hi, I've been watching your channel practically from the very beginning. I love your videos full of detailed information about your projects. I really like your naturalness, simplicity and truthfulness of what you talk about. I always look forward to the next episode. I am happy with you about your success of 10 thousand subscribers.
I'm so glad you found a solution to the width of your Yell cardigan, it looks so lovely already I can't help but admire the pattern and colors whenever you hold it up to the camera. Looking forward to seeing the finished item!
The resource raglan e book is WILDLY detailed in fit and modifications! Like it is literally overwhelming all of the different things you can do to alter the patterns. I really feel that I never have to buy a raglan pattern again.
I must have missed it. What ebook are you referencing? I’d be very interested in getting this for my knitting library. Thanks for any help you can give me.
My goodness, your Yell cardigan is so impressive! What a labor of love. I’m sure you’ll figure out a way to use that piece for your sleeve. You’re creative and where there’s a will, there’s a way!
Thank you so much for your fab, informative podcasts, always so much fun and so very informative, always look forward to seeing your projects, thank you 🙏
Your Yell cardigan project is so inspiring! I appreciate how collaborative you’ve made the problem solving process. I’ve yet to dip my toes into true Fair Isle, the climate where I live doesn’t call for them, but it would be a Mountain Everest project for sure. Thank you for the fresh voice you bring to the knitting community.
I'm finding such inspiration in your determination to make things work for you. Your Marie Wallin colourwork is so beautiful but I love all of your projects and yarn choices at the moment. Thanks for another great episode ❤
I especially enjoyed this episode, Vanissia. The sweater you are wearing is so pretty on you. On camera, you look like a spring to me and this sweater is quite flattering. I thought the Yell looked way too big and would not have known how to fix it as you seem to have. It is so incredibly beautiful. It seems like you are reluctant to use any of your stash for the Sari scarf. I feel that way sometimes. I'm all for using up stash but if I try too hard, I am usually disappointed. For me, I try to use each yarn for the "perfect" project", which may be why I have so much stash!!! Thanks for your podcast.
For the shawl stick with your first choice. Trust your gut feeling. Thank you for chatting about all your knits, really enjoy watching your episodes. Greetings from Melbourne.
So so glad you got your Yell Cardigan on the right track!! I love watching your podcast, I always learn so much. I thought the only way for you to go was frog. Love the online knitting community for always knowledge sharing. Also, the purple Cardiff for your Maggie is such a beautiful color on you. In regards to the rowing out, I feel you. I spent like a month trying to figure out how to correct my rowing out and came up blank. Using different needle sizes didn’t work out somehow. I think for me, 2 ply yarn exacerbates the issue, so going forward I won’t use that that yarn, hold it with a lace weight, or only knit it on smaller needles. Using bamboo needles (Seeknits) and following a random tutorial I found on TH-cam (essentially how to change your knits and purls to be more consistent) made the biggest difference in my fixing my tension. For the shawl color conundrum, I’m no help. I feel you on not wanting to use your favorite color combination without knowing the other patterns. Though I do think that suri and Alpaca 2 will look beautiful in the Poet motif. But for some reason, I’m really seeing the poet in some sort of sage or minty green on you. I agree the purple yarn you have would be better for cables and that the last yarn may be too variegated.
I’ve enjoyed all your videos and am in awe of your knitting skills. I love that you want to keep learning new things and look forward to seeing the finished Yell - it’s beautiful.😊
10k!! Chuffed to bits for you, Vanissia. I have watched you from the very beginning, and your success is so well deserved. Every time I see your Yell cardigan, I am more convinced that I need to cast one on x
Wow, your Mary Wallin Cardigan is such a beauty!! So smart how you solved the problem with it being to big! I love the tee your wearing, the color suits you very well
Your Sassy V looks wonderful - what a colour! And the Yell is working up so well. For the scarf I’d be intrigued to see how the last combination - the browns - looked. Thanks for a delightful podcast.
Wonderful chat, always nice to watch and listen to your videos while knitting or doing house work, you have such a relaxing voice and pace! The Yale cardigan looks amazing! Congratulations on 10 000 subscribers!
I really like the second option for the poet scarf! I think the light shades would look gorgeous in this pattern! And congratulations on this big achievement ❤❤
Vanissia I love your videos. I love how detailed you are in sharing your projects. I look forward to seeingwhat you are working on or completed every time I see a new video in my subscription box.
I love the idea of maybe reusing your cut-away part of the Yell cardigan as a sleeve. I know nothing about steeking, but I would worry if there'd be enough space to seem it though, if you say it fits exactly with the number of stitches you'd want for the circumference of the sleeve. But I wish you all the luck doing it, I'll cross my fingers that you can get it to work!
I love your Yell cardigan! I feel it will fit better and you will be happier with the size now! I vote for the Turkish delight held double. I think it will make a nicer spring/summer colour shawl.
That’s brilliant the way you were able to modify your Yell cardigan without any ripping. So glad you found a good solution! I bet you can find a way to use the extra piece as a part of the sleeve.
Today I am exactly looking at the 10.000! It is amazing. I looked ervery of your podcasts from germany. Thank you a lot for the detailted informations on every project and your deep thoughts. 😍
I love all the modifications you're making to the Yell cardigan, so clever! And you've definitely inspired me to cast on a Blouse no. 1 soon! Thanks for another great podcast 😊
That sweater is so beautiful, I will get that pattern, interesting about bust shaping, very feminine, and the A shaping. It's very romantic looking too.
Hi Vanissia! This is my first comment here, but I just wanted to chip in into the Yell topic 😊 I think the idea of repurposing the extra knitting for the sleeve is pure genius and I think it's absolutely feasible. With some good seaming you won't even be able to tell it was steeked in the first place! And also, the fact that it's the perfect width and stitch count is something not to look over, in cases like this I think it's a sign from the universe 😂
Your knits are beautiful and I appreciate all your thoughts that go in to altering your knits to make them uniquely your own! Congrats on reaching 10K!
Hello Vanissia. Thank you for another great podcast. In particular thank you for the heads up about the Sari Nordlund Poet scarf. What a fun knit, engaging but not too challenging. I think that knitting shawls and wearing them are two different and unrelated hobbies!
I've been waiting to see how your Slightly Sassy V turned out- looks amazing and happy to hear 2 skeins was enough! I feel just the same way you do about wanting to buy as few (amazing) hand dyed skeins as possible to make garments, so I love your ideas and video series on them. Thank you and look fwd to the next one!
Your videos are always so nice to watch and so informative. Always do what feels right and there will always be people that don’t agree! So stick to what you love and enjoy and the people that love you and your podcasts will stay 🤗🤗🤗
Just a random thought: if using the bound off stitches for your sleeves doesn't work out, I'm thinking you can make an incredibly cute pouch with it (with the colourwork being vertical, as opposed to horizontal). I don't know if you would like that, but I´m sure the yarn would be really great for it, as it´s such sturdy fabric. Another great video! I really like how in depth you are about your work and how mindful you knit. It´s really inspiring! I´m eager to make more colourwork from Marie Wallin now too. The Yell cardigan wouldn´t suit me I´m afraid, but I´m thinking about using the border for a more simple cardigan that would go past my hips. I´m not sure if it´s cute that way, but in my head it has potential to be!
Ooh, the second option for the Poet Scarf is my absolute favorite. It's so soft and romantic I think it goes perfectly with the lace motif. I totally get the caveat of "but what if I want to use the yarn for something else?", it happens to me all the time. But I say go for it! You could always get more yarn later that looks similar (-: Thank you for the great video! I really enjoy your attention to detail and the projects you choose.
I like the idea of the one skein neck scarf to keep the reason you loved the skein in the yarn store. Will be fun to see you knit them up to see the representation of the colors (if the stay pretty true to the skeined up yarn). Keep up the innovative ideas!
Congratulations on 10k, that’s a good reflection on how great your podcast is. I love all the details and thought that goes into your projects. I look forward to a glimpse of your knits every time I tune in.
I know you're worried about talking too much about your projects but the detailed explanations of the steeking to shrink your oversized sweater is so interesting! I hate knitting flat so I think I'm probably going to steek my first cardigan, I've read about it, but I don't see that technique used all that often in non-colorwork designs, it seems like it was more popular in previous decades.
Well done on 10K, that's not easy but reflects how much work you put in! Love your Yell cardigan, I've always been intrigued by those Fair Isle patterns but slightly intimidated. Definitely a heirloom piece!
For the summer scarf - I think you should use the one you really love for that particular project! There will always be more yarn, and it's great to enjoy it now rather than save it for later. Thank you for making the effort to provide such great quality videos so often!
Hi Vanissia, That's wonderful you got the Yell cardigan problem resolved without having to frog back. It's looking great. The color you chose for the Maggie cardigan is gorgeous. I too bought the Cardiff cashmere when they had a sale last month. I will knit mine in the bordeaux color.
Love how your Yell cardigan looks. I like Marie Wallin’s designs but not yet be brave enough to tackle one. Think I will do what you did and start with one of her cowls. Enjoy your detailed videos about your knits.

thanks ! :D
Wow, I'm amazed about everything around your Yell cardigan! So much sticking and "surgery" to make it perfect. Respect! 😊
thanks :D
For the shawl: stick with your first choice! One should always follow his/her/their instinct! 😊 love your channel as always!
very true! and thanks :D
My goodness, your Yell cardigan is so impressive! What a labor of love. I’m sure you’ll figure out a way to use that piece for your sleeve. You’re creative and where there’s a will, there’s a way!
I hope so!
I love the purple for the poet scarf because it feels like a dramatic color for a scarf called "the poet." :)

My vote for the shawl would definitely be the cherry blossom 🌸 looking forward to seeing it in future podcasts ❤

I really think you suit blue! Re the shawl - I would advise that you follow your heart and opt for the cherry blossom ❤
thank you! Will do!

Thank you so much!
Thanks for yet another informative and fun video - I am always amazed at how much you manage to complete. Congratulations.
Thank you!
Congratulations on 10,000 followers, I think the second colour would be great for the scarf, it's a very nice summery colour.
Thank you! 😊
Another enjoyable podcast!! I especially enjoyed your discussion about your Yell Cardigan and am impressed with your progress and colorwork skill!
Thank you so much! definitely enjoyed going over it and summarising !
I agree a small scarf is a great project for summer
isnt it!
Great podcast. I am so looking forward to seeing the finished Yell Cardigan!
thank you :D me too aha

I love the Pigment & Ply yarn with the darker merino for your scarf
it's so special!
Love your podcast!! Your sassy V neck is beautiful! I’m looking forward to seeing your finished Yell Cardigan.
Thank you so much! Hope to have it done by autumn !
Thank you for your lovely videos. I am inspired by your beautiful knits ❤
Thank you so much!
Love the slightly sassy v! I haven’t seen this pattern before but I think I need one!
i cant recommend it enough!
Ooh, the second option for the Poet Scarf is my absolute favorite. It's so soft and romantic I think it goes perfectly with the lace motif. I'm so happy that you found such a good solution for the yell cardigan! It would have been so sad to frog all this work
exactly !
Congratulations on reaching 10,000 subscribers. Always enjoy your informative and creative podcasts.
thanks !
I vote for the Turkish Delight held double for the Sari Nordlund KAL! such a nice color and would look great with your other summer palette colors :)
ended up doing this for the turtle dove shawl !
I love your color palette, it's right up my alley! And I think one of the lighter colors for the mini scarf would look so cute :)
I think so too!
Congratulations on 10k, that’s a good reflection on how great your podcast is. I love all the details and thought that goes into your projects. I look forward to a glimpse of your knits every time I tune in.
aw thanks, that's very kind !
I know you're worried about talking too much about your projects but the detailed explanations of the steeking to shrink your oversized sweater is so interesting! I hate knitting flat so I think I'm probably going to steek my first cardigan, I've read about it, but I don't see that technique used all that often in non-colorwork designs, it seems like it was more popular in previous decades.
yes, definitely rarer, but have seen people do it more and more, maybe watch knotenkopp latest vid, where she does exactly that !
I love your new sweater - the color and the fit.
thank you !
Cannot begin to express how much I enjoy spending time with you. THANKS for sharing your knitting journey;].
I'm so glad! that's very sweet of you!
Lovely podcast as usual!! Love the fix for the cardigan.
thanks :D
What a fab solution for your yell cardigan. I never would have thought to do that. Hope all your hard work pays off xx
thank you!!
The color of your new sweater looks great on you!
thank you, i love it!
Well done on 10K, that's not easy but reflects how much work you put in! Love your Yell cardigan, I've always been intrigued by those Fair Isle patterns but slightly intimidated. Definitely a heirloom piece!
thank you! and you could always try a hat first !
Your blue knits suit you so so well!
thanks :D
For the summer scarf - I think you should use the one you really love for that particular project! There will always be more yarn, and it's great to enjoy it now rather than save it for later. Thank you for making the effort to provide such great quality videos so often!
very true! and thank you so much for saying :D
Hi Vanissia,
That's wonderful you got the Yell cardigan problem resolved without having to frog back. It's looking great. The color you chose for the Maggie cardigan is gorgeous. I too bought the Cardiff cashmere when they had a sale last month. I will knit mine in the bordeaux color.
still trying to finish this maggie cardigan aha ! bordeau is so elegant !
Hi😘 Love the steek you made on the Yell - and yes, use the left over for the arm, just sew up the steek💪💪
thanks!
@@thewoollyworker steeks are so much easier than people think ❤️
Your Marie Wallin looks so good. Making me want to knit color work
You can do it!
Bonjour du Quebec 👋J’adore tes podcast. Love the patterns you are showing !
merci beaucoup!
Love how your Yell cardigan looks. I like Marie Wallin’s designs but not yet be brave enough to tackle one. Think I will do what you did and start with one of her cowls. Enjoy your detailed videos about your knits.
yes, that's my number one recommendation !! so fun
I love the yarn colors that you are choosing! ❤
thank you, it's been great, lately !
This light blue colour (KFO) is stunning on you!
thank you! love it
