Miro User Testing Template: miro.com/miroverse/user-testing/?social=copy-link Check out more Miro templates for UX design: miro.com/templates/ux/ As a user experience designer, I often need to work with UX researchers to prepare and run user testing/ usability testing sessions. This video explains my process of planning, conducting, and synthesizing a user testing session.
Usability Testing could be more user research. User research is the work that happens before design. It's also NOT USER testing as you're not testing users - it's usability testing. You can merge usability testing and user research, but it's important to understand how these two things are different. User research will be about understanding what the users do, why they do it, and what they need to do it. It's exploring the problem. Usability testing is the validation of a solution. You can iterate your way to a better solution, but without user research, the initial design will be a guess.
How do you always know we need these topics? Just amazing. Only after watching your videos I have enrolled for google UX course. It's great. Aliena can you share some points like how to take notes while studying as it is so overwhelming. 😌😌
Hello Aliena, great video! I have a question. You mention on the step of the planing session that there should be a prototype ready. I wounder, does it have to be a prototype or is it okey that it is a wireframe? If not, in which step is the wireframe session?
Hi Aliena, thanks for making the video! May I ask, is it possible to transition from a UXR to become a UX / Product Designer? Will the research experience be able to translate into good use?
