But, in my opinion, the legibility is kind of scattered. I will try to explain what I mean:
    1) Hours at 12, 02, 04, 06, 08, 10 (grey-ish small ciphers);
    2) Minutes at 55, 05, 25, 35, 45 position (big yellow ciphers) - outer part of the dial;
    3) Minutes at 50, 10 and 40 position (small yellow ciphers) - inner part of the dial, disrupted by small dial for the seconds;
    4) Hours at 07 and 09 position (small dark-grey/black ciphers) - inner part of the dial.
    At least for me, it will be a difficult task to say the hour at a glance without some exercises. Because the mentioned elements of the dial look distracting/random.
    I don't know - may be this kind of labeling of the dial is specific for the aviation, but I doubt that the majority of the potential buyers of the watch are aviators, especially Spitfire ones.
    In addition, many other aviation watches that I've watched in the reviews were much more legible, and simple to read (for example, models from: Orient, Techne, Aristo, Aeromatic, Messerschmitt).
    Despite of the confusing legibility on a glance, on a glance seems they've tried to populate the dial with something to make the watch more distinguishable.
    All of this is just my opinion. I'm glad you've presented an unboxing of this watch (still cool-looking), sir!

    They decently should have kept minutes on the outside and hours inside rather than mixing them like this.

      Totally agree. It gets quite confusing how they did it...

      Actually, as a pilot I quite like it. It's much easier to read time to precision especially if you're close to landing with a bunch of things to do while contacting tower for ETA or calculating fuel.

      It's a pilot's watch or at least a very nice homage to one.

    Very nice looking watch, but would like to have seen 2 changes. 1- move the date to the 6 O'clock, and 2- put a 15 at the 3 O'clock. Otherwise.....very nice looking watch. Can't wait to see the review.

    Is it strange that i like the pillow as much as the watch?

  • @112deeps

    Looks nice but still too busy for me. I would design it few mm smaller and make smaller numericals lums at 12 6 2 8 4 10 so lum missing at date window is not missed

    Presentation was very impressive and the watch, too. Maybe 5 instead of 25 would be worth of trying? I like big watches with Arabic numerals. Looks solid as a rock. 👍

    I love the size of this watch, I have a 6.75 wrist and most of my watches are large, it’s what I like to wear so this watch is perfect in my view, it’s all subjective, looking forward to your review..

    With this one the AVI-8 definitely leaned towards the less extravagant spectrum, but I still find their Mustang to be more interesting and unique.

      I couldn't have said it better. Nice pilot's watch. Nice color scheme and certainly the right size and right lume for a flieger style watch. I have one of the gray ones on the way to me right now, but I think I like this green dial and yellow hand one even better! Nice.
