I think that With the removal of Vince McMahon from WWE, the reports of rapid change and moral uptick backstage at WWE, AEW is in deep deep trouble.

I haven't watched the WWE product in a good 5 years but now that Triple H has the book my best wishes and greatest dreams is that Monday Night Raw is even better than NXT was when he was booking that, and SmackDown is actually something I go out of my way to watch on a Friday night

"Booker of The Year" "$ mark Khan seems to want to sign all these "big names" BUT apparently has no real for them, & he's got WAY TOO MANY TITLES & tournaments done for those titles,It's like TK wants almost everybody on his talent roster to have some kind of a title, which basically makes everybody on the roster look bad.

I watched this drivel and Corny is right...AEW is quickly becoming suck. The great talent that is being wasted is sad. What could have been a great run of matches (FTR vs. Hobbs/Starks) will not happen, Wardlow being wasted, Danielson losing to blehhh.
AEW wrestling has hit the edge of "Two hours of my life I can't get back"---like that time I watched the life cycle of plankton on PBS, but with thigh-slapping during kicks.
I'm glad on skipping AEW TV More & More, especially when I know Certain talents are not going to be on.

I'd love to see Sir William Regal with a Cyberspace Recap of why The Blackpool Combat Club begrudges Chris Jericho and his cohorts. In other words, an explanatory Vignette showing off the Mic Skills of a debonair and ruthless individual.🤔🎤🐴💎🎼👞👞🤼♂️B.W.
@@madbrowniac7871 Absolutely! Storylines to the story! BCC has some great wrestling talent and should be pushed as a top faction. They are obviously over and Regal with his mic skills as well as the wrestling expertise of many of BCC could also help to train some of the talent at AEW. Let peeps like Danielson, Claudio, etc. be the ring generals and lead the match.
Side note - - Dusty as well as others like Eddie Gilbert and Tim Brooks were great bookers...studying their styles/past storylines could also make AEW look polished instead of indy. Past examples of booking that worked to help progress the story
An interesting time to be a fan. WWE dropped the old man and got more palatable. Meanwhile at A.E.W..... stay tuned for Danhausen, The Bucks, and Orange Cassidy!

I hate to break the myth bubble, But the NXT 2.0 decision was agreed upon and initiated at NXT Takeover: Portland, Before the pandemic and while Triple H was in charge. I think a lot of you people are gonna be disappointed in the long run.

Sounds crazy but once a wrestler starts to get over he either changes their “character”, they disappear off tv, or forced to play with pockets, Jericho, and mark sterling. Literally every time I start to get into someone, one of those things happens.. I mean literally one if not all 3 of those things has happened to Everyone

I don't think this is about money anymore at this point. MJF knows that AEW sucks and he intends to join the winning side rather than see himself dragged down by an inferior product. There's nothing Tony can do to change his mind.

What they did with Ricky Starks really pissed me off. Team Taz has never been presented as a serious force. Once Hook started wrestling they kept him away from Hobbs & Starks & now Starks gets turned on out of the blue. Hobbs & Starks were getting over as a team, they should be the champs right now. Smh. I really hope Starks jumps ship when his deal is done.
I suspect Coocamunga kids pushed for breaking up Starks and Hobbs. It makes no logical sense.

Starks can be a tweener. A face with attitude who loves himself a bit too much. He and Wardlow are my favorites in the company.
There’s too many tweeners on the program tho, too many guys who you can’t definitely say is a good guy or a bad guy. In the past it was a fresh idea and provocative, now it’s the norm.

Starks and Hobbs will be amazing once they get to WWE. The dudes are STARS who get booked like TH-cam jobbers. Ridiculous.
Next to Santana and Ortiz, Starks and Hobbs have been the worst booked tag team in the company. Starks and Hobbs should have been champions already, instead, they were jobbers, who carried the likes of Keith Lee and Swerve, and now the only time they get time on TV is fighting each other.

Thoughts:
- I think this in general was an overall good show. It had it's really strong points and a couple weak points, But the good outweighed everything by a long shot.
- Jim said "We haven't seen Ricky Starks on TV for months"....Brother, He was on television literally last week. He's been on television pretty regularly over the past couple months. I don't see how anyone can take his reviews seriously, When he is not accurate. The obvious talent bias is already a bit much to begin with.
- Rush vs Moxley was ok. Rush is someone I think who could be a very big star, Especially in the Latin demographic. They are right about one thing though, His theme song is f*cking awful. They need to find a new one. If i'm gonna give an suggestion, He reminds me of a villain off of the Robert Rodriguez movie series "Desperado", "Once Upon A Time in Mexico" & "El Mariachi". I would highly suggest them look through the Desperado & From Dusk Till Dawn Soundtracks. Tito & Tarantula is probably a good band to start with as well. With that said, Has the look, He's physical, and has a GREAT promo voice. I think he can break out.
- I completely disagree with 80% of what Cornette said about the Jungle Boy & Cage segment/promo. I thought it was a great promo by Jungle Boy. He did stall a little bit when he got to his father's funeral and I would say to avoid being sentimental or sad storytelling. I'd have what Cage says light a fire in Jungle Boy. Good segment by Jungle Boy & Cage. Surprised me a bit. I would definitely have Luchasaurus acting as a trojan horse to Jungle Boy. Sent to side with him on PURPOSE, Until the right time. I can see Christian Cage pointing at Luchasaurus, Who is standing beside Jungle Boy and him saying "Luchasaurus, NOW" and Luchasaurus chokeslamming the hell out of Jungle Boy.
- I disagreed with them breaking up Team Taz. I thought they were getting over organically and it would have been better to get them super over as babyfaces and THEN do exactly what they did. With that said, They did it right. It was sudden, unexpecting, and violent. Fantastic promo by Ricky Starks. He is gonna get mega over as a babyface.
- I thought Thunder Rosa's opponent was a little bit sloppy. I've never been a fan of wrestlers laying out matches, Instead of just calling the action in the ring (Or a skilled ref who can call it).
- Daniel Garcia & Bryan Danielson was a mixed bag. I thought the storytelling by Danielson was great. I thought they ended it wrong though. I would have had Danielson "get injured" and couldn't make it back in the ring and get's counted out. Get the fans worried he is badly hurt and afterwards, Garcia pulls up the mats and DDT's him on the concrete. Wheeler Yuta rushes out to stop him and he powders off. Setting up the furtherance of the Garcia & Yuta rivalry, Which Garcia needs to get a win back on.
- Moxley & Jericho was ok. There is still story there to tell, From their past rivalry & matches.
- The Acclaimed & Gunn Club, I think is gonna be a breakout feud for the guys but I think your are f*cking up the booking already. "Dumpster" match for their VERY FIRST match? Come on guys. That needed to be a couple matches in. Gunn Club wins first match, Acclaimed win the last match.
- Good promo by Dante Martin. His promos are getting a lot better. He's still gotta get in-ring psychology down. I liked the Guevara & Martin match and I actually think that would be a good program for them.
- Cole Karter is a potential future break out talent and out of all the people on the roster, You put him with "The Factory". What the f*ck are you thinking.
- STOP PUTTING YOUR GIANTS IN THE RING WITH ORANGE CASSIDY.
- The Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt segment was funny as hell. Sonjay & Lethal are super underrated.

I don't see the logic in turning the Bucks face. Although I enjoy some of their matches I think they are self serving, obnoxious brats. Will people be swayed? I won't. They are better heels because that is who they really are.
I am 1000% in the corner of FTR and the Bucks can't stand sharing the spotlight and are jealous.
The brief flirtation of Hangman going heel threatened to make him interesting, so bringing him back with the now uber whiny Bucks as a face trio is The Worst Idea.

@@johnhill6412 I think the Bucks and Hangman plus / minus Olivier are going to be nominally faces. The hardcore AEW fans will probably still treat the Bucks as faces, but I join in the general observation that the Bucks are getting go away heat. Folks’re more likely to cheer ReDragon since they beat up the EVPs.
The FTW segment was my favorite of the episode, just because of the separate aspects that made the whole. Ricky's video package was awesome, but months too late. Ricky beat Danhausen in a match that didn't go 20min. Ricky sold that neck injury throughout. Hook beat Starks, with Starks being his most challenging opponent as of yet. Ricky cut a great promo. Hobbs surprised me with his turn on Ricky, and if their feud means they'll have more tv time I'll take it at this point.

Don't know why Tony is not using Mark Henry or William Regal or the Big Show to start booking. Big Show and Henry not even being used and they have decades of experience in the attitude era.

I don't get this logic at all. Active competitors who used to be on The WWE Payroll are used over talent that made their breakthrough in AEW. Meanwhile, the retired or semiretired WWE Backstage Agentry with practically HUNDREDS of years combined in the ring and inner workings of Pro Wrestling is hired only to be outright ignored exactly why?!🤨😡🤦♂️🎤🤼♂️B.W.
I'm surprised Jim didn't get agitated over the fact that Jericho was just in a "Barbed Wire Deathmatch" just last week and yet comes out the following week to challenge Moxley for the AEW Champ Belt?! Jericho should've been home selling the match and shouldn't have been back for a month, along with Kingston, who was seen running down to the ring after the Dante Martin match to try and save him from Sammy Guevara and his girls. Guess "barbed wire" doesn't hurt near as much as I've heard from people like Cactus Jack, Terry Funk and many Japanese wrestlers.

I get putting young talent over but Bryan Danielson being pinned by Daniel Garcia is just unforgivable.
Put Hobbs, Starks, Hook or someone from the Gunn club/Acclaimed over not the charisma vaccume Daniel Garcia. Who's next? Jungle Boy? Dante Martin? Orange Cassidy?
It's a two part problem. Yes, the AEW men's singles division is bloated but you also get booker's pets who are on television every week for no reason.
I think it was on Jim's show but they did a break down of matches. Garcia has wrestled the most. Yuta a close second. Punk and hangman and moxel round out the top 5.

I actually thought this was a good episode. But Khan never shuts up about how great his product is and it has turned people off. If you are going to brag about your product, you need to have to have a more consistent and focused agenda, which AEW does not have. They have great talent, but there are so many moving parts! Narrow the focus to your stars, MJF, Starks, Wardlow, Danielson, Punk and KEEP the focus there EVERY WEEK.

Wwe will become the “alternative” now with triple H in charge, say what you want about trips but the guy can book storylines that make sense and have matches that make sense. This weeks RAW episode was actually pretty good, promos were to the point, the matches went longer than 2 minutes and weren’t filled with spot fest, it still has room for improvement but it’s been better than aew has presented in the last few weeks that I’ve seen
The biggest improvement would be getting some decent camera work. I tried to watch summerslam, I couldn't, not because any of the matches were bad, the commentary (it was a huge improvement over when Vince was in charge) was but nowhere as bad as the camera work. It's atrocious! I don't know how anyone with any sense would keep it that way. I really hope Trips improves that.
Also the girls' strikes are the shits and I thought Ronda's striking in UFC was bad. It was leagues better than what they got going on now. Every strike looks so slow and weak, like they're hitting each other with noodles instead of arms. I know Becky is better than that, I saw her back when NXT was in its Takeover phase, she was instantly one of my favorites over Sasha, Bailey and Charlotte. She was immensely underappreciated then and she had good strikes. What is going on these days? Even the girls in AEW strike like shit except in one match where Conti and Anna Jay took on Penelope Ford and Bunny, the strikes in that match were great. Why not strike like that in every match? Can't AJ or someone teach them how to make them look good?

I can't even watch AEW anymore. I've always been critical of it, and at one point I liked probably 65 to 75% of the show, but over the past couple of months the booking has been INSANELY awful. It's reached a point where it isn't even funny to laugh at in an ironic sense, with how illogical and frenetic the show and booking of the show has become.
I feel the same. I had to give up. It is easier to hear Jim talk about it.
I hit that point at the Barbwire everywhere and Wardlow vs Pockets, since then they turned Starks and turned Hobbs on him... I can't even lol

I too stopped watching, I can't do it anymore. I used to my workouts while watching, so it was more of background noise/entertainment, but it's a trainwreck after trainwreck after trainwreck. Now I just shake my head while listening to Jim.

It was the weirdest booked Dynamite I’d seen yet. But I think the Danielson/Garcia thing was a misplaced callback to a successful formula. Danielson didn’t tap, he passed out. It’s the Steve Austin/Bret Hart thing. Chris Benoit and Brock Lesnar did it too. Maybe others have also. Problem is it was at the wrong time and with the wrong opponent, as Jim and Brian rightly pointed out.

ive been watchin alot of old wwf lately in il tell u what the intros nowadays could use some work. its not just the music or the pyro or lights, the manurisms of the walkout is an art in itself, i will give an example of a recent entrance that i do like and even more importantly noticed the wrestler more for it and that is iyo skye. the flashing lights and base music start and she comes out turns sideways pulls her hood down but when she does she slowly leans her head back in a pose tht is so subtle the pose flows with the effects of everything else shes aware of her speed and it all just works so well, she gets on the ropes and slowly pulls her hair back, the introduction of her was also good for fans who havent seen her they mentioned she was once reffered to as the genious of the skye and explained her heavy offensive ariel arsenal. then i see new japanese womans wrestlers on aew and im like who is this why do i care? the packaging as a whole is very important too getting these people noticed. I remember chyna walking out to triple hs theme song as a kid n she was so captivating, i even like HHHs entrance better with chyna and the my time music better then the game theme, which is also awsome and controversial, but chyna with HHH just always told the story of he has a slight advantage going in everytime which to me built his character, allways having a trick up his sleeve, although marrying into the company further propelled his character and made us all say what a snake in the grass!

Only in AEW Dynamite will Moxley bleed in less than 5 mins, Jericho's feud will never end, and in one show you manage to bury Ricky Starks and Bryan Danielson in the same show. Starks and Hobbs should have been tag champions, but now they only get to feud with each other. I hope Ricky considers jumping ship as soon as his contract runs out. Same with Danielson. But hey Harpo and the Hardly Boys will get the shiny Trios Titles. I am no where near as hard on modern wrestling as Jim is, but his point about not knowing what’s going on in AEW is spot on. I watch both shows nearly every week and I can hardly explain a single storyline that is happening.
