    Great Video, we just left there on Feb. 20th, and seeing it makes me want to go back. We spent a week here in Feb. 2020, returned on Feb. 7, 2021 right before the severe winter storm hit Texas. On Feb. 14th we were the only ones left on the beach. But hey, we are used to winter camping, just didn't expect to be camping in freezing temps for a week in southeastern Texas. Safe Travels you two!! 👍 Sean & Angie

      Sean & Angie, Awesome feedback. We just missed the cold snap as we departed Texas for Florida. Life on the road definitely needs to be flexible. Thanks for watching! Lou

    Wow. Almost a full year since you shot this video and what a change in fuel prices! Thanks for the video. This been a fairly regular stop on our way further south, in the winter escaping winter.

    I really appreciate all your videos. So nice to see what's there waiting for us. I also appreciate that you're giving us a peek at the restroom/shower facilities when available. It is some important insight for those of us traveling in smaller vehicles that don't plumbing! I hope you are having as wonderful a time as your videos show. Again, thank you so much for this and *all* your wonderful, detailed, videos!

    We stayed a week at Magnolia Beach exactly a year ago. Truly an amazing boondocking place. I used the outside shower a few times to freshen up (@ 55 degree Fahrenheit) after a sunny day on the beach.
    I would be nice if the small town of Magnolia Beach would have a couple of stores, restaurants, and bars in walking distance.

    I’m guessing fires aren’t allowed?

    • @LivingOurDreamNow
      @LivingOurDreamNow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Self contained propane fires should be okay, but camp fires are not allowed on this pristine hard shelled beach. Thanks for watching. Lou

    Nice video, thanks for sharing! I can't wait to make my way down there. How many days are you able to stretch your boondocking?

    • @LivingOurDreamNow
      @LivingOurDreamNow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Salty, You pose a great question. Pre-COVID we could boondock about 12 days before having to dump our tanks. However, during COVID we are almost exclusively using our on-board facilities and the black tank will only make it 6 or 7 days before we have to dump.

    How close was the nearest dump and fresh water station?

    • @LivingOurDreamNow
      @LivingOurDreamNow  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We usually cycle between hookups and dry camping so we probably did not have the need for a dump station during our visit. Generally, if the information you seek is not found within the four corners of the video, chances are I wouldn't recall anyway. We've visited over a thousand camping areas to date. Lou

      @@LivingOurDreamNow that's awesome. Our adventure finally begins this coming Sunday. We're taking 6 days to get to Padre Island. Hopefully that gives Texas some time to dig out and warm back up.

    Too hot in Texas to go camping I just talked to a guy from Texas here in Colorado the other day at Twin Lakes temperatures in the 70s 40s at night that's the only way to camp

    Why would you want to go to Texas too hot I'm up around Leadville Colorado where the temperature is nice and cool and they've already had frost this year that's the way to camp

    But it’s not totally free right. You have to pay the $12

    • @LivingOurDreamNow

      There is no fee to camp here. You may be thinking about another boondocking area several hours north and on the beach, not Port Lavaca Bay. If you are subscribed to my TH-cam Channel, you'll see this video in April.
