Very cool video. And for all those haters about rust, go get 1/16" inch of body metal plate and start forming it for your rig and weld it in and then paint it yourself. Otherwise be quiet.
I have new 35X12.5/17's in the shed and this NTD kit is in transit. New Detroit axle upper and lower control arms with tie rod ends as a kit are waiting as well as a set of new wheel hubs. It's all going into my 2001 Yukon XL this summer once I get a long weekend without the wife around to bother/harass me while I install it all!! By this fall when hunting season starts It will be ready for some Colorado mountain roads and Kansas mud.
We didnt have any issues with the kit itself, just need to remember that with older vehicles you may come across that you need to replace other worn out suspension components while youre in there! Check out this kit here! www.customwheeloffset.com/store/4105/rough-country-6-gm-ntd-suspension-lift-kit?year=2000&make=GMC&model=Yukon&drive=4WD
I also have an 03 Yukon Denali. Have you found anything? I need at least an inch the front. Can't find any kits for the denali model due to air suspension and AWD.
I hate it! I moved up north with not a spec of rust on my suburban...a year later my truck started rusting. 2 years later I have a hole in my bumper because it rusted through! I hate the north! lol.
Hey guys first off I love the channel!! I’m looking for this exact lift for my Tahoe that I’ve been mildly building. How’s the ride on this kind of lift? Any major flaws I should be worried about?
I got a 2000 chevy tahoe I got on the site to look at the same lift but it says it doesn't fit fit but fit the suburban in the same year and drivetrain I don't think there is a difference in the truck. Would it still fit my tahoe if I bought it

Let me answer that for you since custom offsets has no idea what they sell. They make a 4.5 inch kit for these trucks , I know bds does. Not sure if rough ride country does tho.
How do you have that much room between. I have done everything. Replaced every piece under the truck to get it lifted away from the bump stops. But actually sits right on them and no matter what I do they are still on the bump stops. 03 tahoe 4x4. 24x14.50x 33 tires. 6 inch rough country lift
Not much to it take the leveling sensor arms off located on the upper control arms in front and put resenators to bypass the autoride light as for the rear disconnect the air compressor and two lines on the two rear shocks remove them and thats it you are ready to add a lift
@@brandonevans4142 if your suburban or tahoe yukon or XL all the same is a 2000 or 2006 even newer all have air compressors to level out rear with the front in case you have a heavier load rear shocks have air bags so they need some type of compressor to air the air shocks unless your vehicle is different just never heard of it ?
nice video, but I was actually hoping to see you installing the Lift, cause I wanted to see how difficult/Eze it is to install it

Did you not install the bump stop extension and why not if you didn’t

No it would not, we recommend getting kits specifically made for the vehicle
I have not been able to find one suggestions?

What size tires are on the Yukon in the video?
Can I make this a 4.5 lift or is 6 the lowest it will go?

20x12 DWG Offroad DW13 wheels and 285/50r20 Atturo Trail Blades
So did you remove the bump stops for a reason ?
They were pretty structurally rusty and it makes for a smoother ride for the most part without them on.
