Yeah, I average 10mpg in my 1988 Airstream 345 with the 454. I can get better if it's not too hilly. 7 is the worst I've ever gotten driving through the mountains.
@Air Strike Technologies Not trying to put you down, but the Airstream 345 only comes with the 454 Chevy engine. And if you listened to the narrator, he said a 354 Chevy engine, for which there was never one built. Sorry...
That must be powerful motor-home and towing a Jeep! Has this motor home had a engine swap to something more powerful ? the jeep is that eating in the traitor behind ?

In 1988 General Motors was a throttle body injected not carbureted. It was a 454 big block.
A factory big block Chevy is a 454 c.i. not a 354 c.i.

11 Miles per Gallon ? I don't think so, More like 4 or 5 MPG.
The 454 will consistently give 9 mpg in my 1995 and a friends 1996, same mpg. No pollution stuff.

Christopher Selleck stock 454 Chevy big block. 250 hp or so, 400 + torque. A diesel would be much better suited for the job.
