I just bought this truck last night from Car Max and learned more about her in the last 30 minutes than I did in almost 3 hours last night. It's a wonderful truck. I researched my options thoroughly and decided to buy this one because I don't do a lot of towing so I don't need the V8. I live in an area with lots of snow, so the 4WD options are perfect. The flip up seats in the back work great for my German shepherd and the space up front is very comfortable for my girlfriend and I on trips. Basically I'm getting everything I need and more for a great price.

this was a very informative vehicle. better than the tour i received from the dealership i purchased my ram from. love the vehicle. the side boxes are what initially sold me the vehicle.. i am able to put my camper exterior set up equipment on their perspective sides. thanks again. oh, by the way, i have 400 miles on it and since my trailer is put away in storage for the winter, i have yet been able to see how it is going to tow. i can say one thing, the back seat of the coup should have a little tilt to it. they are straight up and down and are not comfortable for passengers. i place 10 inch round pillows to put so that it supports the passenger when kick away the butt. leg room is minimal but the difference in price between crew and coup didn't justify the price when its only going to be occasionally used for passengers.

very nice looking truck. i have a red 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn ext cab. it's been a reliable truck in the two years i've had it so far, and it's got 17,000 miles on it so far. i didn't want the crew cab, cause my wife has the RAV4 as the family vehicle. but i have a second car for basic transportation, and it's a 2007 Mazda 3 hatchback.
i am looking at one just like this, test driving tomorrow, only reservation 3 owners

is it true dodges trucks are the only trucks made with a single piece frame? like other companies have double frame chassis made of multiple parts??? thats a plus for dodge meaning its chassis frame is really tough and can take a beating

Great video. Very thorough and informative. Beautiful truck. Like the Ram Boxes wish they weren't a $1300 option. RAM certainly have upped their game and make an amazing truck. Do you know what the towing capacity is?
Linwood Chatten 8k to 10k with an eco diesel depending on cab size,4x4 and bed length. The hemi can get up to 12k towing I think.
Normadic INK: it's 6800 for the 3.6L V6, 8500 with the eco diesel which is also a V6, but it's a 3.0L, and 5.7L is 10,000 with the hemi engine. there all good engines, but only the Silverado 1500 with the 6.2L V8 has a max towing of 12,000. mostly people don't buy the 6.2 because you can only get it on the LTZ as an option and it comes standard on the High Country, which only comes as a crew cab. most people buy the LS or LT version of the Silverado. the base WT version comes with a V6 and that one is good for about 6500 pound. i think the max is 7500, but i wouldn't tow anything over 6000. then the obvious one is the 5.3L V8, you can get it as an option on the LS but there usually standard on the 1LT and 2LT versions. it's the same with Ford, most people only want the XL and XLT, because on those trim levels you can get the 5.0. any way most of 1/2 ton trucks are good for a max towing of 10,000, but anything that gets close to 9000 i don't recommend a 1/2 ton for. that's when it's time to step up into an F250 , Ram 2500, or Silverado 2500, and you don't even have to buy the turbo diesel in the RAM or the Duramax in the Chevy. you get the 6.4L hemi in the Ram 2500 Tradesman, and that will give you a max towing of about 14,000 which is pretty good. i also think the 2500 has a better ride than the 1500, because the payload is better.
Dark Raven Jr yeah but its gas and thsts garbage lol. I love my eco diesel. I have no problems towing my 25ft travel trailer and getting 18 mpg. If I needed more towing I would get a Cummins . the gas motors are a waste of fuel. 9 to 11 mpg ? Yuck

Dose RAM offer a truck with a three prong; 110V outlet in the 2016-17's? It would seem that a standard 12V cigarette lighter is a little underpowered.
Mike missed mentioning it in this review, but If you pause at 16:30, when he shows you the center stack for the first time, there's a 3-prong 115 V outlet at the bottom right corner for your traditional home plugins.

Does the rambox tend to leak? I have herd that they leak after a year or 2 but I have only second hand info, I don't know anyone who has the box personally.
I have many friends that have them and haven't heard of any issues. We live in the north so they go through tough winters.
