Selling My Feeder Cattle

It's time for them to go. Last week I took my feeder cattle to the sale barn. I had to get them up out of them pen and into the barn pen. From there its into the alleyway so they can be loaded onto trucks. We used our new loadout for cattle. We haven't been able to load out or get any cattle in since the fire.

Would love if you did an overview video of what you buy the cattle for, what age, feeding process and cost, how long you keep them for and price/weight you sell them for. Plus maybe an overview of the rest of your farm, like what you plant and such. Thanks.

Thanks. They could’ve done better. I think if I would’ve gone to a different sale barn they would’ve done 3-5 cents better.

That was the plan. I usually just buy light calves in the fall and sell in the spring.

I could’ve just didn’t plan on it. Feeder market was decent and corn is too expensive right now to be fattening cattle.
