I've come across anything from chairs to mattresses in the middle of the freeway. Once a set of cables destroyed the front of my car. People just don't give a damn about securing stuff in their vehicles. The police should catch these people with cameras to set an example.
I've had a mattress drop off a truck just as my husband had a feeling to move to next lane ut actually happen twice it scary there was a lady who died recently this Summer from a rock or tire on the freeway it's so sad
I agree. I see people all the time doing this, it's always the same demographic too. They need to learn to secure their things so they don't harm anyone, but like you said, most of these people don't give a damn who they hurt.
What a heart sickening tragedy. I pray for the recovery of these individuals that selflessly put themselves in harm's way to rescue US when we need them.
I see all sorts of junk on highways in OC and LA counties. Mattresses, ladders, dryers, mini-refrigerators, plywood, etc. Dunno what the law says, but failing to secure stuff on vehicles should be a crime
How devastating! Praying for these folks, that every one of them eventually makes a full recovery. Best wishes to all the firefighters out there right now, and their families.
Hi CALFIRE person. Just wanted you to know you are a hero and thank you for what you do every day. Sending you much love and prayers for your safety, and a speedy recovery to your brothers in OC..❤❤
Never swerve to avoid an obstacle, slam on the brakes, if it's an animal tall enough to go over your hood, hit the gas, do not brake unless you want it to go through the windshield and impale you. Never swerve to avoid an animal, most the times they make it past the car, and if you avoid it, you might die while the thing runs off. I've called in probably 3 ladders in my lifetime, a fridge and few other objects, call CHP and report object and people with loose object on their trucks.
Oh,,, no no no no no! I pray that the angels are with all of them. Please dear God send healing. These are the best of the best. Dear dear people, pray for them! 🙏🏻✝️
That's horrible news to hear. My family loves the fire depts across orange county, the best people you'll ever meet. We will be praying for them. I get so irritated when I see so many trucks carrying things unsecured, I see it all the time with landscapers/maintenance men in Santa Ana, everyday there's another truck with tons of stuff unsecured.
They probably fell out of a truck that was transporting someone's furniture when they were moving. It happened to me when my father used his truck to help me move many years ago. My father was driving in front of me with many of my possessions in the back of his truck, including a living room chair. The chair fell out of the truck and landed on the road. My father didn't notice and keep going, even though I blared my horn. I must have been too far behind him for him to hear the horn.
Everyone else ran over the ladder, this guy decides to wipe out the truck and crew! By the time this is over maybee 10 to 20 million in tax payer law suits diasability claims.
I hate to say it, but I’ve traveled that many times. Unfortunately, it was probably the typical 🇲🇽’s roofer didn’t tie the ladder down correctly caused the accident. lol

Freedom is scary deal with it.
Just got home after being diverted off 241 @ Portola. Best wishes for those injured and their families.
I pray that every firefighter and anyone else who got injured in this a speedy recovery! thank you firefighters for what yall do!

Not to be cranky or anything but the 241 is not a freeway. It's a toll road.
Thoughts and prayers for the injured firefighters, co-workers, family & friends.
Prayers for a full healing for all🙏

Prayers for all involved ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
you can use traffic cams and see who lost that ladder, a road hazard that leads to serious injuries can lead to serious charges
How serious to see how this really plays out in these current times and policies 🤔
😂!
Lawyers will argue it was not the ladder. If they drove over the ladder and it flipped the 23,000 pound truck, different story.
How devastating! Praying for these folks, that every one of them eventually makes a full recovery. Best wishes to all the firefighters out there right now, and their families.
This is heartbreaking
Wow that’s terrifying
Dear Jesus, please pray for everyone to be safe and tgeir coworkers and their friends and family ❤❤❤❤

Praying for these injured firefighters that they be completely healed in body, mind and spirit.
Who left their ladder on the road? They should be held accountable
Nope. It fell off some vehicle and owner might not know.
The firetruck lost his chassis
I'm Calfire. I am completely speechless.

Do you mean Cal Fire?

Why would they swerve?
@@maxsmith695 video said truck ahead swerved, and fire truck did the same right after to avoid the ladder
@@OD99C 3 reports said a car swerved. But assume it is true. Why not drive over it? And why were the occupants not belted in.
Oh no! Prayers for all these precious, priceless firefighters.. 🙏
Terrible accident. Prayers for all the victims, hope they all make complete recoveries. 🙏🙏🙏
look at the distance from where that ladder is to where that firetruck ended up
What is the speed limit?
What a tragedy! Why wasn't the ladder cleared faster from the road? Hoping the firefighters will be okay.
That’s why I really don’t like to drive
Try and get photos of trucks going through the cameras they will find them…
I'm pretty sure there are cameras at the sensors/toll booths right? That would be great if so.
Prayers for all
Oh God please save them, they have been working so hard to protect residents from the fire 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I was wondering what all those sirens were for. I hope everybody's okay
What kind of idiots lose a ladder from their vehicle?
Omg that’s horrible man hope everyone is ok
Never swerve, Never for CDL drivers

i once a saw a drawer from a dresser on a freeway. Ive even seen a wooden chair on the carpool lane like how?

How you roll over a fire truck. Rookie.
Not funny dude.

A good drug test to eliminate personal responsibility! But I know firemen and police officers don't take drugs 😂!
either you are a terrible, heartless person, or a troll...which is it?
I think it would be a captain who was driving the crew. At least a 8 year veteran, not a rookie.
