Ah, this takes me back 18 yrs... we had a pine cabin like that in The New Forest, UK, for a long weekend, when my eldest daughter was my only daughter. I had a fossil car for sure then, my old 5-cylinder Passat. Your daughter is going to be a mini-Mrs Nyland! She sees everything, misses nothing. ❤

Yeah, when we first traveled with our kiddo, my ‘17 Alltrack was ALWAYS loaded, totally. Now that she’s almost 6, she mostly just takes an extra kid sized bag 🤷♂️😸

I've seen one or two ID Buzz in the wild here in the UK. They look good and much more practical and safer than an SUV!! The EV platform suits the MPV format very well. I hope we will see more EV manufacturers producing MPVs. Its time to get rid of the overweight, ill handling, unaerodynamic, dangerous SUV format.

Chop chop is simply the best. Wonder why they are not expanding to other countries. Would be a huge hit everywhere. Want them here in Germany that I do t need to eat this Maccas or BK crap all the time when supercharging.

17:41 correct me if im wrong, i guess im missing something...so the charge port is on the cars right side or from your pov standing in front of the car its on your left side, why would you need to turn the car or stretch the cable when the charge port is on the side of the charging cable as is ?

Hey Bjorn, my daughter was born around the same time as yours (18th May) and we are also using the cloud z seat with the 360° base. But the baby is getting bigger and bigger, so we were thinking about buying the "anoris t". I just rewatched the episode from last year but now I am not so sure anymore. Are you really gonna use the anoris t because I am worried about carrying the heavy baby into the tight seat and out again :D The 360° base is just soooo convenient. Any thoughts on this?
I don't know yet. I will wait and see once Isabel is big enough for Anoris.

Watching this video and watching my own son, I've come up with another kind of test. „Toddler safety“ ‒ let's say a small kid gets into the car, the keys are around somewhere and the kid likes all things that have lights, make noises or blink. What is the worst such a kid can make the car do? (I've noticed that our car is quite safe in that regard, it requires pressing the brake pedal for anything important ‒ even releasing the handbrake ‒ and kids with short legs don't reach it yet; but I've already received a full horn blast from closeup when disconnecting a charging cable).

Do you think the lack of heat pump is an actual problem in real life?
If you do a lot short trips in winter, then yes. Normal pic heater kills EV range. I regret not ticking the option on my EV

@@olestampevestergaard4746 because on a longer trip the cabin warms up after xx minutes and the extra consumption of the heater is not so much after that. On short trips the cabin heats up, then You park, then it gets cold inside again, and you drive back home with the heater needing full power. To illustrate, on short local trips the heater uses 25-33% of the power (in my EV) On long trips this becomes like 5 or 6%. Obviously a heat pump would reduce these numbers further.
In order to avoid the mathematical confusion about using kWh/h being equal to kW, I vote for inventing a new unit Wh=Juice, so we could say kJuice/h and everybody is happy 😀

For obvious safety reasons, you are not supposed to have all the luggage, stroller, cooler etc stored in the car unstrapped. If your things are unstrapped and you dont have your trunk isolated from your passenger area you will get majorly fucked in case of a collision/rollover/etc. Safety first, especially with a baby on board.
Is she complaining for the fact there is not a single air vent in the rear? I find this as a deal breaker no matter how good the car is. Nice video as usual, by the way.

Perfect family car… if you have €70-80k to spend and can afford the high energy consumption compared to stations/hatchbacks like the Y. Which is about 1 % of all family’s? It’s really sad to see this model isn’t competing in the 45-50K space, then it would be competitive. According to VW themselves the market for these are the ppl who bought fully decked out luxurious VW Transporters with the biggest turbo engines. I doubt they gonna change to EV anytime soon and this target group is extremely small anyways compared to the van and MPV market as a whole.
I'm always amazed at the amount of shit people with children have to schlepp around these days. The car seats being bulkier I understand. That's just improved safety.

That was a deal-breaker for me as some of the family get car sick (not from my driving 😬) so opening windows is one of the only ways to alleviate symptoms... 🫤
