The DW CE 24 Hardtail Limited Edition brings Dustie Waring’s signature specs to a tremless guitar. Dustie Waring’s signature model starts with the PRS CE 24 bolt-on platform and includes a satin-finished maple neck, maple fretboard, a slightly modified Pattern Thin neck carve (Waring’s carve is slightly thinner front to back), and - unique to this limited edition - a hardtail bridge.
The pickups and electronics are also unique to Waring’s signature axe. The pickups are Waring’s signature Mojotone Dustie Waring Gen 2 Tomahawk pickups. Made with superior quality Alnico 5 magnets and a special winding technique, DW Gen 2 Tomahawks have plenty of output and big bottom end while remaining articulate and clear - a notable quality for high gain pickups. Paired with a volume and tone control and 5-way blade pickup selector, the DW CE 24 Hardtail is menacing, sophisticated, and addictive to play.

The DW CE 24 Hardtail Limited Edition comes with satin black hardware and is available in six color options, including Waring’s signature finish: Waring Burst. There is no limit to the number of DW CE 24 Hardtail guitars that will be made, but the order window is limited to January 10 - December 31, 2023. Nice heavy stuff there mate! Is the floyd rose version of this guitar really that bad compared to this hardtail version? I am thinking which version to get and unfortunately they don't have this in my city for me to try in person. Also, this thing is very expensive here in Australia but I am drooling to get one.

I wouldn’t say it’s bad mate, still a great guitar. For me it just didn’t hit the mark like this one did and I am pretty picky with my guitars. I love my Floyd’s and I’d probably still consider getting one after the hard tail but the hard tail just felt much more well rounded for me. I’m in Aus too and get it with the pricing. It’s getting insane down here isn’t it?

Thanks man. The distributors usually import guitars down here so there’s a middle man that makes the retail prices pretty expensive. But if you try and ship it yourself, you’re probably looking at at least $500 but then government charges for importing it on top of that. It’s not a cheap exercise that’s for sure
