Hey Nikki. My wife and I are putting together a grocery list, when or if you make it out to California. 😁 seriously tho, great attitude and van build. Living your best life, good job! Inspiring.
@Nikki Jabs -- Nice van and great tour of your van! I loved your personality so it led me to check out your Channel. I just watched your "Follow me on a shop|Shipt shopping" and I enjoyed your content so I punched that Subscribe button 🙂
Awesome tour, awesome van, very inventive, and the most unique floor plan and design I've seen. I loved seeing the things that were purchased but never (or hardly ever) used. I think that made a bunch of us feel so much better! Lol The things we do for our furry family members are probably some of the things we put the most thought into. Thank you for sharing! 💗
It's a mistake getting rid of the toilet, you could have a "chili emergency" when no place is open or you're between restrooms. If anything go for smaller stove if you are not cooking very much.
I’m from MI too, I’d be happy just staying Up North all year except winter and head farther South for winters cuz as all us Michiganders know the winters can be fierce in the Mitten especially the farther North you go of course. Safe travels, be well and happy just think about another solar panel even if you have to set it outside at some of your stops… I might run into you one day when I finally can get on board with Van Life! 🌹😇
Simple but very perfect. I see so many fancy build outs but your storage area is insanely big. I worked in corrections for 23 years....I can so see doing this.
I find it fascinating how we all have our own definitions for certain words. For instance, I'm not sure if she's being sarcastic or not, but this build looks more minimalist and simple in comparison to other vans. It's a fantastic build I really love it; but it's not my definition of 'bougie'; especially in comparison to vans that have full bathrooms, kitchens, set beds, etc.
Awesome video! I love how simple you have kept everything, even though you look quite glamorous! I would love to know who you deliver groceries for or how! I am in need of a side hustle! Thank you!!!

Nice job on your van. Like the kitty litter area. Is there no odor problem from the litter where your food storage is located? Do you have something for him to scratch on like a scratching board? Where do you keep his food and water bowls? I like the dividing wall and door from your living area and the front of the van. Don't like not having a bathroom, shower area. It would be a must for me and when having visitors. I have seen many vans with bathroom builds that are amazing. The fold out bed location is unique. Where do you keep the pillows and sheets? Don't like the lack of windows in the van. You could add wall shelves for simple wall cat tree.
I don’t have windows because I wanted to keep the heat out as much as possible to keep Jules safe. No odor problem from the litter. Most of his business is done outside because he plays outside everyday. He only uses his litter when I’m not home. He doesn’t scratch on furniture - but he loves scratching on trees outside. I keep his food and water bowls in the middle of the floor. I wish I had a better setup for this because I’m always stepping on them. Lol

Your van is very nice. I am impressed that you succeeded economizing. You're very personable. I felt like you a friend telling me about what's been going on. Hope you continue to have wonderful experiences in your van.
I kept watching your video here because for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how you slept in a bed. Not to tease or make slight of your height, but you must really be short if you can sleep sideway in a Nissan Envy... ;) I currently am an Office Equipment dealer who uses an Envy to haul my copiers and there's really not enough room at all sideways. There's less than 5' of space once you do a proper conversion and insulate your walls. When you explained your narcolepsy that made a lot of sense. I can see how that would help you a lot. I've been studying videos for over 7 years and if this crazy economy can stable itself out, I am hoping to be retired next year and be a full time RV lifer myself. Although I will be converting a Vanhool T2145 full sized limo bus into my home, I "LOVE" watching all those who do really small vans down to Ford Transit Connects, because you have such limited space that you absolutely have to be smart and creative with your use of it. So I gain a lot of incredible, artful and quite frankly "genius level" ideas from the full time RV'ers who are VAN LIFE gypsies... I even became intrigued by your "vinegar and water" dish cleaning routine. Although, some of the dishes I make, I don't see that working well, I still could understand how a light salad or something less messy could easily be cleaned that way... So thank you for that tidbit as well... ;) I just subscribed and look forward to future videos... ;)
I am 5’4 and I can fit flat footed from head to toe sideways with the insulation and walls! Vinegar is the ultimate cleaner that has been used for thousands of years. I wipe heavy condiments and food off with a dry paper towel first, then spray it and wipe it dry. If something gets dried on a plate or pan, I spray it and let it sit. The vinegar loosens it up. Vinegar/water mix is used by a lot of non-luxury, non-choice vanlifers in the FB groups.
I love your build, especially that nice closet/pantry area. I would definitely want an indoor toilet because I know I would not be always near a store or restaurant or gas station or humanity. A Tex-Sport folding toilet is great for number two and pee jars are the perfect answer for number one. your cat is so lucky because you take such good care of her. I love her private litter box and entrance. We feed our dogs raw and even though they are not big dogs, you’re still feeding more than you would feed a cat. so I would need Something like we already have, a separate freezer for dog stuff and a refrigerator freezer for ourselves. They could still be the size of a dorm fridge and hold everything I think. But I would sacrifice a clothes closet in order to have a bigger refrigerator. How long you’re going to be away from civilization is the deciding factor.
Great job!😁 I like the longitudinal layout you chose, as opposed to the seemingly more common horizontal be layout. I would suspect total storage is similar. By the way, as your first commenter, what is the current legal permissive environment of cross state registered hand gun carry. I only ask as you are a former LEO (and I might become a nomad someday). Smooth travels, Nikki
If you have a concealed carry license, look up the states that have reciprocity with your state. If it’s a state that you can’t carry in or don’t have reciprocity in, you have to remove the ammo and store the ammo separately from the firearm while transporting across state lines. Usually they cannot be within arm’s reach (kinda blurry here since all vehicle are different). Some states consider a loaded firearm in the vehicle concealed and some states don’t. That is also a factor. When in doubt, call any non-emergency state or local police number and ask them what the laws are.
Only bit of advice I can give you is if you're carrying stay out of NJ, also big cities may have their own rules separate from their state. I think Chicago is a "gun free zone".
@@rtyria Yes, great advice!!! If were to go nomad, I would try in general to avoid “sanctuary cities” in US. Even, the Bay Area, one my favorite for natural beauty. Plus, if I want to enjoy Canada, carrying is definitely not an option. Thanks Nikki

What a Great Build! I always Love Just the Wood Look! The Counter is Awesome, All About KNOTTS! I have been working on my Own Full Size Bus, uggg.. I too will be Doing one of them CLEAR OUTS! I Love your build, gives me some ideas.. : )
Great emphasis on function over form, yet the counter top and color contrasts of the various components look great (including the art, curtain in the back etc.). Absolutely love the focus on the essentials (one fork one knife, the vinegar solution etc.). Also, the counter top is really well done - your woodworking guy arranged the grain correctly (the pieces are opposite) to help prevent warping. Awesome alternative method for saving a bundle (curious if the other wood is cedar, or pine). I can work anywhere, so planning my van for once kids move out and go to college... The insights on "how many times have i used this..." is a good perspective, and it really means before setting up a van to take time to see what is useful and what is not. Still trying to decide if I will go with a van, box truck or step van. But have a few years to make plans. Also love your personality, vocabulary and videos - your stuff is inspiring - as a semi-retired performer (many years live comedy and theater) - road trip vids might be my next adventure. I suspect your dating videos are both funny (your personality) and cringeworthy (the guys attempts at flirting) at the same time! Thanks for sharing.
German here. Sorry if my question sounds stupid, but does „retired police officer“ means you get a pension? Because in my country police people work until the normal pension age which is around 65.
I am not a retired police officer. (I didn’t write this title.) In the US, you can retire as a cop usually after 20 or 25 years, depending on the department you work for. They are doing away with pensions now and most departments have switched to 401Ks.
You remind me of Barbara Eden / I dream of Jeanne sitcom from the 1970s. Her bottle was a little more ritzy but not nearly as practical as your van build. The two fold down sections for the bed is very innovative. I was wondering how the massive storage area would allow for sleeping space. Nicely done !

Not once = hilarious! fyi ~ throw out that dead plant, it is not good feng shui having anything dead in your surroundings - not good vibes. And yes, we do ANYTHING for our cats!! Have fun, enjoy life and every adventure that comes your way. Sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you
Thank you!! I show a lot more of my ~funny~ personality on my TH-cam channel if you’re interested 🥰
You're cat is gorgeous
Yeah he’s a good one 🥰
Good but are you afraid if the storms? Flooding?
Not at all!
@@NikkiJabs you're brave but I'm even afraid if hard rain in my city and state.👍all you say and shows is good idea for a single person....i be like having to park on a 24 hours store parking lot or hotel asking them can I park and camp out round people's... Even in my own place apartment I woke up with a stranger standing over me and stealing my stuff...its scary or I would say I'm scary....lol but way to go👍👍
Carrie Marria that is really scary!! That’s a horrible, violating feeling for someone to steal your belongings.
Great video Great channel 👍 😊
👍nice setup ! 🤙
Thanks!
I love the shelf, get fitting boxes instead of drawers and you are more flexible.
Have Narlolepsy myself, having a not too comfortable bench to have a nap but not an all-day-sleep is very clever. I would not give up the loo, at all, but maybe you can choose an emergancy, a smaller one
I’d absolutely have to have more solar power lols 😂 I love knowing I can plug in things like a heater and a small on wheels AC as well! Other than that, you’ve utilized your small space wonderfully😇
Hello excuse me,,, nice to meet you and I am rifai al in Indonesia, I really like the content and I immediately click the subscribe button and I will continue to support your channel

You're welcome sis and I will come back again if there is time, greetings from Indonesia
Cute Video decor print love it
Great buy on your van. Stylish decor. You have it how you like it. Happy trails to you. Enjoyed your video. Good knowledge about your set up all aspects. Spirited, daring. Thanks.
What a Great Build! I always Love Just the Wood Look! The Counter is Awesome, All About KNOTTS! I have been working on my Own Full Size Bus, uggg.. I too will be Doing one of them CLEAR OUTS! I Love your build, gives me some ideas.. : )
Thank you!
Looks nice stay safe enjoy
German here. Sorry if my question sounds stupid, but does „retired police officer“ means you get a pension? Because in my country police people work until the normal pension age which is around 65.
In USA police retire after 20 years of service and get a pension (NY)
I am not a retired police officer. (I didn’t write this title.) In the US, you can retire as a cop usually after 20 or 25 years, depending on the department you work for. They are doing away with pensions now and most departments have switched to 401Ks.
Love her personality
Thanks!
Lucky cat!
Nikki you're such an awesome person!
Yup, DPD have sure lost a high valuable lethal weapon... 😋
Two lethal weapons 👀😋
Gas must cost a fortune to deliver groceries?
if the kitchen cupboards were white or cream it would open up space and a few plants which make a huge difference and cosy .
I wish i could experience this it’s the life I want simple away from people being alone 😍
This young woman could sell anything, she is personality plus.
Thanks!
very nice
Love your van and your cute 🐈
I love this so cute
