$20M in Sales Post-Shark Tank (How Bambooee Made Millions)

  • Bambooee was founded with a simple mission: create a waste-free alternative to disposable paper towels. This small business idea led them to an appearance on Shark Tank and made a deal with Lori Greiner, netting over $15 million in retail sales since the episode aired-and in today’s interview, we’ll find out how they did it.
Bambooee founders Noam and Irene had the first of their business ideas in 2009, when they came up with the reusable paper towels they showcased on Shark Tank. They’ve built on the popularity of paper towels, adding pet drying towels and pillows to their product line-up. Along the way, they’ve planted more than 200,000 trees, living up to their mission of giving back to the planet.
Today, we’ll get Irene and Noam’s advice for identifying profitable business ideas. We’ll find out their process for developing Bambooee towels and how much time and money they invested before making their first sale.
Of course, coming up with a great product is just the first step. We’ll learn how Bambooee built their brand and following, how they secured a spot on Shark Tank, and how that experience fueled their impressive growth. Fans of the show will especially want to hear Noam and Irene’s behind-the-scenes take on how they prepared for the show and what it’s like working with Lori.
Bambooee was built on sustainability and innovation, and they haven’t lost that spirit since they’ve found success. We’ll see how these core values affect their sales and day-to-day operations today, and how they plan to meet their goal of planting 1 million trees.

there is the classic store with brick and mortar
      let's call it 1.0
in this store, products almost never change
and the owner chose the products
      it is boring
now, there must be a new store
      let's call it 2.0
in this store, products always change
and people choose the products there will be via an app
on the app, there is a huge catalog, people choose the products that will show up in the store
the store is constantly being supplied with the products people choose

Well I have this Idea about the next Social network app who is going to turn down all others because is the real deal ( the original purpose of a social network). Not bad or scams post , not censorship, not fake profiles or fake people and it will be created for make a better world with better and healthier societies .. Waiting for investors that recognize that what we have now is not a proper way for do it and is taking a wrong path affecting in a bad way to people using it ... That’s way we need my idea what is fully structured ...

First time watching your video and this is life changing. I somehow stumbled in your video (thank the TH-cam algorithm) and was sort of dreading the 30 min duration. But your guest is so inspirational and educational that it had my attention for the full 30 mins. And the questions you asked were consequential (not a bad thing). It produced quintessential answers that needs to be heard by everyone, not just the entrepreneurs. Truly amazing....

The less environmentally friendly process is often called the viscose method and involves boiling bamboo leaves and shoots in strong chemical solvents such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH - also known as caustic soda or lye) and carbon disulfide in combination with several stages of bleaching. Due to potential health risks and environmental damage surrounding this type of bamboo fiber production, the textile is not considered environmentally defensible. This is the most common production of bamboo textiles.

1)make sure you can prove you were the first investor of the product so that they'll give you a patent
2)if you have an idea, make it happen (executing)
3)don't sell on Amazon. They have no respect towards sellers.

I can't believe NFTs were already a big thing back then. I thought it was a new hit since it's taking off just now.
This guy definitely knows what he's up to.

    Great product! 👏
The problem is that most people who use paper towel coz its deemed disposable and don’t need to be washed! Only if people are willing to spend few extra mins managing reusables, very well could use our old cloths as rags!

This entrepreneur has an effective, simple, necessary, earth friendly, and practical product. This entrepreneur was spot on about Amazon, as Amazon has horrible to non-existent seller support. EbaY has great seller and buyer support, as I have sold on both Amazon and ebaY. I stopped selling on Amazon many years ago. Bambooee cleaning wipes are Practical Perry approved. ; ) (p.s. I have not tried their pillows yet).
