I love how you dissect each diagnosis in details about what we deal with inside our heads or what to look for in others and you explaine things that we feel think believe, all the parts that most therapists or mental health professionals dont get.
Thats what makes the validatin from you so much more valuable.

It is possible that you did but a lot of people who do experience this never go on to experience psychosis, thankfully.

@@TherapistTamaraHill I think it was more like a wave of empathy and depression for me. But, probably due to my low emotional intelligence I was very confused, I was starting to think like a sociopath and I was scared to death, so I became super depressed. I thought I was one when I was being abused by one, luckily therapy helped me and EMDR is really miraculous even for complex trauma. I still don't know if I have, but I heard of other people with Asperger's who felt they were psychotic after traumas, because our inner world is so rich that it's easy to go into spirals, we are also alone a lot.

I see what you mean. That makes sense. And this is where something known as "differential diagnosis" comes in. A good therapist is one who will rule things out as you bring up symptoms, behaviors, etc.

Hi I would be very thankful if you replied for my message..
Mam, I had gone through most of the psychosis scenario you have explained. And the main one, as I created a world of my thinkings and started to run my world according to it,And the main thing in doing that was I couldnt trust anybody around me, even my own family seemed like lieing to me and I couldn’t trust anything they say.And then I got treated( not regarding this exact psychosis) but for sleeplessness and acting threatening. And after the treatment I realised the world is not according to what I think and If it was though like that, I shouldnt be taken into the hospital by the world Or people I Imagined about. So without explaining my thoughts to the doctor in there I escaped the hospital by getting the treatment only for my sleeplessness. And later own I figured out all these were my psychosis and delusions.
And as such for now. Still at some times or moments I get back that feeeling while going through any social media posts or seeing someone talking ( even though its not about me) I get the feeling. And then again I realise its not truth as now I completely know its my metal problem.
So mam, as far I had figured out evrything about this and still it keeps happening again suddenly when I see something it takes me back to the glimpse of the old world I talked about. And throw me again to present.
Mam could you please tell me what shall I do to stop this going back sudden in thoughts and feel like im persecuted by somebody even when I get to know Im not bring persecuted just in sometime. How can I stop this???
    I hope you understand..Please replyy..

Great video. I had a psychotic episode a few years ago, with paranoid and erotomanic delusions. I think social media and stress due to bullying/discrimination triggered it. I was put on antipsychotic meds and hospitalized for a few days. Thankfully my family was there to help me, but I had pervasive anxiety and paranoia for months. The side effects from medication made it worse, I would sleep during the day and walk around in circles around the kitchen table at night, I couldn’t stay still. It was awful and probably the most crazy-making experience I’ve ever had. It really felt like I was living in a different reality than everyone else. As negative and crazy as it was, I’m glad I recovered well but I wouldn’t erase that experience.

***awesome video -- keep it up --- one of the toughest situations: one who projects accusing others of projecting, or one who is delusional accusing others of being delusional --- can we have a video about that? for example, When you have 2 people accusing each other of projecting.... how do we unravel that mess? One is truly projecting and the other is not, but both can make that verbal accusation. How do we unravel that?***

I have a question that I feel you can go in to depth better than other videos. Narcissist or meth addiction? One in the same or can the addict, with recovery have normal relationships

    • @TherapistTamaraHill
      @TherapistTamaraHill  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi Leslie, I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. If I am understanding correctly you are asking if a person could be a narcissist or a meth addict. They can be both or one of these things. Typically, a narcissist may be more prone to get into drugs because they crave excitement and have deep seeded insecurities. But a narcissist is not an individual with psychosis. This question is separate from the topic of this video of course.

      Hi Beth,
It sounds to me as if you have a series of symptoms that are similar but not necessarily indicative of psychosis. When someone is experiencing psychosis they are typically experiencing symptoms all at once. The symptoms really show themselves to be a "syndrome" which is a group of symptoms that occur together. In other words, it's a set of consistent symptoms.
It sounds like what you are experiencing are the symptoms but at different times and that do not come as part of a psychotic episode. You may have a mood disorder (bipolar or depression) or experience anxiety/stress that causes these symptoms at times or most of the time.
Also, ADHD can cause these symptoms in people who are not experiencing a psychosis. There are so many disorders that these symptoms can fall under.
I'm glad you mentioned this so that I could explain and hopefully dispel some myths.

Along with thinking the aryan nation was after me, i thought i was talking to all my friends amd family through thoughts. It was very scary. I have had psychotic episides since then but brief ones.
