I love Magnolia Beach and have spent a lot of time there. That bay is waste deep for almost a mile out to the shipping channel where it drops 30 straight down with massive undercurrents. The little inlet next to that bridge you guys were walking by, is known to the locals as "The Crabbing Bridge" more crabs are caught in that inlet along that bridge then anywhere else along that beach. There are a million flounders and some secrete spots for giging them. The bay is full of "Gaftop" catfish. Bless you for picking up the loose trash. For the locals that is one of the saddest things about having that beach open like it is. I wish more people would take the time and effort to clean a little and leave the space a little nicer then they found it. The sunrise and sunset on that bay along that beach can be some of the most spectacular sites to see. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see what you guys find over in Port Lavaca. Enjoy!! @@LyfUninterrupted We were at Magnolia Beach in Jan 2020 for approx. a week. While we had 2 days of heavy rain, the couple of foggy mornings and other sunny days made up for the couple days of bad weather. FYI, the outside showers next to the bath house are free of spiders and crabs. At 55 degree in Jan they are refreshing.
That cotton candy sky around the 12:30 mark😍. Looks like you had some good ,rainy reading days. Or probably editing days for ya'll😊. Love your content. I was wondering about the covered areas that campers are parked under. Are those rented or owned? Just curious. We've actually been to Corpus Cristi. So it was nice to recognize the area. @@LyfUninterrupted we did not go....the weather turned bad and had to get to Pensacola in 2 days once the weather cleared. Would love to go back but not in Winter...haha.
Seeing those seagulls around Brian reminded me of the time we were in Mississippi to watch our son graduate from Air Force basic training in Biloxi. While walking along the beach, family in tow, I suddenly felt something odd in my hair that certainly wasn't supposed to be there. Instinctively, I reached up toward my head just as my wife began yelling at me to stop. I couldn't hear her clearly over the seagulls overhead cacophony of what I later determined was laughter. Looking at my now wet hand I immediately realized I'd been anointed by a seagull which had squirted what seemed, at the time, a cup's worth of multi-colored gooey mess not only on my head but down the back of my neck and the brand new t-shirt I'd just bought at a gift shop. Since then I always wear a hat, the wider the brim the better, on the beach.

Yes! The corrosion was especially bad when we were on South Padre Island.

Hi James! Yes, the salt air/water really corrodes everything. We've washed/rinsed the RV and Jeep a couple of times since being at the beaches in Texas.
Hardhead catfish are trash and nasty
Sea cats, Gafftop catfish (what we call them)is what you also may have caught, I didn’t see in video
These I like to eat! I’m not sure what you are calling Whiting? Not something we catch in the gulf🤷🏻♀️
The first two catfish must have been Sea Cats. They were smaller and looked nothing like the last one.
Do you fish and release or eat your catch?
It depends. If Brian is in the mood to clean fish he will keep them.
Hard heads!!!
👍
Brian, was the "shimmy" due to the new tires? or another issue?
Hi Larry. The coach had a very slight vibration prior to changing tires, but is more pronounced since having the new tires installed.
The previous owner battled this as well after installing Goodyear G670s. He had the front tires/wheels Road Force Balanced which helped bring everything within an acceptable level for him. Perhaps I’ll need to have that down with the new tires as well.
I also installed Centramatic balancers all around which help to further control out of balance situations, but haven’t seemed to help with whatever is going on with the new tires.
I’ve read that worn kingpins can create vibrations. Will have to take it back to a truck shop and have those inspected.
What month was this? We hardly ever have that many bad days in a row weather wise.
It was in November 2021
You had all kinds of weather in those 5 days. Would you stay there again?
Hi Nancy! Yes! We would defiantly stay there again.
I was wondering what type of driving license you need also do you need a CDL-A
Hi Kyle. Very few states require you to have a CDL to operate a motorhome. CDL's are intended for vehicles with commercial use, so unless you drive a motorhome for a living, you probably don't need a CDL. There are a few exceptions though. For motorhomes over 26,000 lb., Washington, DC, and Hawaii require you to have a CDL. Hope this helps.
