When I think of Klein screwdrivers I also think of the Klein 32557 (heavy-duty) and 32596 (hvac). But, those feel kind of obsolete now since you can customize the new impact 11-in-1 to have magnetic nut drivers or whatever bits you need. I don’t have that one yet, but it’s definitely top of my list to try next.
Yeah I have the HVAC and that 1/4 & 5/16 but I prefer a cleanable Malco in the 11-1. I never bought the heavy duty, but I know several people that run that one.
Your #1 is also my favorite. I often carry it with either the flip socket top end, a malco, or the makita 1/4 socket set. It works great with all of these. Add an m12 surge, some 180mm knipex, and it takes care of many of the things I run into in commercial facilities service work. Love that tool!
I’ve always liked 11-1’s. The bit holding type is nice because you can change bits a little easier, but they don’t tend to hold up as well. To me the impact 11-1 gives you more options than ever before. It’s by far the best 11-1 ever in my opinion
I don’t use them that often to label myself an expert… I keep trying to find the ratcheting screwdriver that’s going to convert me. I would definitely say the 11-1 Impact is #1 because it’s the same screwdriver, but ratcheting. It also works with some of Kleins KNECT kits. #2 would be to get the Hollow Nut Drivers with the ratchet handle. They are good Nut Drivers.. but the handle can basically make a ratcheting screwdriver of any think you have with a 1/4” shaft. #3 I would go with the 13-1 Impact. The bits are more versatile than the 15-1 and the handle is slimmer #4 would be the 15-1.. it had double ended bits that are only usable in that screwdriver. The least versatile of the bunch. Those are all I have, and that’s just my opinion. I might make a video one day showing all that, but just in case you go buying before I do.
That’s one I never picked up. I actually never used stubbies that much until being able to use them as a little bit longer screwdriver like these. Now that I like the Ball Grip, they have been my Go To 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance I’ve been thinking about the vessels to try what you’re talking about, but I’m most fond of the versatility the multi bit + socket drivers have to offer. Is there a vessel that can compare?
@@Bought4aPrice not really. I don’t know of any multi drivers they have anyways. If they do, they must not be ball handles because I believe I’ve searched all those out.
Im a brewer and responsible for maintenance on all the equipment in the brewery and my top screwdriver is a long philips with the screw holder on it. Something i rarely needed as an electrician and appliance tech is something that is my most used driver because 99 percent of screws are stainless
I have a Southwire version of what you are talking about… it does make it nice for certain things. That’s why everyone’s is different, we all do different things. Thanks for sharing 👍
I'm not inclined to argue with your list at all; I have three or four of those, and just now ordered the 27-in-1 precision model. A Klein I have that I might really need some time is their insulated multi; I have just the one blade, but I could see needing that one in cases where a non-insulated wouldn't do. I did cite you today ("Joey Morgan, PhD") as well as Curtis (HVAC Guy), in reference to discovering Veto bags this year; I really like mine; still waiting on the bonus SB-LD and DP3.
“In-Kleined” 😂 I have the same one as you on insulated and like it. I will probably buy the extra blades as some point for the SQ1 and SQ2 blade. I’m still waiting on my SB-LD too 👍
I have been picking some of the multi ones to retool a go-to bag, I sometimes forget I have them and start digging for a regular screwdriver, then remember that I have one with all the bits or sockets. Lol I've gone years just using individual screwdrivers, so a bit of a re-learn with muscle memory to grab a multi-bit instead.
I’m the same. I actually prefer regular screwdrivers in a pouch if I’m going to be switching a bunch on a certain job. I find it faster to just switch screwdrivers than move bits around. As a space saver, they are hard to beat 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance That's a good point too, I carry regular screwdrivers for things I wouldn't want to use multi bit for. Prying, hammer smacking and when having to swap between different ones.
Yeah, I keep trying them because everyone else loves them so much. I either forget it does it, or the tension on the screw is not enough to make it engage and work. Just not my cup of tea.
The ratcheting 11 in 1 impact rated driver along with the 1/4” knect pass through set is the most usable set I’ve ever owned. It’s literally almost a perfect setup if they would just make a pass through metric set.
They can become addictive and expensive 😂… but also extremely helpful. Knowing what tools/materials are available to get the job done is a big part of the process to fix things
I love my 14 in 1 and my 13 in 1 ratcheting i keep them both in my toughbuilt pouch with my M12 impact so everything works together nicley. I love having the free spinning cap on the back to just hold my hand againt and spin the screwdriver. I have an 11 in one impact ratcheting and I honestly cant say i grab it as much as the other two.
I’ve used the 11-1 style for so long, I think it just feels more normal for me than swapping bits in/out of a carousel. They all are very useful though 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance and to me swapping the different bits is easier than flipping all the different options on an 11 in 1 but that's how I've always done it.
@@ruddyff 👍… we tend to grab what we are used to. I always try to still use new stuff so I don’t get stuck using something when there is something better… but it is hard to pull away from something that works for you. But if it works, it works. That’s why I always say, someone’s favorite tool is someone’s least favorite.. and vise versa.
I do a wide variety of tech services in the automotive shops and I prefer a fixed screwdriver over many multi screwdrivers. BUT the 32619 is my favorite! Number 1 for me!
I prefer fixed screwdrivers in a pouch if I’m doing specific work switching between several fasteners. Definitely faster for me to just swap screwdrivers than moving bits around. I typically put multi bits in my bags for service jobs that I’m unsure what I will need. It’s a great handle. The blades you can get for it are good, but a magnetic bit holder with the right shaft is a nice add too 👍
My number one would probably be the 7-1 nut driver as that was one of my first klein screwdrivers. However, I recently upgraded to the 20-1 "super screwdriver. Klein reuses that same carousel system with their multi bit screwdrivers, making this particular failure point considerably large. Also, with these multibit screwdrivers, I've heard a few people complain about the plastic holders inside the carousel breaking, essentially rendering it useless. I would've thought they would have reinforced these pieces. I recently bought a Wera insulated multi bit screwdriver, and instead of pulling the cap off, it has spring clips you press in, and the whole carousel jolts out the back. The bits slide in and out easy, and I still think you have the spinning cap on the back to help with loosening and tightening.
Yeah, Klein does need to up their game on their bit holding. For the price they are a good bang for the buck, but you aren’t buying something that will last forever for sure. I would rather pay $10-$15 more per screwdriver and they use more metal, better plastic, or whatever is needed to make them better. Like I said, for the price they are good, but they could be better 👍
My Lowe’s had them on clearance for $14 not too long ago, some people said they were getting them for $6. They often show up regular price on the shelf, but ring up cheaper.
The impact 11 in 1 is especially useful for 6 in 1 klein tap bits it's nice to have a serviceable screwdriver along with taps safely in the handle not getting chipped. They had a previous tap version but slimmer smaller and more useful impact version (thanks to that center adapter) has made the old version almost useless besides the tap bit.
I use the Impact 11-1 to set up for all sorts of specific jobs… just use the handle and the center to be creative. Not everything is flippable, but there is quite a bit that is.
Yea I took an 11 in 1 impact and did ecx 1and 2 with klein 3.5in made in USA bits once but didn't much care for the slop in it so it was a failed experiment...
Nice video. Klein is on a tear right now, everything is getting more and more modular, and importantly, modular using 1/4" hex as the base. You can combine a bunch of their things now and build the perfect screw/nut driver for your needs, and it isn't all necessarily proprietary thanks to a lot of 1/4" hex. It's a great system so far and I'm interested in more Klein stuff than ever before
They have been doing some great things over the last few years. Their quality on their screwdrivers may not be the “same” as they once was, but they are adding a lot of moving parts on them for functions. That makes them more prone for problems, especially keeping them at an affordable price point. But their multi function screwdrivers have solved a lot of storage issues in bags for sure 👍
If your like me and grew up on klein screwdrivers. It's nice to see all the things they are doing. Their handles are still my favorite. Just wish they would tighten up there quality control.
@@darrenbrooks7645 yeah, I agree. I feel like some of the things they produce could probably be a little better for just a few more dollars. I’ll pay more for better materials, but maybe the masses won’t.
I was wondering, do you happen to know if an adjustable length replacement blade from Klein (4”-8” double ended screwdriver blade) would fit into the handle of the 32303HD (20-in-1)? I had an idea for a minimalistic kit and I can’t seem to find that answer anywhere. Thanks in advance if you have a chance to check!
@@BlackoutTribal it goes into the 20-1, but since those blades don’t have the notches or the detent like a normal 1/4” bit it never catches anywhere. So it will always just slide in/out
You’ve convinced me to toss my Wera multi screwdriver into my car and switch to the Klein 11-1 for my home shop. The Wera does a lot of what the Klein does but I haven’t really warmed to the handle. Try as I may, I don’t find it comfortable. Loving that Lowe’s is selling Klein now so I had put the tools on my hand. And my last name is Klein (no relation) but I always feel like these tools have been personalized. Speaking of video ideas, do you have a go to brand of work gloves?
I normally wear the Cut level one type gloves just for general use. Typically I wear the Milwaukee Ones because i like them, but mainly I catch them on sale and buy a bunch of them. I have also tried and like the Maxiflex www.amazon.com/dp/B075D31Q8R/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_GJ6E920N2GMX8N2B4Z10?linkCode=ml2&tag=jmorg198002-20 I may even like them better than the Milwaukee, but they cost a little more than the Milwaukee ones on sale. I occasionally wear demo gloves, leather gloves, etc… but these type typically work for me for about anything, and I can still feel what I am doing. There isn’t really much I do in this style glove that makes jobs frustrating. That’s cool that all your tools are automatically personalized👍
I’ve somehow stuck the socket in the stem of the driver (small metal filing magnetized to head). Is there a secret to easily remove the socket with damaging the tool?
I’m really looking forward to the impact stubby coming out like the impact 11-1. Im going to get that for my stubby. Then it will work with everything else. I’m probably going to cut the bottom on my ratcheting impact 11-1 too to make it a full past through with the Knect stuff
@@MORGANSMaintenance I have the 1/4 32 peace, 65300 and the ratcheting impact 11-1. They go really good together. @@dougbrown7150 I don’t have a kitchen drawer with tools, it’s just a saying in my area for the place you put tools in the house because that used to be where everyone kept them. I have a tool bag… but it is in a kitchen cabinet 😂
My take is a little different. I try to not use a manual screwdriver every chance I get. My first goto is some type of battery screwdriver or impact. My next in order is the Hazet 810-R4. Best ratchet screwdriver I have ever used. Last is a manual driver. I have one Klein in my bag and that's the 7in1 for the sockets. I have the Vessel ball grips in the bag too. I also have the Vessel battery bit holder with the Vessel bit kit in my bag.
I use other things besides these first as well in certain applications. All tools have their certain place. I use impacts/installation drivers when I can, but certain tasks have to be done (or should be done) by hand.. or at least something with clutch settings, limits torque, etc. The battery screwdrivers are good for that. Certain times space for an impact to fit is the limiting factor, although they keep getting smaller to fit in about any space. Appreciate you sharing your thought 👍👍
#6 is by far my favorite because it locks with no play! Though not used much anymore because of other brands taking over out of any klein screwdriver I that pile it will always have a place for me. Like in last videos the 27 in 1 precision is only ok.... the bit retention in the handle will loosen up over time and you dump all thoes bits on the floor. It's a jester of all trades master of none but it has almost everything in one package. I was sad they discontinued #6 and no new advances of other blades for it (both the handle and blades were made in USA no global materials). I would have about died if they made a blade for it that was comb 1/2 aka ecx and it would still be in my bag daily.
Couldn’t agree more on #6 and the ECX. That’s why I couldn’t have the list without it, its handle was the first one that I started getting creative with making my own screwdrivers. I assume that will happen on the 27-1, but I don’t change/use those precision bits as often… hopefully mine will last some time. The handle size and the “all in one” package makes it super nice for a main bag. I will still probably use 4-1 on service bags.
Yea don't drop the 27 on 1 open it's 52 pickup.... I don't use mine much but the quality of the newer handle bit holders are not heirloom. I just have to accept once a year or 2 $20 to keep all thoes precision bits at hand is what it is. We do what we can for space if I was a heavy thermostat tweeker I'd be using my pb swiss or wera daily.
Yeah, I actually prefer dedicated screwdrivers in a pouch while working. I can usually switch screwdrivers faster than switching bits around also. That and like you said Bit holding screwdrivers or bit holders in your impact don’t always work out.
You can get a Metric flip socket from Vaco amzn.to/3vqx1OM It works on the adjustable length screwdrivers… but that’s as far as I can get you. For the ratcheting adjustable length you are on your own 😂
I'm a little younger than you but since I was taught by old electricians and they only used Klein so that was all I knew. But times have changed. The second one you showed NOT on the top 6 is my next one.
👍👍.. it’s a good all in one screwdriver, did you get the one with the flip socket (hvac) or the magnetic bit holder? I had an issue with my bit holder on it, but it was after a while of using it pretty regularly. I think they have changed the bit holder on some newer models though.
@@MORGANSMaintenance I know just messing with you. Klein are knocking out some good stuff thick and fast at my the moment but they do don't seem interested in marketing the rest of the world with metric stuff for some reason 😞
😂.. they make good Multi bit screwdrivers (for the price) There are better made screwdrivers out there, but they cost double or more. I don’t view screwdrivers the same as pliers. Pliers can last you a lifetime, screwdriver bits wear out no matter how much they cost.
@@MORGANSMaintenance i found it! Amazon has a kit at 35€ that includes the stubby 8 in 1 and the electronic screwdriver! I dont understand the price difference but i buy it now!!
Not to be too tool snobby but the ratcheting pb swiss stubby is so much more comfortable than that klein. I know it's 4x the price but it's som uch more round and vessel like with bit storage. PB 8453 R-30 and for Morgan's sake the racheting mechanism locks up super tight almost no precivable slop.
I just recently had the stubby as a ball grip epiphany.. it will cause me to look into other options now. I think the shaft going into the handle on the Klein helps stabilize it some. Some of the stubbies that just hold bits if you put something longer in them it has a lot of slop sometimes.
Always options that's why I comment it may or may not help but at least it may of helped someone do something or enjoy there tools more. Like you once the world of Japanese vessel anex and other screwdrivers opened up and importable you can't close that door!

I agree with your 1 and 2 for sure.
I use the stubby and impact rated all the time
I just recently started using the stubby more. I missed out on it for some time.
This was perfect timing as I'm listing the Klien screwdrivers I want. Can you do a video of the ratcheting Kliens please?
I don’t use them that often to label myself an expert… I keep trying to find the ratcheting screwdriver that’s going to convert me.
I would definitely say the 11-1 Impact is #1 because it’s the same screwdriver, but ratcheting. It also works with some of Kleins KNECT kits.
#2 would be to get the Hollow Nut Drivers with the ratchet handle. They are good Nut Drivers.. but the handle can basically make a ratcheting screwdriver of any think you have with a 1/4” shaft.
#3 I would go with the 13-1 Impact. The bits are more versatile than the 15-1 and the handle is slimmer
#4 would be the 15-1.. it had double ended bits that are only usable in that screwdriver. The least versatile of the bunch.
Those are all I have, and that’s just my opinion. I might make a video one day showing all that, but just in case you go buying before I do.
Thanks for sharing!
Just FYI, Klein sells a double-ended ECX bit for the 11-in-1. I've replaced my Torx bit with it.
👍👍.. I picked one up as well. I need to get some more, hard to remember which screwdriver I put it in 😂
I really appreciate the stubby 11in1 as well. Would say it’s my top, but I mostly interact with standard fasteners myself 🤷♂️
“In-Kleined” 😂
I have the same one as you on insulated and like it.
Hey Joe! How about a top 5 tools for a brand? Say like Klein, Dewalt, Milwaukee etc. Would love to see it!
@@pablorodriguez4530 👍👍.. good idea, appreciate it
Love Klein , the plain old #2 Phillips helped put my kids through college.
I also hate ratchet screwdrivers.
Yeah, I keep trying them because everyone else loves them so much.
I either forget it does it, or the tension on the screw is not enough to make it engage and work. Just not my cup of tea.
I don't hate them. I just never use them.
@@cb2000a that’s me. I never even think about turning the knob 😂
When I saw all those Klein screwdrivers , I thought , he's in my garage It doesn't matter which order , they're all good ... Thx
I’m sure I have more if I go looking around. They are probably my most given away screwdriver of all time too 😂
The ratcheting 11 in 1 impact rated driver along with the 1/4” knect pass through set is the most usable set I’ve ever owned. It’s literally almost a perfect setup if they would just make a pass through metric set.
I just recently picked up the pass through set. It does make an already great screwdriver even more useable
To many options for me I like it all 👌🏾
That’s why you just buy them all 😂
On year 7 of my maintenance career and recently found enjoying tool videos and load outs, such joy
@@MORGANSMaintenance Yeah, even thin metal would bend or warp instead of snapping.
Great review. 11 in 1 magnetic is my favorite. Gonna have to check out the 12 in 1 stubby. It does allot in a small package.
My Lowe’s had them on clearance for $14 not too long ago, some people said they were getting them for $6.
They often show up regular price on the shelf, but ring up cheaper.
@@MORGANSMaintenance thanks for the heads up. Have to check at my Lowe’s.
great job
Appreciate it 👍👍
The impact 11 in 1 is especially useful for 6 in 1 klein tap bits it's nice to have a serviceable screwdriver along with taps safely in the handle not getting chipped.
So it will always just slide in/out
@@MORGANSMaintenance Thank you! You just saved me like $60 bucks! Lol

I have also tried and like the Maxiflex
www.amazon.com/dp/B075D31Q8R/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_GJ6E920N2GMX8N2B4Z10?linkCode=ml2&tag=jmorg198002-20
I may even like them better than the Milwaukee, but they cost a little more than the Milwaukee ones on sale.

Yes, I received it. Thanks
Have any of yall had issues with the Klein flip sockets being loose on the hex shaft after any amount of use? Maybe i received one that was built on a monday or a friday.
Not that they just slide around. They will move, but not like what I think you are saying.
@@MORGANSMaintenance yeah I it's only one of the sockets I have used regularly. It will slide from the top of the shaft all the way to the bottom. I was just wondering if anyone else had that issue.

I wish we could get the adjustable ratcheting handle without paying for the nutdriver set.
@@keithw3208 yeah I’m surprised they aren’t selling that with just a bit holder or something too
#6 is by far my favorite because it locks with no play!
Is that a Klein screwdriver handle thermous
Yes it is… I believe it was a promo item one year. I got mine off eBay
While bit drivers are nice there inevitably comes a time to need a slender shank and that blade driver saves so much room in the bag.
Yeah, I actually prefer dedicated screwdrivers in a pouch while working. I can usually switch screwdrivers faster than switching bits around also.
That and like you said Bit holding screwdrivers or bit holders in your impact don’t always work out.
I need a ratcheting one that also has variable length, and if they made one with metric nut drivers even better.
You can get a Metric flip socket from Vaco amzn.to/3vqx1OM
It works on the adjustable length screwdrivers… but that’s as far as I can get you. For the ratcheting adjustable length you are on your own 😂
