Thank you for the video, a bit late to the party, does anyone know the preper torque for those 7/8" bolts? I found 98 lbs/ft as the OEM recommendation for the tow hitch, but NYTOP's website states to torque all bolts to 148 lbs/ft. Can anyone enlighten me with the right spec? Thank you!

The rear recovery brackets appear well coated against rust but if you chip the paint it would be susceptible to rust. Is this true since it’s made out of steel?

Correct, anything that is steel and does not have a protective coating on it will start to rust.

Ok, I like the rear having two recovery points, But the front should also have matching recovery points on both sides, I have had situations where the passenger side or the drivers side was not accessible and the other would need to be used, only having one is short sited...

NYTOP also manufactures two front recovery points, but units are rated for 9000lb working load.

Does the rear step need to be removed with these brackets?

The rear step does not need to be removed 👍

Thank god, because it’s a life saver for my knees and back.
So how will it not have to be removed when you install it, because the step uses two of the exact same bolts, and that recovery point isn’t angled the same as the step bracket, I don’t get it?

@@19ADAM80just tried installing the amp research bed step to my rear nytop recovery bracket on my taco and it does not bolt up. The bracket doesn’t allow to have a flush fit for the 2 bolts to line up correctly. I am not sure if the oem bed step bracket is that much more different from the amp research one.

I would have liked to see some blue loctite on all the non nylok fasteners.

Our shop vehicles are strictly for content purposes. Showing people different products and how to install them. But please explain how it is ruined now.

This is the right way to have a good recovery point.

Please elaborate. This looks like a pretty robust recovery point.
