@@GenaF Thankyou for noticing me. I am very proud in my work and where it takes me. This is one of my many achievements. To ""GIFT"" Daniel my work is and was a privilege. I would recommend the "old policies" should go into an archive folder withing the categories, specifically by date. You never know how useful being easy access to whatever your policies were say 4 years ago for quick and easy comparisons
On one of our sites they used two old skiPs to wash out into. They used silt busters to neutralise the water then it can be poured away. The skip can then be dug out or turned over to get rid of the sediment in the bottom. Helps to line the skip with visqueen
**SUGGESTION** Dig a pit for the wash out bay. Fabricate a steel frame then lay in removable steel grating. The crap will simply fall through to the pit and then when it’s full you can lift the grates and scoop out.
@ashville !!!! LOOK INTO USING CRUSHED GLASS IN CONCRETE. Gives a great finish on floors when polished … also good for normal and waste etc . Worktops etc also look amazing
the yard is taking shape nicely, all the hard work will pay of in less mess, also couldn't help but see plenty of your tippers up the m1 today, they seemed a good way from home.
Wash out bay, couple of ways I ve seen it done,is a triangular pit,not a deep one, which is walled on 3 sides with the slope open for a shovel to clear, with a red and white chain across the open end,or a walled enclosure approx 3/4 ft high, with a water drain off hole ¾ of the way up,that the grabs can clear out. Both work very well. Great vid as always, keep them coming.
First thing I watch on a Sunday, don't usually comment as I enjoy the content come good or bad but when I see a precision instrument , namely a spirit level, being used as a concrete smoothing dapple bar I feel the need to say something LOL
I see that all the time as a ground worker on site lol most of the time the boys are just using and old level they don’t use anymore so it don’t matter..
If you put the Bush in the freezer over night before you fit it, it will shrink it slightly and make it easier to fit. If you keep the spare in the freezer it will always be ready if you need it.
we just run a wash out pit that we ramped in with the loader so its easy to empty out and clean, just put a gate across the front to stop people walking in and a removable wheel chock to stop drivers backing to far in and you should be sweet.
Dig a pit and put a hinged grated system over it .thus keeping your employees safe once the pit is full simply lift the grate and scoop it out job done
A washout pit that is 3 or 4 bulkbags wide With a steel mesh over the top so you have removed the fall risk the bulk bags hang off the mesh and the lorries wash into the bags When they are full you lift them out The bags act as a filter so then you can have a pump in the bottom of the pit to pump out the water
It’s another exciting and interesting week at Ashville Daniel. Thank you😊 Glad to hear Maddy is still with you, and remains so; and ‘Hello’ to Ben😊Also, I’m sure you’re all for making the tyre-fitters’ life easier in time. And, when is the podcast available mentioned in your previous episode? Take Care😊❤
Concrete wash area, you could have a below ground level (loader bucket sized) pit with removable cattle grid /grids over top. Like a shallow descending ramp with inclosed walls that the loader bucket could easily clean out with one scoops. The cattle grid could be easily removed with the forklift and gives a safe platform for workers to Stand on when washing and no chance of falling into or standing in water when cleaning. Really like the video’s and the insight into the construction industry, great work.
The wash out pit has to be below ground level to get the auger down. We had 12 volumetric’s and dug a big old pit put railings round out and a gate on the front. Health and safety were satisfied with that
Hi Daniel.. long time watcher but first time commenting.. with the washout bay for the concrete... Where the bay is, concrete the floor and wash out there..Then you can scrape it out with the loader or excavator
In my opinion you could look into getting a tyre changing machine for your tyre fitter, save his back now rather than have a ambulance at the bottom of the hill.
A Canoe is like the red Indians used. A Kayak you sit in & have a waterproof cover around you. (Great for White Water). A Sit on top is what you were using. All great fun.
Get some Kennedy Grating dig a pit lay the Kennedy Grating over the pit and then you can reverse the volumetric conveyor over the pit and you can stand on the Grating while washing it out.
Driving with coffee like that can hurt, real bad real loong mate. Careful with it, put a lid on the drink, trust me them burns you can do well without!
Use 2 work at baching plant we had a bay with 2 timbers a across frut when washing out stone and crappie stayed in bay water ran o a pit and pump out clean when pit was full took timber out clen out with loader hen put timbers back
Wash bay for lorries, why not have a steel trough they back up over. Wash out in there, gets pumped to a tank, muck taken out and the recycled water can be used for concrete etc. works well
With the big Reno project would you do multiple in-depth videos on it for example 1 on all the structural works and another on the decorative an final on home automation?
So of gor nothing else I'm "stuck" watching Ashville weekly until the house renovations are completed. Well at least that's what I'm telling myself at 4:34 AM this Sunday...
It was a pleasure to make the stainless steel logo for Ashville, hope to work together in the future.

@Not Me I’m pretty sure ur probably 12yrs old and lying in bed
@@harryclarke632 if u have kids u fucked up then!
@Harry Clarke correct he has no kids or partner. His life revolves around his work, there is nothing wrong with that.

21:06 dayum daniel, what are those?! You know boi's making some money when he got them goodyear trainers on them trucks.
Dig a hole so a skip sits half in the ground for your wash out. We do that up here in Scotland
Great video never know a toilet upgrade to take so long lol
big tings going on , long time coming for that concrete pad in the yard. ashville team killin shit as per usual

Daniel looking a bit delicate on the Sunday Saturday must have been a good day
At 27:35 Flo looking like the west london eminem 🥶🧊 icyyyy lol
Wash out bay - put two more concrete blocks to create a raised pit, also makes it more obvious/harder to walk into the pit
Big up Daniel
Daniel...you just love tinkering in the yard don't you..seems when you're happiest.
The tipper with the continuous air horn:
Our buses do that if you kill the engine without engaging the handbrake (Scania)
Get some Kennedy Grating dig a pit lay the Kennedy Grating over the pit and then you can reverse the volumetric conveyor over the pit and you can stand on the Grating while washing it out.
I wish I had a builder as ethical and competent as Daniel when I was building; I got the opposite..
What we use on site for wash out is a cube with the top cut off it and a net across the top to catch the silt
Sales force!!
Cracking episode per usual Daniel, keep up the good work but remember drinking coffee whilst driving is illegal..... only saying
Nice Yacht Master and DayDate Rolex there fellas!
Wash bay, how about a ramp (two runners for wheels) that levels to the wagon is raised and level once on then the driver can clean down??
Can't imagine paddling in mud anymore. Thank goodness covid came to make me come to my senses. 👍
Lets go!! Serious 💪💪
Driving with coffee like that can hurt, real bad real loong mate. Careful with it, put a lid on the drink, trust me them burns you can do well without!
