Tools to get the answer 1. Become observant, everywhere you go look at what other people are doing and bring it back to your area. 2. Become a lateral thinker 3. Become a world-class problem solver 4. Become a lean thinker, Become a lean thinker, Become a lean thinker
I worked in hospitality for years. Taught me almost everything. It takes Practice every day. Reading inspiring books. Finding mentors. Sacrifice of certain things, but at the end of it you are a high value person :)
@@UpFlip Lean is so easy to me. I would love to be a lean business owner and coach. I've done a lot of direct experience study on the mind and observing other people. The disfunctions in the work place and seeing how the mind operates and leads to those problems makes thinking about solutions easy. Sometimes you have to burn the hay stack to get to the needle haha
Luckily I found this video. This is incredibly well presented. The man presents his idea in a simple way, making it easily digested and understood. The concept he delivers is not only theoretically acceptable but also realistically applicable. He sees things more clearly than average people could due to his observant nature and sense of problem solver. Hardly anybody would be able to build this capacity unless he doesn't complicate things. Be observant regardless where you are, identify what won't work and make it simpler, be a lean thinker and execute ideas once you know it's highly in need. Besides, customers will tell you what products they really need, yet you need to teach them how to be lean thinkers. Absolutely amazing!
I just got a shop vac because I am detailing cars for a small business start up. Just the other night I thought of that idea of having control of the vac at the nozzle. It quickly went away as I have a bit of scattered brain right now. Yes, I saw it’s a product in this video, but it blows me away that something like that came into my mind and I waived it away. Makes me wonder what other great problem solving products I have waived away! This was a great video!
Crushed! I’m sixty year old, dyslexic and ocd carpenter that has solved problems instantly when others were baffled but never took it into the production and marketing stage. Go for it you young guys

Super Cool David. 😀Thank you. Paul Akers is great and he has some really good content. We're so happy you've joined the Upflip family. Which video has been you favorite thus far?
I agree with about Japan. I was stationed there with the military for 8 yrs. Many business ideas I learned that we don’t do have here in U.S. I’m here in San Antonio Texas. My new home just retired. Now it’s time to bring value to my community.

If you make it simple people will comply! Yes...I really wish more of this mentality existed in business. That needs to be on a Tshirt. I am a new sub- amazing channel. Thank you.

Love his energy level. Sad thing is his customers could of invented the problem that they had, but they brought their problem to him and he made the $$$.
Good Afternoon guys Have you guys done OWNING A RV PARK or MOBILE HOME PARK as a business?? If so can you attach the link Because I can't seem to find that one. ?
Lateral thinking is also known as innovation. It's the fusion of two or more ideas to create a hybrid of sorts, and it's as old as time itself. The first cave man (or woman) who attached a wooden stick to a pounding rock made a good tool even better. It's not always rocket science, but practical, relevant and valuable innovation is not as easy as Paul makes it sound.
7-11 has an incredible story. They were an ice house in a time before refrigeration was involvnted. Instead of going out of business like all the others they sold eggs, cheese, milk etc and that's why they exist today

I am thinking about a new type of restaurants: eating-spots
in eating-spots, food keeps changing, chefs also rotate
this is opposed to current restaurants,
thanks to this rotation of food and chefs, eating-spots are more powerful than restaurants,
along with that, there is an app,
people vote for the food that will be cooked in the next days
menu is influenced by the live input of the people via an app.
So the menu of the restaurant keeps changing?
@@UpFlip this is correct,
the menu always changes, chefs also rotate, plus, there is an app where people influence the menu
