Love the video❤️ I just started my print-on-demand journey and found Crafted Threads. They have a ton of designs and it saved me so much time. They have something in every niche. And lifetime updates too!!
Thanks for the great vid Heather! I run a small shop on etsy selling print on demand art. I have found that success i've had up until now is all about how competative your prices are, how good your images are both for product and mockups (for the actual art i mainly use midjourney), and how much you're willing to spend on marketing (etsy ads) at least for the first year or so until your shop gains sales and high listing ranking organically. You also need to take into account fees taken from each product, and make sure you have enough money in your bank account to front the purchase of each POD order until you get paid by etsy whether that be weekly or daily. I'd suggest opting for daily if you are short on cashflow. Lastly, i find that the amount of products you have really shows etsy you are serious about your shop. They will in response push your products harder and you will find you have more activity in terms of your products being favorited, eventully resulting in sales. Hope this helps.
Thank you that helps a lot I recently opened Etsy shop it sucks I made two sales and it all down you are right you need money to pay in front before get paid by Etsy which I didn’t know until my first order and printify telling you should pay as before the order is made I was like what in The world . I think there is more important things these TH-camrs should talk about instead of showing what is selling on Etsy and add more competitors to the existing ones .😂
@everythingaboutamerica8766 Of course you have to pay Printify to fulfil the product! You are their customer, not the person buying from your Etsy shop. Sounds like you went into this without knowing enough about what you were doing.
@@SpeedbirdHeavy yes I went without knowing enough I just followed a course of one TH-camr who selling dreams like those but i learned a lot by myself and keep learning everyday

I'm an artist who can paint or draw anything I want, but I feel defeated because I don't understand the technical aspect of being an online artist. I need to partner with someone who knows all the tech side of online business and SEO so I can focus on cranking out art. Just being able to get my art from my canvas into the best format for POD/digital downloads would help me tremendously. I'm not a business person, I'm a creative person. Now days it seems one has to be both or they can forget about it. It's super frustrating!
As I read your post, I feel you putting walls up all around you protesting that you are not going to submit to the tech stuff that is now required. I felt the same way. When we were in art class learning how to blend colors or styles, no one mentioned anything about SEO yet, we were doing it anyway. In class, 50, 40, 30, or 20 years ago, we may not have known "SEO" but we know how our audience was. We knew what (not) to show our parents, we knew what to show college reps when examining our portfolios and we knew or learned to hear what clients or customers needed, So, my understanding is that SEO is a list of characteristics that your client or customer wouldn be looking for in the piece of art that you're offering. As far as the digital stuff, yes, it is a difficult concept, but so was learning oil paint and watercolor and collages. Learning the different types of digital types, svgs, etc are like different types of media. break the terms down to what you can personally relate to. Since starting, I have had the most fun with POD it's like imagine if and your keyboard is the magic wand. and "presto" it's there.
I was the same too. That's why I went to college to get a degree that would teach me other set of skills. And I got my bachelors of science in Marketing instead of going to college for a fine arts degree. I will always create art because I enjoy it so I will always continue to learn it. Meanwhile marketing is something I knew 0 about but that I also knew was gonna be useful to me since I've always wanted to be a business owner at some point in life. And nothing forces you most to learn something than actually committing to it through school. And I discovered I like marketing too. It's a very creative field as well. That's why I decided to also start my own marketing agency as well. You can always decide to learn some of the basic stuff yourself or outsource it to someone who's already done the studying.

I really appreciate all your tips, techniques and resources you've shared with us!
Hey Heather, thanks for sharing this. Could you please add a video that focuses a lot on the first part of the product. Keyword research, competitor research, etc. before you decide what design and text to make and also what products you will select and why. Very few people actually show these steps, it's mostly all about the design, product, and listing it.
Hey Heather, great Video with an excellent Tutorial! Thanks for highlighting our framed Posters, which really look amazing for any wall-art. Best Regards from Posterflow
So the shipping for the US for this framed print is over $40. Am I reading that right? You would charge more for shipping than the actual product? I’m so confused. 😐

I just realized this too. Way too expensive and slow for my fellow American customers. I completed the listing for learning, then delisted it. It was worth the $.20 listing fee to complete it, but not worth the $54 in shipping costs to leave it.
hey maybe you could try using AI to enhance your paintings? even if they’re unfinished you can still upload to an AI to finish it so you’re not putting in so much work. but high quality work that was actually hand-painted will always be highly valued. you just have to find people who are willing to pay more :) i wish you the best of luck on your journey🩷

Awesome tips on this new program, thank you! As a graphic designer of 30 years, I don't really get the fascination trending with ultra-minimal designs. What you have there is basically a cartoon image with a script font underneath - more BASIC than beautiful I would say - just like a kids very simple coloring page. But hey, if this is selling and that's what people want today ... great! Takes literally 5 seconds to make! cha Ching!
I really enjoyed your video and watched 5 times to follow each & every step you did to create that wonderfull digital product. I just want to ask how much is the end profit in % after all deductions from etsy side. Love to see your reply. Thanks again.
I should have addressed this in the video but the second way to download is as an SVG instead and this will scale easier. Let me know if the SVG version fixes the problem as someone else watching may have the same issue! ❤
I create mine in png format because png is “lossless.” This means it doesn’t lose pixels the way a jpg or pdf does. I also make sure my resolution is 300 dpi. (Resolution, or “dots per inch.” I also open it in Adobe Illustrator if it gives me trouble elsewhere. Export as a 300 dpi png format from there.
In alot of your videos I make notes so I know how to do the steps you take to do something and you go so fast in between the tabs and buttons you click that I don't know how you got there. For example how did you look to see all those tags you saw on left side?
Hi Heather, I’m trying to get my art noticed,I predominately use poster paper with paint-pencils-pen-markers etc could I some how use my paintings for wall art and or digital prints ? Please tell me yes (n how) I’m so excited just by the thought I can get my art out there finally AND good chance that some will sell !!! Thank you so very much!!
Hello Heather. Thank You for great video. I have one short question about the Etsy shop. What option would be better? 1. Concentrate on one theme f.e "owls" and create POD with multiple products with owls like mugs, t-shirt, notebooks etc? 2. Create shop with only one products f.e T-shirts shop with different types of t-shirts?
Hey, I have a question. When you were doing the change and selected personalization name with 12 letters. How the change will look like? It will replace what it was written for the name or phrase the costumer inserts?
I love this! I have a question about the AI art work on etsy however. they say it has to be varied from the original substantially. how do you modify your images to fit the etsy requirement?
Love your explanations👏- and thank you so much for showing what Tags and descriptions you actually would use - I think your the only person that does this I’ve found on YT - so super helpful - so thank you again 🙏☺️
Thanks so much for sharing this. Just getting into the world of Etsy and you have helped me out tremendously. Quick question. When I created my art and placed it on the selected print sizes you did, it changed my shipping price to $53ish to ship. Is that an error on my part or the size of the product is just that much to ship?
nasty for what reason? If this wasn't helpful, specifically what ware your problem with it? These comments reflect YOUR own toxicity not anything about this video
Dear Heather! PLEASE can you do a video on how to make an Etsy shop banner in Midjourney. And another on how to make and place the AI images into smart object frames using Photopea?
Her file is not at print quality, it was an example. My digital artwork won't fit in Etsy's email (they have a limit on file size). I created a PDF with a link to my google drive folder where all 5 files are stored (1 file for each image ratio). You can use .jpg, .png, .pdf, .svg (and others) as the file.
Do you use any tools other than Everbee for market research? Can you please do a full tutorial on market research and finding niches? Thanks for your videos, they’re super helpful!
At timestamp 28.08 in the video, you show on the right of the screen a drop-down that lists the Tags for the keyword search terms. What do you click on to get this drop-down Tags list? Thanks!
I wish you explained how the link to the customers created. I mean do I have to create separate site for this, or Etsy will create that link? Digital market where I’d like to get into, but I did not find details in now to proceed after customer submitted the order.
I wish that I could add a digital option with the framed posting of wall art. I thought I had seen this done in other listings? Hmmm and thanks so much. I started awhile back and the “SKU” option confuses me so much. I am never sure what it does or how it will affect my listing!!!
when you link a print provider like printify or printful to your Etsy shop, the SKU's will flag the print provider when one of the items you have with them is sold. So the framed poster in her video comes with a SKU from Printify. Since she has Printify linked with her Etsy shop, when someone purchases that item, Printify immediately knows which item it is.
I think I understood that because my shop linked with Printify but I guess what I don’t understand is if I’m selling a digital product from my shop which I do mostly do I need to put a SKU in there or does it make any difference for my business or my shop to add a SKU number? Also during Christmas I found out the hard way that by not ensuring there was no SKU in a personalized product like a Christmas ornament through printify they send it out right to production. So I did learn a few things the hard way, ha ha. but I am still not sure when I should add anything in their for a Sky # or if I need to bother for just digital products download that I’m selling in my shop.
Hi Heather Just saw your video and thank you for the information you provided. Printflow ships out of Germany only. Any other providers for the framed posters that you’re aware of?
Great video thank you so much it helped clear up a few questions i have with this. when i started i tried posting my photography art is digital but nothing came of it.. then thought to try to sell it as canvas again nothing. but i will say that i have gotten more views with the canvas versions. Its probably my SEO or something. But you definitely gave me hope so thank you
Hey Heather certainly birthflower and zodiac sign( personalization) are beautiful niches. I know that you are running your second store which is pod, is it possible to add digital products in same store? will it not disturb the seo ? Please advice
So please help me understand...you can put in a print category even though its not a print...wouldn't that be a lie? Also how do you distinguish that its a print or not?
Hi Heather I have a POD apparel shop on Etsy if I was to offer Wall Art but stuck within my niche do you think I could add it to my shop or should I open a separate shop for wall art ? Thanks so much in advance 😊
I think this is a myth I hear a lot is that you one can sell one product or one niche. If you excel at one niche then it's not a bad thing but you definitely can have a successful Etsy shop with multiple products and niches! Hopefully this helps! ❤
Hi Heather, thanks so much for this inspiring video! What do you mean by personalised art/ print? Is that where someone provides a photo of their dog for example and you make a piece of art relating to that photo of the dog? Thanks in advance! 🙏
Thanks for watching! ❤ The Printify ratings change week to week and month to month so this number does fluctuate. I've used any providers rated over 7 I use due to this fluctuation. Hopefully this makes sense and helps!
What would you say is the absolute best Etsy POD product to start with as a beginner to maximize probability of success and is relatively low barrier to entry? thanks
You lost me at the very end. If you sell a digital download, I have to send a link to the product to the customer? Etsy doesn’t make the file available to them upon purchase?? And at what point did you link the Printiful site to the Etsy listing?? Like we were on the Printiful site and then somehow transitioned to it being ready to sell/list on Etsy….. could you explain how you link the two? Thanks!
Hi dear I want to take your course but i want to make sure from 1 thing. Can work and do all of steps on all of this websites from 12.9 pro IPAD? Cause i do not have a laptop.
So how does one make a digital wall art print or anything else for that matter...and then get it on to Etsy?? I have NO idea!! What if I want to sell say, nursing lunch boxes....obv I wont be making them and I dont have a factory...how does this work? I am totallllllll beginner!!
My question is, how much promoting have they done and how much is spent on ads in order to be seen and found in a saturated market. I have no doubt it can be done, I just question how easy it is.
Hi Heather, it’s Dave your Etsy friend in the UK! Thanks for your video, very informative as usual. Do you think it would be better to open a separate Etsy digital only store or mix the two types together, physical and digital? Thanks again our Heather! You take care and be careful out there! ❤
I used to say that digital and physical should be separate but from new shops and data I've seen, having all in one versus separate does not negatively impact your Etsy shop as of the current algorithm. I personally do both in one now so I'd recommend it unless you want to seperate shops for reasons like fearing low reviews on physical products versus digital. Hopefully this helps! ❤
@@itsheatherstudio Thanks Heather I appreciate your wisdom. I guess you would need to be careful to allow for any sales discount you would have in your store for any of your digital products too, thanks again ❤️
So... with the AI, is it trained on public domain images or was it trained with scraped, copyrighted images? I'd avoid using it if it's unknown due to ethics.
Sorry for the question I'm trying to set up a shop on Etsy and it says I have to pay a one off fee of £11 to set up the shop. Is this normal? Or is it a scam? Because everyone says the Etsy store is free. Thanks
Those numbers are slightly misleading - it's full Price, and most of digital shops have neverending sales up to 50-70% 🤔 I was checking it with my shop - I have physical products but still... I wish EBee data was true, it would be nice 😂 With cheap items like 2$/pcs almost half will be taken by fees - 0.20$ for listing, after sale next 0.20$ for renewal, -6.5% Etsy comision, and also processing of payment goes with -%. So honestly it can easily end as work in the name of work, especially when you need to pay for traffic (ads) 🤔
This is a very informative video Thank you so much for sharing. I have a background in professional photography that goes back over 5o years. In my archives of photos I have the original shots of wildlife, butterflies, flowers, etc., etc., Before considering POD folks saw my work framed and basically purchased it on the spot to enhance the environment of their homes. I noticed that you used Kittl to create art. However, can I use my original photos for home decor and use the Printify platform to produce the various wall mounts you mentioned. Please share your thoughts and any advice you may have for me. I look forward to your reply. Again, thanks a bunch. P.S. Will the free version of Everbee give me the same information you pointed out in your presentation. I would like to try it out before making a purchase.
Yes, you can use your original photos instead of the AI flower in this example. The print provider is just creating reprints of whatever you send them. So digitize your photos, make sure they are high DPI scans (like 300 DPI), and crop/size them for whatever ratio you want. Think of all the Ansel Adams reprints that have been sold over the years.

Hey heather if you want to sell digital and t shirts/ other things etc would you have separate shops on Etsy: one for digital items one for POD etc ?
Iced Mocha is my favorite, Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Great video Heather. You explain things so clearly. I love my coffee hot with vanilla creamer!
Thanks for watching!❤ Vanilla creamer is soo good!
Hi there, Your content links have error messages. Please advise thanks
What type of computer do you recommend for your Etsy business? Desktop? Apple? Microsoft? Thank you for your responses
Thank you, Heather! I am really enjoying V2 of Kittl's AI! And I love Iced Coffee!
Oooh, iced coffee is the best!! Thanks for watching ❤
Hey,
I have a question. When you were doing the change and selected personalization name with 12 letters. How the change will look like? It will replace what it was written for the name or phrase the costumer inserts?
Love this video. Will try Kittl out shortly. Thank you. 🙂
Is it confusing to sell both POD and digital art in the same store? Should you have a separate store for digital only?
I have a coffee in my hand and just come on your channel to enjoy my coffee and your video for learning by the way Thanks❤
Heather; would also like to know what alternative site you would sell on if Etsy didn’t exist?
The market is bait videos for hollow tutorials like this ☺️
nasty for what reason? If this wasn't helpful, specifically what ware your problem with it? These comments reflect YOUR own toxicity not anything about this video
Hi Heather thank you so much for another great video we so appreciate you 🤗
Thanks for watching ❤
Why is the shipping so much from Germany for posterflow?
Dear Heather! PLEASE can you do a video on how to make an Etsy shop banner in Midjourney. And another on how to make and place the AI images into smart object frames using Photopea?
Other videos I've seen say to download as a PDF. Does PNG work the same as PDF?
Yes normally the digital downloads are in PDF format
Her file is not at print quality, it was an example. My digital artwork won't fit in Etsy's email (they have a limit on file size). I created a PDF with a link to my google drive folder where all 5 files are stored (1 file for each image ratio). You can use .jpg, .png, .pdf, .svg (and others) as the file.
Wow, I’m enjoying your content. Thanks for sharing
How did you save your design so that you could attach it as a digital file?
Do you use any tools other than Everbee for market research? Can you please do a full tutorial on market research and finding niches? Thanks for your videos, they’re super helpful!
At timestamp 28.08 in the video, you show on the right of the screen a drop-down that lists the Tags for the keyword search terms. What do you click on to get this drop-down Tags list? Thanks!
I wish you explained how the link to the customers created. I mean do I have to create separate site for this, or Etsy will create that link? Digital market where I’d like to get into, but I did not find details in now to proceed after customer submitted the order.
absolutely incredible info! thank you so much
Can we create more than 1 etsy shop that jas different niches?
If you create on a smaller size and then sell bigger sizes, does the print look good on all sizes?
Does kittl work on iPad? Do you use windows?
Hi Heather Just saw your video and thank you for the information you provided. Printflow ships out of Germany only. Any other providers for the framed posters that you’re aware of?
Why is it blurred tho?
Great video thank you so much it helped clear up a few questions i have with this. when i started i tried posting my photography art is digital but nothing came of it.. then thought to try to sell it as canvas again nothing. but i will say that i have gotten more views with the canvas versions. Its probably my SEO or something. But you definitely gave me hope so thank you
Yes! Canvas and framed do really well for decor! Thanks for watching ❤
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I appreciate this
Hey Heather certainly birthflower and zodiac sign( personalization) are beautiful niches.
@@itsheatherstudio thanks so much Heather I cant wait for your next video have an awesome day! 🤗❤
Hi Heather, thanks so much for this inspiring video! What do you mean by personalised art/ print? Is that where someone provides a photo of their dog for example and you make a piece of art relating to that photo of the dog? Thanks in advance! 🙏
Hello! Heather,
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!❤
@@itsheatherstudio I'm learning a lot of good information from you.
Thank you!
I appreciate you for sharing this, excellent!
Thanks for the video. What is the lowest satisfaction rating you would accept from a vendor on Printify? Is 8.5 too unpredictable? Thanks
Thanks for watching! ❤ The Printify ratings change week to week and month to month so this number does fluctuate. I've used any providers rated over 7 I use due to this fluctuation. Hopefully this makes sense and helps!
Cappuccino is lovely.. You do such beautiful work.
Agreed!! Thanks for watching❤
What would you say is the absolute best Etsy POD product to start with as a beginner to maximize probability of success and is relatively low barrier to entry? thanks
ahhh the million dollar question! most gurus just tell you to buy the 'tools' and do research and that's pretty much what you have to do...
As summer is coming, I would recommend you to start with all-over print clothing such as hawaiian shirts, jersey shirts and polo shirts.
@@tubeloop5240 which suppliers that you use to fulfill these products?
Me running to printify as i watch this to make some wall art 🏃♀️
Dont you have a everbee discount link??
ill definitely try that, thanks!
Thanks!
appreciate for sharing this with us, excellent video
Hi dear
I want to take your course but i want to make sure from 1 thing.
Can work and do all of steps on all of this websites from 12.9 pro IPAD?
Cause i do not have a laptop.
And 166$ will be monthly payment for 3 month?, or do you want the 3 payments in one month?
Would this image you created via AI still be approved for use on Etsy given the latest policy update from Etsy regarding AI mockups?
So how does one make a digital wall art print or anything else for that matter...and then get it on to Etsy?? I have NO idea!!
What if I want to sell say, nursing lunch boxes....obv I wont be making them and I dont have a factory...how does this work? I am totallllllll beginner!!
My question is, how much promoting have they done and how much is spent on ads in order to be seen and found in a saturated market. I have no doubt it can be done, I just question how easy it is.
you just convinced me on doing it
Thank you, really helped me!
Thank you Heather!
I need help. Been doing this but no sales yet
So... with the AI, is it trained on public domain images or was it trained with scraped, copyrighted images?
I'd avoid using it if it's unknown due to ethics.
Great tips. Do you know any supplier provide metal wall arts?
Printify is one.
wow, great video. thanks so much
love the sweater!!!!
Thank you so much, it's from cupshe(not sponsored haha)! 🥰
My favorite coffe is ice cold, black and a little bitter. Just like my heart.
YES! JUST WHAT I NEEDED, TY!!!
Sorry for the question I'm trying to set up a shop on Etsy and it says I have to pay a one off fee of £11 to set up the shop. Is this normal? Or is it a scam? Because everyone says the Etsy store is free. Thanks
Hi,it is possible to make full income from etsy pod shirts or digital products on etsy?
very helpful, worth the watch
