This was real great. I'm starting to use mercari and didn't really know much on shipping, but this video literally explained everything I need to know. Great video!!!
I’m an experience Mercari seller. Few tips: 1. Get free empty boxes from Walmart or the dollar tree store for small boxes 2. Tape your Mercari label completely so it doesn’t get rip out. 3. Use old news paper or shoppers to support you package inside. 4. Get bubble paper. In your job storeroom there are a bunch of discard bubble paper. Get them. 5. Do your best to fit the item is the smaller box available without putting pressure on the item of course 6. Always print out your thank you letter and include an invitation to follow your store 7. Print 20 copies and have them available all the time in your packing closet. 8. Always provide discount in bunddles. Your buyers don’t need to pay multiples shipping if they are buying more than one item in your store.
Just a tip-it’s best to print off a second shipping label and drop it in the bottom of the box with the item. That way, if the shipping label you put on top goes missing, they have another one inside to go off of (yes, they will open the box if the shipping label is gone!).
Lazy Cow I haven’t done this in years so I’m not sure how it is nowadays but you should be able to go to the website of whatever shipping company you’re using and make one there. For example, just search the company plus “shipping label” and you should be able to go from there

Mary Eurich Hello you need a label printer , label printer 4xL ..it's a thermal printer , you can order from Amazon , you need that and an email ,And the label comes out of your thermal printer ! 👍🙂

Hey I recently found out priority usps boxes can’t be used with first class labels. It has worked for me in the past, but it’s not correct and hasn’t worked for many. And I’m not positive what determines priority vs first class labels.
Only problem is mercari pays for first class shipping and your using priority boxes they are different. Hasn't your stuff been returned or worse customers pay for extra shipping
when I shipped this (a couple years ago), I never had any issues, but you're absolutely right priority boxes shouldn't be used with first class shipping. Multiple people have told me it didn't work for them, and I'm glad they have because I wouldn't have known since it worked for me, so thank you!

No need to buy stamps. Shipping payment is handled in the app and included in the price before the transaction is complete, whether the buyer or seller is paying for it. I hope that made sense.

You can use a regular brown box, but I do believe you will need to print the use the shipping label given, so that Mercari app can track your package.

your package has to be 1lb or more for priority labels

Nope you won't have to pay to have it shipped, you just need to get the box and to attach the shipping label. It will show that it's prepaid.
