He has a laugh and joke with the staff, is serious when he has to be but ultimately when staff are on holiday or an extra pair of hands are needed he doesn't just sit in a board room and call's shots and chuck extra work on other people, he roll's his sleeves up and gets stuck in on top of the workload he has at top level. That commands alot of respect and is inspiring.
Anyone who is in a management position who isn't able or willing to pitch in when the excrement hits the rotating air movement device, needs to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they're worth their salary or not...
After episode 100, you should spend a day doing each job around the yard or shadowing the people doing the jobs if you aren’t able. Would be interesting to see how you get on in all the different rolls

After having a rough week (where a foreman had to take off unexpectedly for 2 weeks and I had to fill in on site in a more involved way on site and I had 3 major quotes to complete with deadlines) I'm relieved to watch Ashville Weekly. This show has become more than a weekly ritual. Could you get your own borehole drilled? It would pump water a lot quicker than the mains if you specified the correct pump and would be free! (Subject to extraction licence if above a certain amount I think) Hate to think what your water bill is now. We had one done on our farm - best thing we did 👍

Hi, If you still get your Addblue in the IBCs why don't you fill them with water after you have emptied out the add blue. Then with a pump you could use them as back up to fill your Vollumetric mixers.

Daniel, as a Contracts Manager I was laughing at times and wincing at others throughout this full video, knowing all too well! If I’ve learnt anything, it’s that you can’t always predict human behaviour and I don’t envy you managing the lot with staff holidays etc!
Dan, you should get some sort of small vehicle that you could load and unload with a grab, so the drivers can drive themselves back from services and checks 👍🏼

You should look at a tracked stockpiler for the yard , it will increase the cycle time of the lh 60 from the rail cars . It would pile the material higher and neater in the bays .
I thought it would be a bit of faffing but often the train is left there. I know the trucks go on the way bridge so I suppose the loaders weighing each shovel helps get them accurate.
Once again I have nothing to do with any construction work or trucks or lorry’s I just love watching this man’s videos awesome stuff as as always hope you expand as much as you can your humble man

That's the best idea. The owner should do all the jobs Time to time.
Or alternatively follow a different member of staff around for a day and cycle through them to see different roles in the business

Our firm started using volumech around 6 months ago. Work done in a fraction of the time compared to the manufacturers own technicians

Just one question Daniel why can’t the LH60 load lorries when it’s that busy. It would save double handling and that’s pure efficiency at its best.
Too much faffin about when they get charged for the train if it’s late leaving
Also I believe the loaders have scales built into the shovels so they don't over load the wagons to my knowledge the LH60 does not have this
