@@MORGANSMaintenance Jokes aside, the video is very good - after watching it I know everything about the tool I will never buy :) I just realised the only exchangeable screwdriver I have is Wera and I don't have any ratcheting ones. That shows my need for screwdrivers. But I have 3 cordless impact drivers, 3 cordless light-duty drill-drivers, 1 cordless heavy-duty hammering drill-driver, 1 cordless heavy-duty drill, 1 corded light-duty drill-drivers, 2 corded heavy-duty drills (non-stationary ones). I bought and use it, but I use it more in the locked position than ratcheting. The only real advantage to this one is if you buy the newer KNect sets that work with it. They only fit in the ratcheting version
I stood in the store for an hour, debating on what to buy. After watching this, I want to go try the Ratcheting driver but I walked out with the standard 11 in 1. Nice info. My question is, how much slop do you have in the handle? Does the teeth grind any? How smooth function is it after some heavy use?
It’s not the best ratcheting screwdrivers in the world… but for the price it’s pretty good. I’m not a big ratcheting screwdriver person so mine hasn’t got extreme heavy use (as a ratcheting) since I’ve picked it up. I don’t use a ratcheting screwdriver enough that most of the time I forget it’s even an option and I leave it in the locked position... too much muscle memory in my old brain of a regular screwdriver motion. 😂. The amount I have used it, it has worked fine. I also have so many screwdrivers, I swap around a lot. Hopefully some others can help you out with a better heavy use scenario that use a ratcheting style 100% One thing to keep in mind is that I believe the KNECT 1/4” set I believe only works with the ratcheting. I could be wrong on that, but I think that is true. So if you are thinking about getting that in the future, that may be a part of the decision.
Bought the 11 in 1 rcht and I absolutely love it. I swapped out the whole 5/16” side for a Malco stubby 1/4” 5/16” flip bit for HVAC use. I kept the 3/8” bit but replaced the bit holder with my old HVAC 8in1 bit holder (PH2, Slotted, thermostat driver and schrader) It is now an essential part of my EDC.

Wish I would have looked harder because the one you showed would be perfect for me. I usually keep the ratcheting locked but I find it a great feature when space is limited

Looks like the handle has a wire clip inside that locks onto the grooves in the centre of the 1/2" hexagon drive to keep it in position. I usually end up using my other hand to change the ratchet direction on the handle so the ratchet position doesn't affect me the same.
It’s a friction fit for sure. Maybe Klein is moving more in that direction instead of the ball bearings. That’s probably the more effective way to use a ratcheting screwdriver… my muscle memory just won’t let me do it 😂

The new one they made like that because their new impact pass through socket set you can actually fit the sockets in the end of the screwdriver handle and make a pass through ratcheting nut driver
@MORGANSMaintenance other brands have them such as husky gearwrench etc. And they are hit and miss I mean it's a specialty tool not something you would use all the time unless you wanted to it would beat having to have shallow and deep well sockets but unfortunately klein is known for electrical tools however if they expanded into a full blown 1/4 3/8 1/2 impact rated set of pass through sockets I'm sure they would make a killing

It’s at Riley Knife and Tool… I have a video here with links in the description Klein Tools Screwdriver Holster from Riley Knife & Tool - Fits your favorite EDC? #tools #klein

The ratcheting one goes with the pass through wrench kit . The extension fits in the 12 point screwdriver handle and makes a long shank nut driver .
Yeah I’ve seen that. I haven’t decided if I’m getting it yet. It’s a little pricey for the sizes you get… but who am I kidding, I’m sure I’ll get it 😂
Appreciate it 👍👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance I got the set yesterday haven’t used it yet but it’s easier to carry than all the different nut drivers so I figure it’s a win .
@sykotictendencies6032 true… anytime I can find ways to loose handles in my main bag is a win.
My Lowe’s still isn’t carrying it yet, I’ve been waiting till I can just go in and get it.
Fwiw, both versions of the 11-in-1 were available in my usual Home Depot (Knoxville, TN) this weekend, 05/25/2024.
👍👍

I will have to look up exactly what the website is but I believe it’s Rileyknifeandtool.com
Good Spot ; hope it shows up here in Kanuckastan soon !
👍👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance I checked my Local Home Depot , they had never heard of it , hopefully I stirred up some interest !
The new one they made like that because their new impact pass through socket set you can actually fit the sockets in the end of the screwdriver handle and make a pass through ratcheting nut driver
👍👍
Yeah I’ve had a few people mention those to me. I may pick up a set of those
Appreciate it
@MORGANSMaintenance other brands have them such as husky gearwrench etc.
That screwdriver also fits the pass thru 1/4 inch socket set.
I’ve seen that… not at my Lowe’s yet, but I’ve seen a few videos.
Thanks for the heads up 👍
My Lowe’s had a ton of them
@@bigdaddy4975 mine does have a slot for them at least now. I just looked today… but they are out
@@MORGANSMaintenance Amazon with just these two tools you can do 95 % of all jobs
Lowes is the only place I can find this, but when I go to place the order it says item removed from your cart. But it's still in my cart. I tried this today, and I tried it a few days ago and the same thing! Anyone know where I can waste my dang $ already!?
Lowes is the only place it’s available for now… I’m not sure what’s going on with your cart
Found it Riley knifes n tools 👍🏼
👍
Klein killing me with their new screwdriver models. They’ve been churning them out pretty fast.
I know… it’s like a new one every week.
I got one and I love this due to the new socket set works with cause of the new design so I bought both and it’s a life saver
@@adubcollectibles3201 👍
bit holders are great for different sizes of the same type of screws, otherwise 11-1 is elite
@@wyattbreymeyer4033 yeah 11-1’s are my go to bag screwdriver. Get a lot done and only takes up one slot. My pouches I set up per job and run dedicated since I know what fasteners I’m getting into
Nice tool. Now we need metric version. Regards from Europe 😅
As many people that have requested it, you would think someone would make it. 👍
excellent, they learned from Vessel
I definitely like the placement of it better… more likely to use it than just leave it in the fixed position 👍
👍
Thank You 👍👍
So close to perfect they need to make it all magnetic so i dont need the single bit and make the nut driver like there multi nut driver so they hold the nuts lol
They have you sell as many prototypes as possible before they give you the tool you will never replace 😂
I have the one with orange tips and I do commercial work and didn’t last that much not recommend it if you do commercial
@@gerardotorres7904 that one the 13-1… or do they make the 11-1 ratcheting with orange bits now?
They Made it to work with and fit there new line Klein KNECT coming out. i.e. Klein Tools 32-Piece Standard (SAE) 1/4-in Drive 6-point Set Deep Socket Set

Someone mentioned those yesterday. I will have to give them a look.
Thanks 👍👍
This one is damn near impossible to find. Even online. No one has it.
Home Depot just started carrying it too. I noticed it today.
Hello everybody, I am "Buddy"
Hey buddy 👍
Not a racheting screwdriver type of guy lol
I wanna like them, but they tend to just get left in the “fixed” position.
I just been turning my wrist for too long and My muscle memory hasn’t been programmed to use them. I know many people really really like them.
I'm tired of klein...they are always trying to get my money😂
I’ll give it to them…They keep coming out with stuff. I don’t use as much of their stuff as I used to, but they are still getting quite a bit of my money 😂
where are the bits?
@@joblow9752 this one comes with the bits in a 11-1 style. They are all combo bits in each end
Cha-ching is what I hear when you're site pop's up in my menu Good product as usual ... Thx from Eddy Pu.D
