When monsters spot each other and roar at each other 3-4 times each and you're just stuck in-between them wasting time because they want to talk shit before fighting each other.
The AI of all the monsters in the MHW is very unpredictable. That makes the game so exciting every time you play. It makes you feel as if the monster is so real.
They're pretty predictable, for example when nerg has his spikes fully grown and harden(spikes turns black) thats when he does his nerggy bomb. All the killer moves from the monsters are very telegraph-all you should be worrying about is spacing and reacting on time to control the hunt other than that you can see they're moves coming from a mile away. I invested 230 hours into MHW, I'm at a point where I farm tempered elders out of necessity because its fun.
jchewbaka we got it you're the best. Seriously. It's not like this monster hunter is the easiest one so far cause it appeals to a larger audience nono it's because you are the best. Nice example btw naming all elder dragons finishers that are made to be predictable while every other movement pattern is really life-like and hard to predict. But hey anything to prove on the internet you are good on a video game uh?
Pascal Simioli I mean I got agree this MH is the easiest of the series. Monsters are super predictable, Nergigante is both an an easy and hard monster though. Easy in the fact he's really predictable and can be tripped constantly and easily if you constantly at least break one of his spikes. The hardest only if you fail to effectively do damage and break spikes
1:53 It sounds a bit too easy to say they're designed to avoid your stuff, while your target was simply charging towards your Palico. I think if you left your Palico out, and then be in a similar situation, it would either turn towards you, hit you with its tail, roar or flee if you did a certain amount of damage to it. Them avoiding your attacks is rather farfetched.
Jesus... I regret ever clicking on this video. The amount of misinformation in this video boggles my mind. You talk about MH as if you never played the game. - Monsters do not aggro sharpening players. Because you get hit often while sharpening does not mean the AI aggros you. It just means you are not sharpening at the right time/place. - Roars are tied to a monster's damage intake and exhaust status. Again, monsters interrupting your combos is because you've dealt a certain amount of damage, not because they want to stop your combo. Correlation does not imply causation. - Monsters do not dodge. They change aggro depending on damage taken or player/palico skills. Monsters always have a target for their actions. Unless it is a wind-up move for an attack (Nergigante dive, for example), monsters will never move away from a player for the sole purpose of dodging. The example given at 2:00 is actually being a bad player. You blow your load when you don't actually have an opening. You should always hold those strong moves when a monster is stunned/down/flashed/trapped/exhausted or is giving you an idle animation. - Monsters will attack differently depending on your position relative to them, but the way they attack is random. If you are standing forward and away from them, they may either fire a projectile or pounce or move to do a close-range attack. However, you cannot predict or somehow force a monster to do a certain action. The monster may change aggro even without anyone attacking it.
They can be entirely random, i think the creators wanted a slight pattern to each monster, when it takes in a certain number of damage it waits like 10 to 15 seconds before it roars and runs (or just roars) because if you dealt 500 - 600 damage to a great jagras and it roared and ran every single time you reached the heath faze, it would take up time... but... if you can reach the second or third heath phase before the timer runs out and runs away it stops the timer because you deal too much damage thus killing it without it running away also another problem is attack phases when its little icon to the bottom left of its monster picture on the mini map turns red and the monsters patterns and heath slightly changes that PROBABLY means you've pasted the heath phase
How about before saying it's incorrect and "not true", you provide some evidence to why you think they're not programed that way? Capcom has a long history with fighting games and input reading in combination with animation frames down to a scince dating back to the first Mega Man. Do you really think these things aren't taken into considetation during the balancing of monsters and development of a game?
(2:00) Nah Monsters don't dodge attacks, you were just unlucky it decided to attack your cat. Since your cat is far away Vaal Hazak performed a jump attack which luckily dodged your amped element discharge. Also, when monster roar it’s only because that monster is leaving, going to rage mode or begin battle. You said they only stay in one place for few seconds then you should not use strong attacks. Strong attack animations are designed to last longer so monsters can punish you when you use it incorrectly.
Exactly Just playigng the game I can already tell their not that advanced of an AI...monsters only tend to re-position them self when hunters are too close to them..so the monster can then use a different attack... As for roaring im 99% sure that's just random. Most of their movesets are random..which is why sometimes you find monsters awkwardly spamming the same move multiple times..
@@whothou Not exactly random, there do seem to be some trigger effects. as Eddy said, beginning battle and leaving area, they roar. both times for the tactical advantage. (tzizi ya ku seems to be slightly different here... I could have sworn last time I went against it it flashed me instead.) entering rage mode it roars also, but that's usually not the only indicator. And on top of that, roaring does appear to be part of the monster move set, as an opener for attacks.
@@nathanglazier7460 it is... But they do have fixed movesets... Like you said entering and leaving combat is fixed.. when two monsters that can have a turf war are close enough.. the roar they do after each other is fixed...the only time they won't roar at each other is of their in the middle of a move.... At that point the monster that initially roared now will either attack normally or keep trying to roar and trigger a turf war with the other monster... Monsters can and will sometimes do things that see weird or crazy as far as timing goes... It's random... And these monsters really don't even have much movesets... It's very likely they might do something the moment you do something.
@@whothou yeah their moveset is rather minimal. also you forgot the most annoying part about roars... the summoning of bazelgeuse. try and chase your first HR kulu, it squarks once in that first mire area.. and all of a sudden you're being carpet bombed, and everything is running for it, you, your mark, and the rest of the local wildlife. Then you try and deal with an anja in the forest.... carpet bombed again. And oh definitely, there are a lot of coincidences but thats to be expected when you're in a dance with both you and your mark using a small range of different moves. And it will always suck if your mark jumps back for a lunge attack as you make a move that keeps you locked in place.. just knowing you could die in a second and spamming the evade button just hoping you get out of the animation soon enough.
The decorations, jesus... ive got 200 hours in the game and still have garbage for decorations. And that Stingy old woman in town just takes ALL my decorations and gives me copies of the ones i already have
I personally think people only realise they are being attacked when they are sharpening their weapon because that is the moments they always remember. All the moments you are at high risk you remember more because your more tense on trying not to die.
Not really, it's pretty random. It's just about knowing what sequence of animations the monster is going to chose. I sharpen my weapon with no speed sharpening in the middle of a solo nerg fight the moment he turns to my cat because I know he's going to dedicate 4+ seconds to hitting my cat. Sometimes I sharpen, he goes to attack me, I roll, sharpen again, he decides to attack me, and I wait out the third attack for him to stop. It's just confirmation bias that "they know" or decide to hit you when you are more vulnerable. You have to play reactively to them.
4alw21 Adding to your point, I personally noticed that's actually what most new players believe. They don't know about the monsters cycles, doesn't matter if it's a strong attack, aggression or roaring cycle. An experienced player can predict when he has the time for a charged attack or when to sharpen their weapon, I rarely get interrupted while sharpening even when I'm right next to the monster because I know the cycles. It has nothing to do with an AI that detects if the monster has time to start an attack, only with player experience. I haven't noticed different amounts of strong attacks or roars when I switched from a Dragon Piercer to a Dual Blade build, according to Darksides claims, I should get MANY more roars/strong attacks in a D. Piercer build, but just as FalconPunch said, you're more likely to remember being interrupted in moments that you don't want to get interrupted, creating such misbelieves.
I'm pretty sure you read to deeply into...this video is purely speculation.. And im 99% sure monsters don't purposely dodge strong attacks.. They only re-position themselves so they can hit you...If i were to stand under a monster for a certain time.. any monster would try to back up..so they can use another move.
Monsters don’t porpusely dodge strong attacks but they do dodge attacks, you just notice in more often with strong attacks because they dodge more often simply because they have more time to do so
He said it was due to their AI which is actually correct. Whether or not they do it based on whatever circumstance doesn't matter. It boils down to the AI and that's literally what he stated in the video. Thus he's correct.
These newcomers is funding your game and making your game a success. But you know if only idiots like you played the game? The game would flop and fail. Nobody is being a know it all. Why are you even looking at this video? Aint you a vet? Don't you know what you doing? Try hard garbage ass nigga. Go back to "gitting gud" as all you sorry try hards say. He said the AI. Go rewatch the video. Plus you can't refute him anyway. Provide evidence towards your claims instead of sayng. "Nu uh it dont do that." Head ass. Niggas can't even refute me. The burden of proof lies with you. DOn't respond unless you wanna prove how stupid you are. Only evidence will suffice from this point forward.
Ike Kimita lmao you clearly don't know what your talking about.. So not sure why your here... Guy said "not monsters he said the ai" well no shit.. and what do you think controls the monsters and their actions? The AI... So that's clearly what were talking about when we say monsters... I don't really need proof it's blindly obvious... Just walk up near a monster and no attack it'll behave the same way... And it doesn't know what weapon you have... Lmfaooo.. I could have a hammer or s bow and be standing far away and the monster will try some random attack most likely dashing at me to close the distance unless it has some ranged attack it can do. You don't even have proof that his claims are correct and you believe him.. this is why we have idiots in the world.
One thing to think about with the final build, because I use one very similar, is to try and get mushroommancer in there. Since almost all of the mushrooms also work with wide ranged. And if you really wanna hit that support game home, top it off with that hunting horn.
this video is well made and well informed. he leaves a TON of room in the explanations of his builds which are clearly made to his play preference of pure DPS. everyone uses skills in different ways and acts as different roles. I appreciate the information in this video supports a lot of my own observations while playing. I also appreciate this as one of the few MHW videos that hasn't shoved an opinion down my throat about how the game is SUPPOSED to be played and for that I thumb you, sir
You haven't read the rest of the comment section, have you? He's clearly divulging false/misunderstood information, he's as well informed as a newbie can be xD
This is a fantastic video. Probably the best Monster Hunter video on mixed sets I've watched so far. Very much like the emphasis on skills over specific armor pieces. Very well presented. Well done.
For any newcomers to MHW, understand that healer builds are NOT built like that. Many builds do NOT use utility skills [speed eating(mostly on melee weapon healers), earplugs, quick sheath] since MHW directly caters to high damage output. If you want to be a good healer, you do NOT need to use SnS. Many end-game healers like to use light bowgun and sometimes even dual blades. Also understand that it is everyone's job to pull their 25% damage in a full session. If your build looks as if you are just there to "survive" and heal from the backline, there is a good chance that end-game hosts will kick you. No one wants to end a hunt in 25 minutes vs 15 minutes. Just my two cents. If you really do not want to be a burden to the team, I highly suggest making a light bowgun healer build. I really enjoy using the Devil's Madness LBG and spamming Sticky 3 to build KO's for crowd control and using your special ammo when the monster is knocked down. This also allows you to hit the monster from range while also healing your allies when needed. Last point; it is everyone's job to heal themselves. The only fight where people should rely on the healer is vs Extremoth when your tank pulls aggro.
I would like to mention that as far as I know Super Recovery does not stack with Recovery Speed but DOES stack with Recovery Up Recovery Speed only affects the red portion of your health and once that portion is fully healed Super Recovery kicks in and Recovery Up is the skill that will buff it, if you've got the materials for it you can also put some Health Regen on your weapon leading to you getting good use out of that Peak Performance Hopefully this helps people!
Crimson assassin I run a build with the dear hecatalia charge blade with a similar setup. it's a solid weapon with 2 tier 2 slots. Here's the setup if you ever wanna try it. Dear Hecatalia Nergigante Helm b Vaal Hazak Mail b Kaiser Vambraces a Nergigante Coil b Dober Greaves b Attach Charm III Decorations for your consideration 1 Tenderizer Jewel 2 1 Mighty Jewel 2 1 Recovery Jewel 3 Vitality Jewels 3 Medicine Jewels Skills should be Attack lvl 7 Health Boost lvl 3 Recovery Up lvl 3 Recovery Speed lvl 3 Weakness Exploit lvl 3 Maximum Might lvl 3
I appreciate the offer but I don't really use the charge blade, I use Dual Blades, Gunlance, Greatsword, Insect Glaive, Switch Axe and Heavy Bow Gun and I'm trying to get into Hunting Horn I like to mess around with lots of weapons XD but my main is Dual Blades, secondary mains being the Gunlance and Switch Axe Thanks anyhow though!
Yea recovery speed clearly says "(the red portion of the health gauge)." So super recovery is not affected by that skill, nice to see a little goof there lol it happens
Another option for the first set can be obtained swapping the Dober mail with the Bazel mail beta. So you gain 2 point in Guard, and have two slots lv 1 instead of one lv 2. Of course this build requires a ton of jewels. This is what I use: Tyrannis II Rathalos helm b (atk 2 + one atk jwl) Bazel mail b (guard 2 + two guard jwls) Death stench grup b (focus 2 + one atk and one guard jwls) Nergigante coil b (atk 2 + non elemental jwl) Dodogama greaves b (capacity boost 1 + one atk jwl) Artillery charm III This leads me to: Attack 7 Guard 5 Artillery 3 Focus 2 Non elemental boost 1 Capacity boost 1 What you guys think? Pretty nice video btw, keep it going!
You can also add the "Free meal" skill in the support build to have a 25% to not spend your healing items which let's you spam heals and buffs more often
WOW, you are truly the first youtuber that got it right. After seeing all the Arkz video's and the like you are definitely saying the things that reflect the frustration i feel while playing. The game being aware of it's self didn't we stop doing these game mechanics back in the early 2000 when games got AI and good NPC intelligence. We are not just fighting monsters in this game we are fighting the game it's self. Good job. Fightinh Xeno last night was such a pain with him touching you when ever you went in to combo .
Monsters do not react to your specific actions, only to the damage they’ve sustained and your position. The time a monster stays idle after an action is dependent on monster type, rage and stamina. The monsters in those clips in the beginning would have acted exactly the same even if you had not attacked at all. I think the way you presented that wrong info is very questionable. I can understand getting the feeling that that’s what’s happening, but you shouldn’t just make claims like that in a video aimed at beginners without knowing for sure that it’s true
A surprising build I happily stumbled upon while mixing armor for the sake of fashion; I call this the 'Jack of all Trades' Legionnaire. Bazel helm, vambraces, and coil, all Beta, High Metal mail Beta, and Dante's boots. Weapon, Hunter tools and Charm are free to switch up for preference. Accommodation for decorations totals up to 3 tier 3 slots, 1 tier 2 slot, and 3 tier 1 slots. Base skills provided by the armor set are as follows; Lv 5 Ear Plugs, Lv 2 Critical Draw, Lv 2 Weakness Exploit, and Lv 1 Ice Attack, and last but not least, Bazelguese Protection. The base skills provided by the set pretty much speak for themselves, and the decoration slots afforded is moderate in number, but overall I feel this build is extremely versatile. Best of all, it's a build for the fashion-minded. Though personally, the Bazel Helm for female hunters is kinda guady, so I overlay that with the Homare headpiece. Chest armor can be swapped for anything with the last missing Ear Plug level compensated with a decoration. Personally I use Brigade Suit Alpha for Lv 2 Divine Blessing, 1 tier 2 gem slot, and MORE FASHION. Here are some of the jewels I main for this 'Jack of all Trades' build; - Sharp Jewel - Footing Jewel - Dragonseal Jewel - Mighty Jewel - Grinder Jewel - Sheath Jewel - Friendship Jewel - Gobbler Jewel - Satiated Jewel - Critical Jewel - Mighty Bow Jewel - Recovery Jewel - Destroyer Jewel
I would like to note that switching rathilos helm with bazel helm plus 1 ear plug jewel would make lv5 ear plugs with the first charge blade set. Which means you'll have more opportunities to get off your a+o a+o combo since roars from anything will no longer affect you. Ofcurse this means you lose 6 attack to gain the ability to DPS more often so this is only a suggested tweak to this already amazing build.
A bit of a misinformation already from this video (haven't watched the rest. Feels like it's full of the same). The monsters don't react to what you're pressing, it's always been damage and a random action depending on position of it's next target. For all the other MHW viewers looking for proper information, gaijinhunter would be more informed of these matters, or Arekkz gaming, or just join in the Monster Hunter wiki and read, and post questions there. (monsterhunterworld.wiki) -Team Dark side's TH-cam channel for meta gaming. -Cantaperme for timing and soloing. He does all the hunts solo, with most weapon, with all monster level. -gaijinhunter and Arekkz for info.
I think he got pretty much right though, dont know how many times monsters avoid my strongest attack at the precise moments before it get hit its crazy.
If you have ever played any of the other Monster Hunter games, you'd would know that this is incorrect. IDK how many times I've faced a monster, and I know exactly the next move that will happen so that I can land my level 3 charge on my greatsword, or stun it with my hammer. Monsters have different rage meters, and random actions. You think they dodge your strongest attack, because you notice it more often. The monster cannot magically read your button input. If you want proof, look up countless videos of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and generations of hammer, and greatsword users. You'll see they can easily identify the monsters movement.
Yukine Hiruko I don't know why, it seems when someone makes a good video a flock of elitist show up and try to dis or make these guys trying to help look bad.
I didn't think the my community was this toxic but I realized it when I ask some of you elitist a question and the best answer you guys could ever come up with is "Git Gud" it's pretty sad in my opinion. At least this guy is trying to help.
Blackyonbi Kage Just saying focus IS actually godly for speed runners because you output like 30% more SAEDs than usual, but for casual playing it’s useless
I really loved the Invincible Hunter build, but the Commision Jacket requires all optional quests to be completed, so it's impossible to do as an intro build. Inspired by your build, I worked out this: Head: Jagras Helm Alpha (Speed Eating 2) Chest: Rathian Mail Beta (Botanist 1, Recovery Up 1, 1 Decoration Slot) Arms: Tzitzi Vambraces Beta (Stun Resistance 2, 1 Decoration Slot) Waist: Tzitzi Coil Alpha (Wide-Range 2, Water Attack 1) Legs: Rathian Greaves Alpha (Recovery Up 2) Charm: Friendship III (Wide-Range 3) This ends up with Wide-Range 5/5, Speed Eating 2/3, Recovery Up 3/3, Stun Resistance 2/3, Water Attack 1/5, and Botanist 1/4. The last two are wasteful, but it gets you Wide-Range, Speed Eating, Recovery up, and Stun Resistance a lot sooner than the Commision Jacket set up does, with two decoration slots to put towards maxing speed eating and Stun Resist, and makes you functional as a healer. Hope this helps some peeps.
Man this is an incredible video, props. I love that invincible healer build since i play with 2 other friends. Thank you for including a support class, not many people do that. This is just awesome!
The Black Baron The HH isn't really a healing build weapon though. It's mainly for buffing. SnS, heck even GS, is considered better for the wide range stuff. Curious though what do you think about the wide range build?
@@andrawisnu9955 I'm quite fond of wide range. I'm a team player, I always sport life powder and the other powders. Usually playing GS, HH(in MhF U) . One Major selling point on the wide range skill is that if you don't have any gems, you get to wear the wiggler head. Wigglers are adorable.
The Black Baron I'm relatively new to MH (only played Tri before MHW) and I'm just trying wide-range out. I'm asking specifically about the wide-range build in the video, what do you think about it? I'm trying to figure out a build for myself and I'm looking for ideas..
@@andrawisnu9955 How the fuck does GS have a wide range of utility? I main GS and all we fucking do is try to hit TCS... No versatility there. In fact, it's the same with SnS cause youre still doing the backstep charge LOL. Granted SnS ACTUALLY has utility with that dank slinger
Love the video!! I'm so big about the details of how a video is done and the animations, gameplay breakdowns, and clean audio is solid! Can't wait to play with these builds, and thank you for making builds that aren't extremely focused on Jewels and decorations. that's the most frustrating thing is grinding those alone to try to make my builds perfect. You have a follower my friend 👍🏾
14 hours a day for 5 days of straight editing, not including the time it took for writing, voice over, audio editing or capturing all the footage. I'm just happy people are noticing the work put into it, it's appreciated.
I do put in effort to my videos as well, but I cannot imagine doing this for 14 hours daily. I commend you, my dude for being this dedicated to being a TH-camr!
Thank you for this video, i just started playing MH, and i´ve always been support player in games, but always tried to find ways to deal damage, and invencible healer is very good.
Haha, nah nah, the monster doesn't react based on the players direct imput like you explain in 2.20. The reason it moves that Vaal Hazzak is because it arbitrarily changes it's aggro around the hunting party, at that moment, it targeted the palico, it was far away so it decided to do the launch attack, leaving you and your SAED there. The AI is way more simple than you make it out to be. I tell you, you're overthinking things, the sharpening thing tho is true, it aggroes monster to sharpen. But the scream and the evasion of attacks is purely coincidencial. BTW hammer's strongest combo is(powered) R2 instarelease, Triangle, and then big bang combo.
I am trying not to comment on this but there is NO semblance of Aggro in this game. There is no way 2 hunters can be hitting a Monster to death and me running across the map to heal or sharpen my weapon draw more aggro that the 2 people bashing on the monster in close proximity. "aggro around the hunting party", 1000% bullshit. The monsters always attack the player with Lowest health. There is no AGGRO in this game. It appears to be that way if everyone is healed but go low health watch how you attract the monster like a magnet regardless of where you are on the map. You dont even need to be swinging a weapon. People are too busy fighting to stop and read the mechanics. Having been a gamer for way over 30 years mechanics like this are easily spotted. It's the one reason i can say i am not sure if i love monster hunter world.
You dont get attacked more if you're low on health, thats BS. It is random. I've played almost every MH since the first came out and its not that way... trust me: IT IS RANDOM!
My friend, i'm very happy with this vid. Altho i'm only lvl 14 (if i remember correct) the game is sometimes confusing for me. So much choices and adaption possibilities etc. Being a bit "older"player it's hard to remember all and to keep up haha. Im not sure how to aid my dps output when it comes to all those slots you can add gems to with each of their own powers. Youre voice is also good to listen to, esp (to me important) the speaking speed, as a not native speaking gamer that can be a problem. Thx again for the efford, greetings from the Netherlands !
Marcel this game is great but I find the game tutorials a bit lacking on information to say the least I play on Xbox myself I main a hammer just because my buddies won't lol
Sets that are useful and look dope. You sir.. you get it. The first set I put together after getting roared to death by a Deviljho was Val Hazak-Bazel mix. I called it my "never again" set
The elder dragons jumping around so damn much is why my prefered set for dealing with them is the crit draw GS build. Was good before, but now the buffed version is even stronger.
No. The monsters don’t read your button inputs. It’s based off of damage taken and time. Notice monsters only roar when; 1. They notice the hunter and the fight engages. 2. They enter an enraged state (after taking set damage or just a little time) 3. Another monster enters the area and initiates a turf war. Also, monsters do not intentionally move out of the way, that’s just a lunging attack, it’s not hard to understand. Now for more fair criticism. For support, I recommend you use Vangis greaves with a gobbler deco and a satiated deco for lv 3 speed eating and free meal. Use anything with lv 2 wide range (such as wiggler helm alpha, lunastra helmet gamma, commission jacket beta, etc) and a friendship charm for lv 5 wide range. Do whatever else is necessary for optimization from there on. Thank you
I have a support set that I made (WARNING! REQUIRES JEWELS); Luna helm beta Free lv 3 slot Jumping jewel Commission Jacket Beta Maintenance jewel Commission Vambraces Beta Footing Jewel Luna Coil Beta Footing Jewel x2 Vangis Greaves Beta Satiated jewel (I got rid of mine, silly me) Gobbler Jewel Skills: Stamina Cap Up (2 Luna pieces) Wide-Range 5 Tremor Resistance 3 Evade Extender 3 Speed Eating 3 Tool Specialist 3 (everyone likes booster-bros) Blindsider 1 (1 free lv3 slot and whatever else on your weapon)
Yeah. Playing this game and then coming back to the old games after a decently long hiatus. I found out that in 4U the basic AED is called SAED and the SAED in world is actually called UAED in 4U. So the trip from world to 4U was an interesting one. No I will not fuck off. Rifter you are correct, it’s called a SAED.
@@Ergeniz Elder dragon? Fuck outta here, weak ass. Did someone here just sneeze? Oh nvm, it's just kushala, or behemoth's Charybdis, who cares? Hey look, a lightbulb, nvm it's Teostra's super Nova. Gotta love this commission stuff, it makes me "Immune to any elemental attack".
SolgaleoGamer65 -8 but the thing is it wasn’t even related to the builds. It explicitly says in the title 3 good builds ( which really weren’t good they were garbage)
I just made Apex Predator set and incorporated 4 att jewels in this build. This set allowed me to solo tempered deviljho few minutes ago. Took me 18 minutes though. Thanks for showing me this build.
Sorry to break it to you, but these sets aren't even good. I will explain below. Attack boost beyond Level 4 is a complete waste, you are better off with maximum might/agitator/critical boost. No handicraft. Using a Level 3 Attack Charm = noob bait. If you know anything about min-max, Level 3 atk boost is 3 slots worth, whereas level 2 exploiter charm = 4 slots worth. Thus, it's better to use a lvl 2 exploiter with 3x atk boost, as that will give you an extra lvl 1 slot somewhere else. If I were to analyse your build now. Diablos Tyrannis = 2 Slots Rathalos Helm B = 2 + 2 Slots Dober Mail B = 2 + 3 Slots Death Stench Grip B = 4 + 2 Slots Nerg Coil B = 2 + 2 Slots Dodogama Greaves = 2 + 1 Slots Artillery Charm = 3 Slots Total : 2+4+5+6+4+3+3 = 25 Slots worth Try: Diablos Tyrannis = 2 Slots Eye Patch = 4 + 3 Slots Kushala Cista Beta = 4 + 2 Slots (Actually 6+2 since Handicraft is a level 3 over-priced gem, counting as it as 2) XenoJiva Gloves A = 3 + 2 + 1 Slots Nerg Coil B = 2 + 2 Slots Dodogama Greaves = 2 + 1 Slots Artillery Charm = 3 Slots Total: 2+7+6+6+4+3+3 = 31 Slots Worth You should get: Weakness Exploit 3 Handicraft 2 Attack Boost 4 Critical Boost 3 Artillery Level 3 Capacity Boost 1 Non-elemental Boost 1 Flinch Free 1 TDLR: Improved your build by 6 slots worth, removed focus as it is not needed for CB. Hope I enlightened you today.
Good build and very informative, but try to not sound as condescending when offering help, might turn people off from even reading/listening in the first place.
1 Level 2 slot add up to the same value of 2 Level 1 slots. Take for example lvl 1 agitator vs lvl 1 atk boost. I would only consider level 3 slots as not so useful because there aren't many lvl 3 gems you could use.
+T Richkid Thanks for telling in a nice way, I do realise now I sound very condescending. I was pretty annoyed yesterday when I was looking through all the youtube videos of people claiming their builds to be "Powerful", "Insane" "Best" "Godlike" to just turn out terrible, felt like nobody knows to evaluate their builds. Sorry I acted like that.
Putting the misinformation of the video aside, the "builds" in this video for damage are quite mediocre (the healer one is quite generic). Not a single mention of Weakness Exploit, by far one of the best skills in the game.
I'm relatively new to the game and I already know for a FACT that changes of boss animations are not based off of player damage output, if you're up its arse it'll readjust to attack you, not because you've been unloading for the past 3 straight minutes
I'm a bit of a beginner so I was really looking for something a bit more early game, out of all the armor sets he mentioned I didn't know a single one of the monsters.
You'll realize soon that everything early game is irrelevant and nobody builds on early stuff because the main mechanic for getting more powerful in this game is building new armor as you level. This means nothing early on is relevant for more than a handful of game hours at best. Tip Number 1. Don't hoard materials early on those materials will be irrelevant later so use them now to get an edge.
Awsome video! The production in this one is great. I had the idea for the quick sheath healer a while back. At first my buddies thought it was lame and instead I should focus on a damage build for quicker hunts... So I switched... until everybody started carting again. And honestly, you can still do solid damage anyways. Nobody cares if you have the highest hitting max dps charge blade loadout if you miss most of your amped elemental discharges.
Exactly my thoughts, who cares about numbers if people are getting carted and failing the hunt? Obviously it's a pretty useless skill set if you're running solo, but MHW is created from its core to be multi-player and I feel like having at least one healer in the group is invaluable over any high DPS. Also, yeah, with this loadout you can still do some serious damage while everyone's HP is topped off. Very powerful for the party as a whole.
KidAnime20 it's because healing the red portion is natural healing so it would make sense for recovery up to work. Regening the green bar isn't natural so to the game it's like drinking a potion which is why recovery up works because each little tick you heal counts as more, disguising it as healing faster
j Tk I know I was explaining why recovery speed doesn't help with vaal's armor set ability (super recovery). Healing while there isn't a red portion of the bar isn't natural so the game assumes you're using a potion, recovery up increases the amount potions heal. So you are healing more while regening
Great high rank support build: Wide range max, Recovery Up max, Mushroomancer max: Wiggler Head a Dober Mail a Dober Vambraces B Commission Belt a Rathian Greaves a Friendship Charm Lv3 1 Medicine Jewel (3 free level 1 slots.) This allows your team to benefit from your consumable items at 100% of the item's efficacy, increase the efficacy of healing items by 30%, and allow you to consume and share demondrugs, armorskins, mega potions, potions, dash juices, immunizers, and nutrients, with your team through mushrooms. 282 defense without armor improvements is pretty good too.
Like they said, give it a shot. This is my first time playing a Monster Hunter game (Breaking away from Call of Duty and sports games) and it’s a good game.
Thank you for this video as someone new to the franchise (since this is the first on Western console's ) I am soon to start this game on PS4. So a video like this is a huge help. Thank you for taking the time these quality videos take to shoot, script and edit and upload.
I think the new update made the damage from impact phials only increase from artillery, so experimenting with different elements is probably even better at this point. Builds will be way more interesting now at least.
@@vladizarth6926 If you press *R2* and *circle* at the same time ( on ps4), while a monster is attacking you, he'll dodge every attack and if you press *R2* after again, he'll counter that attack immediately and your sword will also charge up after that attack.
Heeey... Thank you. I appreciate that. I worked very hard on the video, I basically didn't move from my computer for 14 hours a day for 5 days. I'm happy the work doesn't go unnoticed!
I agree about what you said about the best builds being flexible and can be used with multiple weapons. With all the latest gear now that is super customizable and have a lot of good slots, I usually stack Attack boost 7, WEX 3, Crit boost 3, Max might 3 then depending on what weapon and what pieces left, you can either go for support, sustain or more offensive skills...
Dude this is a really solid video. Like this kind of thought needs to go towards every game that has a meta. Albeit the meta for MHW is very lax but still there. Anyways great video man.
As an added note on weapon attack opportunities - you also need to consider *where* in the strongest combos the damage is done. A weapon that has a nearly continuous burst of attacks (dual blades, hammer) can still do a lot of damage even if the monster moves early. A weapon where all or almost all the damage is done at the end doesn't have the same luxury.
This video has a few hundred comments about pointing out the misinformation and those builds being bad Yet, even after 10 months it's still up. What a great guy, who actually cares about his viewers...
Great setup for the video. However I must correct you that the Vaal Hazak Set Bonus is not affected by the Recovery Speed Skill, but rather by Recovery Up.
Thanks. I'm going to check it out. That doesn't make any sense with the skill's descriptions but you're not the first person to mention it. Also, thanks for the way you went about conveying the correction, so many people would be like "You're a LIAR and wrong, stupid" like I'm purposely out to lie to them or spread misinformation. I am not. So thanks for that.
Yeah it's was my assumption at first too, given that Vaal Hazak's armor grants you the Recovery Speed skill. I think the reason many people get so upset about incorrectly explained skills is MHW sheer popularity and the many content creators it had attracted who weren't into Monster Hunter before. This even went as far as one individual coming out on the Monster Hunter Subreddit to apologize for his badly informed videos that he advertised as "powerful". Back to your video - Really liked the Monster A.I. and move consideration bit at the beginning. Regarding the builds you proposed, you did not just shoehorn each build but actually provided branching routes for each set, depending on your jewels. Hoping that you'll do another one of these in the near future!
Focus is entirely unnecessary for CB, Artillery only effects impact phials, and the AI far more complex than mere input reading. Also where is the handicraft skill on your damage sets?
Gavin Erickson I don’t think Focus is ‘unnecessary’ for CB. Yes there are way better skills for CB’s (Handicraft, Artillery) but like slugger I think it’s a nice complimentary skill if you can slot/fit it in. :)
Chris O'Neill I didn't mention slugger because it also only effects impact phials as well, but I'm sure you know this. I say focus is pointless because one well timed charge attack will give you 5(6) phials. My cb set for the diablos tyrannis II has non elemental boost, Artillery 3, slugger 3, weakness exploit 2, handicraft 5, and attack 3.
Gavin Erickson I personally use Artillery 3, Focus 3, Speed Sharpening 3, Protective Polish, Non-Element Boost. I’m by no means a charge blade expert but I do like the QoL some of these have, and I have a few others builds that involves most of these skills, but I changed out a few and add more depending on which ones I want in there. Edit:My apologies, I forgot to mention I also use Handicraft unless I use something like Nergigante’s charge blade.
Gavin Erickson Yeah man, I just have protective polish along with speed sharpening because I get a good amount of time before that small amount of white that’s on my main charge blade (Diablos) goes out, so it’s a good luxury skill for it. I’m glad to see other CB users on here who know what they’re talking about though.
Monsters AI don't react to button input, they react your position. This issint like street fighter AI. How can you say things like that acting like you are sure of the AI's programming when you obviously don't.
The Iron Wall Guardlance. Guard+3, attack+7, Uragaan armor ability Guard+. Using the Guardlance with these extra abilities creates an Iron wall that can block any attack except for Beasulguies (dear lord the misspelling, sorry.) and his bomb droppings. (they tend to hit from the back or top) It's a highly flexible build that is perfect for people who are trying to get used to the game. The basic armor set even comes with Partbreaker for added fun. I used this setup in solo and found that I could take on literally every possible monster and win. Again, the flying bombing one is the only real exception. A lot of people underestimate exactly how much damage a lance can do. It doesn't have many flashy moves except for it's special counter attack but it's simple controls are deceptive. Using the lance in World is one of the best weapons for sticking with the monster since it's long reach and lunging attacks have high movement speed. Plus being one of only five weapons in the game that can block, two of which will put you at a disadvantage, it's easy to think that blocking puts you at a bigger risk than dodging. Typically, my monster hunts last around five minutes, even against elder dragons. That's largely due to the Lance's almost magical ability to hit any part of a monster, even in the air. Stacking critical boosts to this weapon setup with the proper gems will make it even more deadly. If nothing else, you should try running the numbers on it. It could make for a good video.
First few minutes are bs. 😂😂 I always get away when I sharpen my weapons next to the monster. Nd hitting them with strong attack/taking away a lot if damage will get them to rage quicker FYI. Try using a stronger weapon nd you'll Notice how quick they rage (: this guy is funny. Lol I couldn't finish the video but ya enjoy.
@@tommytukka7034 Just try to do it at the right moment. It's exactly like hunting, you should know and familiarize yourself with the monster's pattern/behavior and take advantage of it.
@@tommytukka7034 time is correctly. Reading the monster isnt as hard as people think. Try to familiarize with their moves and you can anticipate their next move. Usually, they stop for a second or 2 after they attack. Use that time to sharpen. Monsters dont attack you cause you are sharpening. They just need to hit you, thats all. Even if you arent sharpening, chancer are, they will still attack you.
@@tommytukka7034 you are sharpening at the wrong times, in part. I've literally sat under a monster and sharpened before, because I caught it at the right moment. Some weapons are more bothersome than others though. Just a day or two actually, I finally managed to solo an anjanath. Used double blades. I ended up in a position where I was fully clenched because I had no choice but to continue attacking, hope it would soon leave the area, and watch the sharpness bar very intensely. almost hit the red in that attempt to get some breathing space... double blades sap sharpness so very fast. think the gunlance might be quicker though, given how much sharpness you can lose in a single hit.
I really like the beginning of this vid. Not everyone really thinks about things like that and they are important things to consider. About the builds: First build: Imo any build going for damage should be using weakness exploit at max. That amount of crit for 3 points is ridiculous and is worth it even on a weapon like cb that generally isn't well suited to crit. I'd recommend using the dragonking eyepatch and teostra gloves beta to max it with this set. Of course if you have a weakness exploit jewel, you could use that and replace the gloves with something else. Second build: There is a bit of misinformation here. Recovery Speed DOES NOT affect the healing from Super Recovery. It only increases the rate at which you heal red health. However, the skill Recovery Up (Increases the amount restored when restoring health) DOES affect Super Recovery. So if you want the most healing from this set bonus, you should slot three medicine jewels (which aren't that hard to come by). Third build: I really wouldn't recommend the second version at all. If your intent is to be a healer/support, there's really no point in going out of your way to spend extra skills to accomplish what sns does without those extra skills unless you just REALLY despise using sns. Especially since your damage will be very subpar with no damage skills. Also, for the support build, you could just replace speed eating with mushroomancer and it would pretty much be all around better. Blue mushrooms heal like regular potions, but with the shorter animation and thus instant healing. Mandragoras heal like max potions and you can carry ten of them, thus you could have twelve max instant group heals (10 mushrooms + 2 regular max potions) which can also give your team +50 max health if they didn't already have it. Parashrooms and Nitroshrooms give the same effects as Demondrug and Armorskin, but with shorter animations. Not to mention it's far easier to just cultivate mushrooms instead of crafting potions/demondrugs/armorskins/etc.
Sorry guy, but I stopped looking at your video the moment I read your description and said the the long sword, sb and DB were the best top performing weapons.

Laudegrance Mondejar lol its like going up against a DS boss with no animation canceling
Pascal Simioli Okay, you're clearly butthurt because I said the monsters are predictable. Just saying what's true, you need to chill lol
The invincible healer is amazing, it’s the only set I run since putting it together after watching this video 🔥🔥🔥
He hearted the only positive comment lol
This video is trash half those set are not that good
This is correct. Sometimes monster roars even when not attacked.
The last part I just guessed on
AnAverageJho i know right I’m going threw the same shit
Objection. What you say at 2 min is not correct. Please verify before you put info out there that's not true
Hey quick question, do you think having higher attack, a few points of focus, or a few points of guard are more important for a charge blade build?
How about before saying it's incorrect and "not true", you provide some evidence to why you think they're not programed that way? Capcom has a long history with fighting games and input reading in combination with animation frames down to a scince dating back to the first Mega Man. Do you really think these things aren't taken into considetation during the balancing of monsters and development of a game?
Ooooohhhhh
TerraMantis You tellem Mantis don't let these other TH-camrs bully you into they way they think.
this is literally how ai works
its what makes it different from linear repeated animations
(2:00) Nah Monsters don't dodge attacks, you were just unlucky it decided to attack your cat. Since your cat is far away Vaal Hazak performed a jump attack which luckily dodged your amped element discharge. Also, when monster roar it’s only because that monster is leaving, going to rage mode or begin battle. You said they only stay in one place for few seconds then you should not use strong attacks. Strong attack animations are designed to last longer so monsters can punish you when you use it incorrectly.
Exactly
Just playigng the game I can already tell their not that advanced of an AI...monsters only tend to re-position them self when hunters are too close to them..so the monster can then use a different attack...
@@nathanglazier7460 lol, roars have nothing to really do with bagel juice.. they just naturally fly around and have really far eye sight.

I personally think people only realise they are being attacked when they are sharpening their weapon because that is the moments they always remember. All the moments you are at high risk you remember more because your more tense on trying not to die.
Monster ai is programmed to detect when you sharpen your blade or your weapon type
Nah man. They know.
I feel like they hit you with a powerful attack when you use potions or go for the vigorwasp
"The reason they do this is simple: they're designed and programmed that way"
It's not just speculation though. He's stating his speculations as fact.

Bruh.... You nailed this vid. Hella detailed. You should have zero dislikes.
I would like to mention that as far as I know Super Recovery does not stack with Recovery Speed but DOES stack with Recovery Up
Recovery Speed only affects the red portion of your health and once that portion is fully healed Super Recovery kicks in and Recovery Up is the skill that will buff it, if you've got the materials for it you can also put some Health Regen on your weapon leading to you getting good use out of that Peak Performance

Another option for the first set can be obtained swapping the Dober mail with the Bazel mail beta. So you gain 2 point in Guard, and have two slots lv 1 instead of one lv 2. Of course this build requires a ton of jewels. This is what I use:
Tyrannis II

Bazel mail b (guard 2 + two guard jwls)
Death stench grup b (focus 2 + one atk and one guard jwls)
Nergigante coil b (atk 2 + non elemental jwl)

Here are some of the jewels I main for this 'Jack of all Trades' build;
- Sharp Jewel
- Footing Jewel
- Dragonseal Jewel
- Mighty Jewel
- Grinder Jewel
- Sheath Jewel
- Friendship Jewel
- Gobbler Jewel
- Satiated Jewel
- Critical Jewel
- Mighty Bow Jewel
- Recovery Jewel
- Destroyer Jewel
This helps me by giving me a primer for how to mix and match pieces of armor.
Honestly, one of the most detailed descriptions of builds yet. Cheers.
I know you're in here somewhere, Pat.
He's researching so he can say the exact opposite during the next WoolieHunter video
GO OOOOONNNN lol great GG animation nice Prof pic
I don’t get it!

Two best friends play Monster Hunter
(monsterhunterworld.wiki)
-Team Dark side's TH-cam channel for meta gaming.
Brody Baddis you're stupid? The monster know what you're gonna do cause it's an ai get off your high horse this guy is pretty spot on
If you have ever played any of the other Monster Hunter games, you'd would know that this is incorrect.
Hands down the best build video I have seen so far. People may not like the builds them selfs but how this is laid out is perfect.
>Focus on a Charge Blade
>Monsters react to your inputs
Whew lad, this is your first monster hunter , isnt it?
Focus is extremely important for CB speedrunning in world. Same with capacity boost. New game, new meta.

it is, and Im surprised he ever uploaded this video because he is a well known as one of the dark souls youtuber
Blackyonbi Kage Just saying focus IS actually godly for speed runners because you output like 30% more SAEDs than usual, but for casual playing it’s useless
My god. With this one in depth video you have won my sub and I’m part of the notification squad. Amazing.
I really loved the Invincible Hunter build, but the Commision Jacket requires all optional quests to be completed, so it's impossible to do as an intro build. Inspired by your build, I worked out this:
Head: Jagras Helm Alpha (Speed Eating 2)
Chest: Rathian Mail Beta (Botanist 1, Recovery Up 1, 1 Decoration Slot)
Arms: Tzitzi Vambraces Beta (Stun Resistance 2, 1 Decoration Slot)
Waist: Tzitzi Coil Alpha (Wide-Range 2, Water Attack 1)
Legs: Rathian Greaves Alpha (Recovery Up 2)
Charm: Friendship III (Wide-Range 3)
This ends up with Wide-Range 5/5, Speed Eating 2/3, Recovery Up 3/3, Stun Resistance 2/3, Water Attack 1/5, and Botanist 1/4.
I only started the game this week
Man this is an incredible video, props. I love that invincible healer build since i play with 2 other friends. Thank you for including a support class, not many people do that. This is just awesome!
I hope you realize that this video is extremely outdated and that there exists FAR better builds.
Production value: 10/10
Build Value: 2/10
"invincible healer" without a hunting horn. I'm not surprised, but I agree the builds aren't remotely good
The Black Baron The HH isn't really a healing build weapon though.
Thanks for taking the time to put this video together, great information @terramantis
"powerful builds"
3 minutes in and hes still discussing AI.
i know you gotta get 10:01 but stretch out the actual sets.
Do this, this and this. Done.
I'm pressing like for the immense amount of editing this video has, holy cow.
Being old doesn't make you right lol
You dont get attacked more if you're low on health, thats BS. It is random. I've played almost every MH since the first came out and its not that way... trust me: IT IS RANDOM!
Oh my goodness, seriously nice work. it's rare I see a build video with such depth and insight. Loved the work you put into the video/builds.
If you are on PS3, feel free to add me for hunts. We old players should stick together!

Sets that are useful and look dope. You sir.. you get it. The first set I put together after getting roared to death by a Deviljho was Val Hazak-Bazel mix. I called it my "never again" set
so...full of fluff and no real tips.
gg waste of time

It was a short list on 3 builds and some info, not a tips video, so you are the one who wasted your own time
He's saying that everything this dude, terramantis, is talking bullshit, and he is since he's wrong about pretty much everything
The elder dragons jumping around so damn much is why my prefered set for dealing with them is the crit draw GS build. Was good before, but now the buffed version is even stronger.
No. The monsters don’t read your button inputs. It’s based off of damage taken and time.
Notice monsters only roar when;
1. They notice the hunter and the fight engages.
2. They enter an enraged state (after taking set damage or just a little time)
Thank you
I have a support set that I made (WARNING! REQUIRES JEWELS);
Luna helm beta
Free lv 3 slot
Jumping jewel
Commission Jacket Beta
Maintenance jewel
Commission Vambraces Beta
Footing Jewel
Luna Coil Beta
Footing Jewel x2
Vangis Greaves Beta
Satiated jewel (I got rid of mine, silly me)
Gobbler Jewel
Skills:
Stamina Cap Up (2 Luna pieces)
Wide-Range 5
Tremor Resistance 3
Evade Extender 3
Speed Eating 3
Tool Specialist 3 (everyone likes booster-bros)
Blindsider 1
(1 free lv3 slot and whatever else on your weapon)
Free meal, almost forgot
Free meal is a must have. Never leave home without it.
Here we go! Top notch education on timing and monster animations and A.I.
Awesome!
Actually the charge blade move is called SUPER amped elemental discharge or SAED in short
Fuck off
Fuck off
MH4U and MHGU Hunters are used to saying Ultra.
Sweet editing with the sound cues. Good job!
Mushroomancer and wide range is a very powerful combination that's fairly easy to get.
The commission armor has it by default.
It’s the best!!! If you have the necklace, pig head and the dobro greaves, you can basically be immune to any blight attack or elemental attack

I just made Apex Predator set and incorporated 4 att jewels in this build. This set allowed me to solo tempered deviljho few minutes ago. Took me 18 minutes though. Thanks for showing me this build.
Wow... how the hell do you have 4 att jewels? RNG must really be in your favor.
TerraMantis endless grinding and melding. Haha
Diablos Tyrannis = 2 Slots
Rathalos Helm B = 2 + 2 Slots
Dober Mail B = 2 + 3 Slots
Death Stench Grip B = 4 + 2 Slots
Nerg Coil B = 2 + 2 Slots
Dodogama Greaves = 2 + 1 Slots
Artillery Charm = 3 Slots
Total : 2+4+5+6+4+3+3 = 25 Slots worth
Try:
Diablos Tyrannis = 2 Slots
Eye Patch = 4 + 3 Slots
Kushala Cista Beta = 4 + 2 Slots (Actually 6+2 since Handicraft is a level 3 over-priced gem, counting as it as 2)
XenoJiva Gloves A = 3 + 2 + 1 Slots
Nerg Coil B = 2 + 2 Slots
Dodogama Greaves = 2 + 1 Slots
Artillery Charm = 3 Slots
Total: 2+7+6+6+4+3+3 = 31 Slots Worth
You should get:
Weakness Exploit 3
Handicraft 2
Attack Boost 4
Critical Boost 3
Artillery Level 3
Capacity Boost 1
Non-elemental Boost 1
Flinch Free 1
TDLR: Improved your build by 6 slots worth, removed focus as it is not needed for CB. Hope I enlightened you today.
Lvl 2 slots are not 2 slots in quantity. It's just 1 lvl 2 slot.
KaiDestinyz that just makes it bad math.
One of the Best guides i have seen on YT. Keep going. 👍
This your powerful build. My respects. But you had a lot wrong info about the monsters. Read the comments pls. Enjoy monster hunter world.
Super Recovery is effected by Recovery Up. Recovery Speed only applies if there is a red portion to heal.
Enjoy Low Rank, you’ll feel so powerful there 😂😭😂😭
Awsome video!
3 Minutes into the video and I'm already reaching for my Tinfoil hat.
Dude I was not expecting such a quality video. Don't know how i got here but SUBBED!
Recovery speed only effects red bar not the green with super recovery. You need the medicine skill for super recovery to be boosted
Seriously? That does not make sense, given their effects...
KidAnime20 it's because healing the red portion is natural healing so it would make sense for recovery up to work. Regening the green bar isn't natural so to the game it's like drinking a potion which is why recovery up works because each little tick you heal counts as more, disguising it as healing faster
Ah, okay. Thanks for the heads-up.
thats why you have val hazaks armor buff, which heals past red portion, so super recovery recovers even black part.
j Tk I know I was explaining why recovery speed doesn't help with vaal's armor set ability (super recovery). Healing while there isn't a red portion of the bar isn't natural so the game assumes you're using a potion, recovery up increases the amount potions heal. So you are healing more while regening
Great high rank support build: Wide range max, Recovery Up max, Mushroomancer max:
Wiggler Head a
Dober Mail a
Dober Vambraces B
Commission Belt a
Rathian Greaves a
Friendship Charm Lv3
1 Medicine Jewel
(3 free level 1 slots.)
This allows your team to benefit from your consumable items at 100% of the item's efficacy, increase the efficacy of healing items by 30%, and allow you to consume and share demondrugs, armorskins, mega potions, potions, dash juices, immunizers, and nutrients, with your team through mushrooms. 282 defense without armor improvements is pretty good too.

holy shit...RIP
I think the new update made the damage from impact phials only increase from artillery, so experimenting with different elements is probably even better at this point. Builds will be way more interesting now at least.
Amiee Ann true but capacity and artillery is the butter and bread for cb.
Nice video I like that you gave the “weapon spot” to be open to the player, instead of “you have to use this weapon.”
Good video. Much different builds than the rest i have seen so far on youtube. well done well thought out..

I just want to say this is some high ass quality of production for a build video. I like how you show the in game ui art
Heeey... Thank you. I appreciate that. I worked very hard on the video, I basically didn't move from my computer for 14 hours a day for 5 days. I'm happy the work doesn't go unnoticed!
@TerraMantis what video editing program did you use and also was there anything special you had to do to the get the MHW art for the ability names?
the builds are good but there's really no point in the unneccesary long ass explanation at the beginning when the video is about armor builds...
“They’re never in one place too long” damn, dont have a clip of when I fought nergigante and he stood still for about a min
Dude this is a really solid video. Like this kind of thought needs to go towards every game that has a meta. Albeit the meta for MHW is very lax but still there. Anyways great video man.
Well, you use dps to count greatsword's damage is kind of stupid.... Really, stop using DPS to count greatsword damage.....
So many inaccuracies in this video. 12:00 your teammates won't get the benefit of speed eating through wide range
I’m glad I’m not the only one who named my hunter Girthquake
Chris O'Neill On mine you could swap out slugger 3 for 2 and protective polish, but it doesn't matter too much.
Playing this game very late and trying my best now to search for good builds, thank you for this amazing ones.
(they tend to hit from the back or top)
It's a highly flexible build that is perfect for people who are trying to get used to the game.
Lol I couldn't finish the video but ya enjoy.
strange as I always get attacked when sharpening even when I move away from the fight so guess it's not BS at all.
@@tommytukka7034 it is bs
About the builds:
First build: Imo any build going for damage should be using weakness exploit at max.
Omar Gonzalez exactly! Obviously, he is basing this vid strictly on the weapons he only knows how to play the weapons he posted in the video
