This is the coolest thing Ive ever seen. A manufacture installation video to the public, so stinking awesome! I wish more companies would produce videos like this because I'm such a visual learner. Thank you for posting this!
Why does this video not show that you have to cut the drivers side lower control arm bracket? Is that something that came about later? Just curious why this one does not mention it and the Aug 2013 video shows that it has to be cut.
After installing a 7.5 inch lift kit from y’all on my 07 1500 suburban . My transfer case is giving me a metal scraping sound when the front drive shaft is attached . Replaced drive shaft and front diff thinking that was the issue but narrowed it down to the transfer case . Which was fine before the lift and had plenty of oil in the transfer case . Wondering if I needed a spacer or something for the front drive shaft
@@alexklein455 the shock extends longer than the length of the spring; under a lot of articulation, the rear springs just.... fall out. Like to replace the coil you don’t have to disconnect the shock or anything. You just jack the frame off the ground and the rear will say enough to pull the springs out... not a good thing when you’re rock crawling. I don’t want to use limit straps because I don’t want to limit it’s ability to travel.. that defeats the purpose of building the truck. But I do need to keep the coils in place, and this should’ve been part of the initial design. I even bought 2” spacers to help close the gap but it still isn’t enough. I’ve been getting into more high speed stuff and I just can’t do anything with the truck because every time I get any air the springs literally just fall out.
How does the abs sensors fit on the lifted knuckles do i need to drill holes for them ?? If i bought the lifted rear shocks do i need to use the shock extender for the back?
Do I need to get bigger upper control arms? I bought new ones but they are OEM and they are adjusted out as far as possible and still will not push out the camber anymore. So my tires lean in at the top. I appreciate any help. 2008 Tahoe 2wd
Update * I went with fabteech uni ball upper and was able to get enough adjustment to make it right that way. I’m really not impressed with this lift and kinda wish I never bought the truck. Can’t keep sway bar links on it they are breaking left and right. Rebuilt the whole front end and it’s still not perfect. Weird pops and groans, the rear axle isn’t even centered. I wish I would have got a stock tahoe and went a different route.
I recently added a 7.5 in rough country lift to my 07 suburban. Now my truck has wandering issues. Changed out everything in the front and still swerving not swaying big differences. Any suggestions???
Danny Garcia Get it aligned at a 4 wheel parts if you have one near you. Or somewhere where they align large lifted over sized tire vehicles all the time. Dont expect an everyday mom n pop shop to align it correctly. Computers usually wont do the trick anymore after you get a lift.
Not sure if you still need info, but when based on this, it looks like it's not affected. You re-use the same shocks and they are bolted to the relocation bracket at the bottom. So there's no change to the top part of the shock or the travel length. Theoretically, you can use the air ride shocks with this kit. But I am just random internet dude with a driveway and a wrench, so take that as it is.
Yup, jus need to do some minor rewiring to extend the suspension height sensor on the strut. The wire harness won’t allow you to reconnect the sensor with the strut spacer
+Darren Kampstra This kit requires the 18 or larger wheels due to the lifted knuckle. The 17 obviously will not work. You would either have to go with larger wheels or a smaller kit that does not have a lifted knuckle.
Yes the suspension travel increases with this kit that is why you get the crossmembers and added accessories. You gain ground clearance and ride height.
@@kingjamison3568used the 3.5in kit for a avalanche in my ext and everything bolted up, just have to delete rear airshocks and deal with light on the dash
Rough Country , ok so why the lack of lift kits out there for the awd? CV shafts too pricey and or the auto ride a problem? I got the 6.2 and found after i got it, not many lift kits are available. Awd is ok, I'm using it to tow a jeep so hard core 4 wheel not necessary. Guess a leveling kit and body lift for me then. What's up with the Escalade getting lift kits though? Denali the same right?
This will work same as it did on my Escalade you just have to buy rough country’s dual cardone front drive shaft. They have it labeled under the Denali truck. As for auto ride you just have to extend the front sensors and extend the wires on the shock plug so that it will run through the strut spacer to still plug in. As for the rear sensor you just have to move it up the tract bar till it’s back at its original height. Hope this helps.

Do I have to drill a hole on the lower control arm for the sway bar links
Where can I get torque specs for all these bolts for reassembly

Excellent. Now how do I get the rear coils to stop popping out? And what do you suggest to stop shredding CV’s every two weeks?

Would I have any tire rubbing problems running 35x12.5x20"x9" factory rims with the 7.5 lift on a 08 GMC 1500.
Yes you would. As noted on the site you have to run aftermarket offset wheels on that kit due to the lifted knuckles that are included in the kit.

Nice video bro 👍 ....question how many piece is in total?
I’m concerned that it’ll mess my front end up if I get a 7.5
This kit is designed to maintain geometry at optimal angles as well as ride quality.
Are there any instances where the drive shaft would have to be replaced?
No. This kit retains the stock shafts and axles.
Does cutting the bump stop off the frame create potential for the frame bending?
Absolutely not. That is not a concern whatsoever when trimming that piece off or we wouldn't recommend doing that.
Just helps it ride better most off the time when stock your uppers are hitting that and riding a groove into it making your car ride bad
