    The Day I finished editing this video ADOBE Released another Update for PP, the 22.1.1 version. I guess we need an update video... Although I don't expect there to be BIG changes for windows users, coz most of the update was for Apple M1 devices... Stay tuned! 😉
    Also Review of this chip in the editing process!

    I would love to see you edit a full project at the most used resolutions like 4k 24 or 4k60. Because these 1-2 clips show an example but dont show the full truth with sound effects, vfk, assets and so on added. Still great video and very impressive

    Hey Tech Notice, I like your video's. I was wondering if you could do these tests but without a dGPU. Because with the current GPU prizes, People like me want to start edit video's temporarily without a dGPU and only using the integrated iGPU UHD 770 on the new alderlake CPU's. I have a DJI Air2S and I want to make some short instagram Reels, with the current setup i can not edit the colors in real time, it takes a second to see the slider updates.
    Maybe do a Ryzen Vega vs Intel UHD 770

      If you've already got the 'ultimate PC' then go for it, don't send the parts back. The x570 ( And AMD) platform has a benefit of being more stable and it's still better at rendering so no losses there, just if you hadn't made a choice yet and we're on a budget and you're video editor, then the 12600k makes a lot of sense :)

    The real showdown I'm waiting for is between the i5, i7, i9 - H/HK Alder lake mobile processor series Vs M1 pro/max. A PC is hardly portable.

    • @FantabMedia
      @FantabMedia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are plenty of tests on the Puget website with the newer 12900k/3080/3090 systems and the latest version of Premiere. The M1 has literally double the live playback score of these systems and that's including CPU limited codecs where the 12900k will win. So for HEVC/h.264, the M1 just kills Alder Lake.

    • @FantabMedia
      @FantabMedia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and they are full desktop systems consuming hundreds of watts of power.

    • @TJ-ev5uw
      @TJ-ev5uw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FantabMedia I specifically said mobile chip/processors. I'd love to see how an i9-12900H or HK series paired with a RTX 3080/3090 will perform against M1 max. There is no doubt that their desktop series will do the job exceptionally well. Like I said a PC is hardly portable. H.264 is not the hardest codec out there, but H.265. For eg. The canon R5 4K 10-bit RAW H.265 file is one such that is hard to crack.

    • @FantabMedia
      @FantabMedia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TJ-ev5uw Hi TJ wasn't trying to confuse things just pointing out that the M1 is already much more powerful at live playback than the desktop 12900k/3080/3090 combo (as I said double the live playback score on the Puget benchmark) so will be even better against a mobile part. It really depends on what you're doing I guess. Premiere has always tended to be better optimised for x86 and Alder Lake mobile will probably be faster for other things. For live playback without proxies though, the M1 is just fantastic and I have zero regrets.

    • @TJ-ev5uw
      @TJ-ev5uw 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@FantabMedia No worries. Some reviewers are all praises for the new alder lake series and are highly optimistic about it beating the new M1's. I'm also curious to see if it is all hype or whether it will live up to its expectations. I'd be interested in the real software testing than the cinebench or other synthetic benchmarks. Thanks for sharing your M1 experience. Some apps utilizing the raw power of M1 with just battery proves the M1's performance. Not quite sure how long would it take for an Intel or AMD to belong that clan.

    well sh** - i was going to order a amd 5700G before the end of year following your guides with a creator-focused motherboard but this i5 is actuallly around 50€ cheaper - i guess its maybe even outperforms the 5700G ? Now i just have to find a proper mobo before the end of the week (ddr4 would be fine)

    I know the OP doesnt reply at all. So do any of you here observe that all the tests were mostly handled by CPU and IGPU.....the DGPU featured very little in contribution. So if i get this processor and work with just the IGPU (till graphics cards come down in price) will this give similar results as shown in the video and be able to handle all 4K workloads on PrePro for short format video production of 3-4 minute videos. The timeline is usually 2 video layers and 3 AFX layers +5 vfx or titling layers.

    "I'd like to see Apple do this". An M1 can playback multiple streams (something I really wish you would test with the 12th gen CPUS ) of h.265 4:2:2 without issue in Premiere (I know as I have one sat here in front of me!). Please test out multiple streams, so many of us do crossfades, multi cam setups etc. etc. Even just add a basic crossfade between clips to see how it handles it.

    We need " REAL LIFE" benchmarks please, getting a little tired of seeing someone drop a 4k or 6k footage, be it 60 fps or 30 fps on the timeline and then running benchmarks, what good is that? I mean really? someone please drop some "REAL LIFE" timelines and THEN run a benchmark...Full Color Grade/LUTS, motion graphics, glitch transitions, heavy assets, etc - No one can make a accurate or better yet " REAL LIFE" purchasing decision when you put a simple 4k or 6k footage RAW with nothing on it, please, come on now;)
