if you're have trouble getting the boosted fertilizers, u need to complete "Hard to Swallow" for plant growth, "A Crown of Mud and Anger" for fungi growth and "Say Cheese!", for the bug growth up
Worth noting that Persistent Pest doesn't unlock immediately at 4* - you need to unlock the Rotten Vale before the Biologist will give you the optional quest.
