I read a long time ago in a book that, once, a player, who used to lose the rook in exactly the same way, tried this against Capablanca, who refused to capture the piece and simply continued developing. The player was amazed and asked: "Excuse me, aren't you going to capture my rook with the bishop?" and Capablanca simply replied: "No, thank you. My bishop is worth more than your rook. I will capture it at the right moment."

It's a life affirming variant on the double Finchetto, "the plow," the honey field meadow etc...but Magnus was getting out front of great thing and doing courtesy of playing it wrong. It is the tip of iceberg though. There's a variant a child might play but not know the endgame to win. Natural instinct, very poetic, maybe proof of God. Chess is done though. there's no way it's not widely known.
Ik moet denken aan de keer dat mijn vader mij de regels had uitgelegd, dat ik de torens vrij nutteloos achtte in de hoek waar zij stonden en begon daarom met a4, Ta3, h4 en Th3.

Yes, but it's unclear whether they actually have evidence of cheating. It seems like this guy is just exploiting people's unfamiliarity with a weird opening. No one seems to know how to play against this opening, because no one really plays it.
@@Danmo10492where and how THE HECK that was confirmed, the gm even was on the list of suspicious players before this case and now he done this, no chance he's not a cheater.
If he had been still alive I would have said that this mysterious player was Bobby Fischer, who once crushed Nigel Short with apparently strange King moves in the opening. My guess is that it could be Garry Kasparov. Anyway, whoever he is this Super GM has a very profound understanding of positional play combined with incredible attacking skills. Thank you very much Robert! 👍 Marco EarlyJaques
Brilliant. I love how he came up with this absurd opening that goes against all classic chess principles. But it's only a matter of time until the community figures out the way to shut it down.
😂 this troll cheating was too obvious. But smart cheating is problem. just enabling evaluation bar (no stockfish moves help) give huge advantage in GM level games.

I like this opening but it is a bit risky after all but I’m gonna learn it for better 😂

I don't think that opening is going to catch on.
The account was just closed for Fair Play violations.
Not surprisingly.

I put so much time in studying pawn structures, and apparently all for nothing.
The guy who played this got banned for violating fair play and the other is magnus. You'll be ok
@@BREAKocean I am rather magnus and not okay.
Just make long castling and keep away your king from that dangerous diagonal. You will win with extra rook at endgame.
Thank you for teaching one of the best blitz player in the world how to play...

Yes, he came out on reddit claiming his innocence. GM Brandon Jacobson.

Opening by stockfish you knows
Magnus in disguise?
He's played these openings before.
The guy has been banned today.
Super,a new ideea,thank you
Pimp up my Nimzowitsch! I am bewildered. Thanks a whole lot for this even if too AI to be true!
VIIH could be 7H.
This is stockfish 17
That was probably Hans who was testing new beads
Can he\she be cheating?
they got caught cheating today
If it’s cheating , then at least we’re learning even more so the beautiful games engines are capable of playing .
Its more than obvious that he uses computer chess. Of course computers will still win after weak opening.

He is not a cheater, it's actually Brandon Jacobson and his account was banned unfairly
