Black Footed Soul - Original Song by Dave Merritt and Greg Thompson

Dave Merritt wrote a poem called Black Footed Soul, which continues to garner many interpretations. I included the words, so you can make your own assessment. I grabbed the slightly twisted fable and fashioned this song. With the wonderful talents of Bryan Haynes on bass and Burke Swiger on lead guitar, we had the opportunity to play the song (and many others) at the Hearts & Horses Volunteer Appreciation Party on April 16, 2023. It was a blast, and we were grateful for the chance.
