    big key advice for people starting out is buy parts on ebay. I saved myself 60 70% of cost of goods sold by buying used and OEM on ebay using an american express card.
    100$ brake kits from Detroit Axle
    Used oem electronics
    Critical OEM components at 25% dealer price
    I have cleared THOUSANDS of dollars in HOME DEPOT gift cards using their 75c for every dollar gift card deals. It sucks today because corona shipping but if you can wait, you save alot 60 70% on your COGS doing it this way.
    Good luck to all starting out

      Flipping old cars is one of my favorite things I love to buy projects out of people’s backyards bring him back to life and then sell them there’s a lot of money in that a lot of people start a project and they just leave it alone if you can get it running and driving and just put it back together not fix it or restore it but just put it back together and get it running there’s a lot of people that wanna project that has some life to it

    Tried to flip my first car, had a check engine but in California I have to get it smog check so I had to fix the code and ended up spending more money than I wanted to. Sound I just sell it to break even or try to make a few bucks profit? How do you know when to just cut the losses

    • @LuckyLopez777
      @LuckyLopez777  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It’s a pens on every car but I have a certain dollar amount that I like to make so if you’re flipping cars for cash on the side I would say you need to make $500 cash on every car for it to be profitable for you so if the car you purchased it was for let’s say $1500 and you’re going to sell it for $2000 You have no money to spend for recon so if it does need two to $300 and recon you’re gonna have to buy it for hopefully $1200 instead of 1500. I have a shop so it’s much easier for me to repair stuff I would start working with a mobile mechanic just to get kind of a baseline of what it’s gonna cost you

    Hey bro some advice here would help me tons! My dad has been working hard his whole life and currently has about 180k in savings. He dosent speak much English so im doing all the legwork and paperwork for him to open our lot. Hondas and Toyotas in the 5000$ range are really popular here in Bakersfield ca. Would you suggest we go heavy on buy here pay here in house financing with these type of cars?? We are going to have a really small lot with a decent size warehouse for only 1500$ a month but it isn’t in a spot that has alot of traffic so most advertising is going to be on FB craigslist ect. Im thinking going heavy on 5k cars since they move fast here even without financing. And now i could offer buy here pay here. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for all the info on your vidoes🙏

    Hey so a quick tool I use to see a rough guess of what a cars value is Kelley blue book. If I see a car on kbb valued at 4500. I usually would guesstimate that I can sell said vehicle for 4. So I try to shoot to get it for around 3k-3500$ . Would you say this is a good strategy?

    hey, so I want a Jeep Grand Cherokee priced at 16,995 but don’t have enough to pay full on cash. I have found a 2015 Jeep Compass in my area only priced at 5,500, but the Kelley blue book value (with accurate mileage and everything) is between $11,387-$13,942 in my area... is it smart that I buy the compass for 5,500, then fix whatever is wrong with it and trade into dealer for $12k or $13k, and pay remaining balance in cash for the grand Cherokee? thanks for reading this
    TLDR; I want a $16,995 car. I want to buy $5,500 car that’s market value is actually $11,387-$13,942, fix it up, trade it in, and then pay remaining balance cash for the $16,995 car

    • @LuckyLopez777
      @LuckyLopez777  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TheBlackGuyGaming In my area jeep compasses are very cheap to come by I don’t really recommend trading in a car because the dealer will hide the value of the vehicle either in the down payment the taxes whatever the case is I would rather buy two or three smaller cheaper cars flip them till you get enough money to put a big down payment on the jeep you want
