It’s not that we need to normalize 90-minute blockbusters. It’s that Hollywood needs to figure out which blockbusters need to be long and which ones don’t. Venom 3? Yeah, that doesn’t need to be more than 90 minutes. The Batman? Great movie, didn’t need a whole three hours to tell its story. Avatar? That’s a gigantic sci-fi epic, and is probably alright being that long. Joker 2? Barely had enough plot to fill one hour, let alone two and 20 minutes.
Tom Hardy deserves better cinema.. you'll never see Cillian Murphy, Leonardo Dicaprio, or Christian Bale in any nonsensical film.. I hope Tom does the choicest roles going forward. He is one of the best modern actors out there.. GREAT actor!
Iirc, the first venom movie said that they can combine but the host will die after merging. They need perfect matches to the host to survive. Other than that, the symbiotes can just hop host to host killing them and not caring, which is what venom did in the second movie

@@codedk8778 I didn’t say that were works of art or the best films of the year they were just ok,nothing special but nothing worse and there have been worse superhero films like the eternals or Batman and robin
Quick correction to the lore, though it's honestly semantics, the symbiotes don't need to achieve symbiosis in order to achieve their full forms and use their powers. The first and second movie established that with Riots previous hosts collapsing and dying when he switched, as well as Venom forcing his non-compatible hosts to stay alive for as long as he can. Symbiosis is essentially when the symbiote and the host line up to a point where the symbiotes are able to regenerate them faster than they can eat them, which was also established in the first film
@@92brunod , the storyline in Thor Love and Thunder was terrible for Jane. But, it could have been a pretty cool arc. Kind of like the Comics. Most comic accurate Venom🤨, well, his story was pretty comic accurate in that but not the looks. It was just a Skinny venom. Read Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection Venom, then you'll actually understand Venom.
So every Symbiote knows the consequences of reviving a Dead Host including Venom. They know it is rare because this will literally entail Knull having a get out of Jail Free Card . This is not the case with Detective Mulligan as the Carnage Symbiote left him for dead. It was the Symbiote in the Lab that bonded with him for the first time that healed him. (The Green One). So there has to be a good bond to start with (Symbiote & Host). Then when the Host is Dead and the Symbiote revives the Host that is what creates a Codex. (Power of a Selfless Deed in a way, many reasons how this act can be interrupted to create a rare power).
In the first venom movie, the symbiotes don’t need to achieve perfect symbiosis to use a human. Venom had many hosts before Eddie and traveled a long ways. They can use them temporarily for a while the human just does at a certain point and they’re more powerful with symbiosis

Joker 2? Barely had enough plot to fill one hour, let alone two and 20 minutes.
''Rest assured things DO happen in this movie''
Ah. Excellent.
Tom Hardy deserves better cinema.. you'll never see Cillian Murphy, Leonardo Dicaprio, or Christian Bale in any nonsensical film.. I hope Tom does the choicest roles going forward. He is one of the best modern actors out there.. GREAT actor!
Christian Bale Thor love and thunder 😵😬
He's the one who leaned head first into the role, so he isn't faultless. I agree with you though, it killed his career momentum.
You do realise they’ve all been in Christopher Nolan movies and Bale was in one of the worst marvel movies made so far
He did it for his kid.
You don't see Leo, most other actors have worked on shit projects
Iirc, the first venom movie said that they can combine but the host will die after merging. They need perfect matches to the host to survive. Other than that, the symbiotes can just hop host to host killing them and not caring, which is what venom did in the second movie
Venom 1 and 2 were ok at best
2 was brutal
2 was magnificent Because venom was in it for more than 10 minutes screen time unlike the 1st one
Ok? Those movies were dogshit beginning to end, had no substance to them. It's like mashed a bunch ideas together to see what would stick and suckers like you fell for it.
@@codedk8778 I didn’t say that were works of art or the best films of the year they were just ok,nothing special but nothing worse and there have been worse superhero films like the eternals or Batman and robin
@@edelmantoamendola😂😂😂😂😂, Brutal, Probably, you just don't know the real Carnage.
That sponsor transition was slick!
I know he's an amazing actor, but Tom Hardy's accent and speech pattern in Venom is UNBEARABLE to me.
Same.its awful.
He really can’t do an American accent. His voice keeps bouncing between high and low pitch.
@@StormX6 Yes! That's probably the worst part to me. That and the weird NYish accent.
I almost didn't skip the add read with that perfect segway you smooth bastard
Starting the video out with the sponsor segemenet told me all I needed to know about this movie
That opening was absolutely awesome in 3D
Venom was a waste of Tom Hardy as was Thor Love and Thunder wasting Christian Bale.
It also wasted the whole Jane Foster as Thor storyline as well.
I agree.
@@joehenry9546 There was nothing to waste there, the storyline was already garbage.
@@92brunod , the storyline in Thor Love and Thunder was terrible for Jane. But, it could have been a pretty cool arc. Kind of like the Comics. They just rushed it in the movie, and we didn’t even get to see Jane first lift the Hammer. Instead it gets cheapened by the retcon that Thor told Mulnir to look after Jane instead of her always being worthy.
I laughed so damn hard yesterday when I saw on X a Marvel stan who got to see the movie early & this dude had the balls to say & I quote “one of the greatest superhero movies of all time.” Like Ron Weasley once said, how thick can you get 🤦🏽♂️
Venom 1: watchable
Venom 2: unwatchable
Venom 3: haven’t watched yet
I’m in the same boat.
I guess I'm the only one who liked the 2nd movie
@@BoosieBraun-q5ssame
@@BoosieBraun-q5swere you drunk?
@@BoosieBraun-q5s I loved carnage's design and Woody's performance. But venom lost that slightly terrifying vibe he had in the first movie. He was literally acting like a woman having period cramps all the time and they also took the 'loser' tag a bit too seriously considering Eddie was still hanging around with an Ex that tossed him aside like waste.
5:09 That’s code for “Venom 3 is nothing special”.
Code? It was pretty straightforward
Those previous post credit scenes had me thinking 🤔 he was going to battle Spider-Man…🤦🏽♂️
there is no way he hit me with an ad in the first 10 seconds. I am absolutely flabbergasted
Okay, the only marketable trilogy is over, time to stop with the Spider villain movies now, Sony!
but..but...we havnt gotten Morbius and Vulture teamed up yet!
@@DeRockMedia😂😂😂😂Sinister Six now as the Sony Avenging Heroes.😀
Kraven Movie incoming.🤓
Even the trailer was cringe. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time on this.
Venom The Last Dance. Seems like a good movie. I'm gonna watch it
Holy shit!!! Jeremy’s Venoms voice is on point!
Thank you for getting the sponsor out of the way at the start.
My favorite scene in the Joustice League was the race between Superman and The Flash of who could save the most people. That scene was so funny.
Kinda wild Spider-Man 3 had the most comic accurate Venom…
Most comic accurate Venom🤨, well, his story was pretty comic accurate in that but not the looks. It was just a Skinny venom.
Read Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection Venom, then you'll actually understand Venom.
Definitely the most scary
It sounds like Venom: the last dance is definitely one if the movies of all time.
The way I would rate the Venom movies are.
1.Venom
2. Venom Last Dance
3. Venom Let There Be Carnage
Hey that gives me hope thanks 👍🏻
A trilogy of movies I will never watch.
Let there be carnage was AWFUL, I'll torrent the hell out of this movie when the 4k files are out
They shld have just made these R-rated and as violent as possible
Saw you at Fred Meyer that one time that made my whole week at work😊
Knowing Sony I already know that Knull is never getting up from that chair in this movie and is probably just an after credits scene 😂😂
Bingo
They really should have made the Venom movies R rated.
1:01 - On with the review.
In the first venom movie, the symbiotes don’t need to achieve perfect symbiosis to use a human. Venom had many hosts before Eddie and traveled a long ways. They can use them temporarily for a while the human just does at a certain point and they’re more powerful with symbiosis
Venom, from the beginning was not meant for me or anyone I know who liked the character. What should probably be a horror action trilogy is an action comedy, idk what they were thinking.
Venom without Spider-Man never works.
Thats on the writters the idea itself is good
@@danielcesar664 some characters need the other to work. Joker needs Batman, Lex Luthor needs Superman are some of the big ones. Venom is a B character, a cool B character, but still a B character.
Joker worked without batman ( let's just forget the sequel ) and the penguin as well it's can work just in the right hands
@@lamsaidthetrue2238 and i would 100% watch a lex Luthor show
@@lamsaidthetrue2238 it helps when it’s not actually joker
Just give the rights back to marvel
6:36 until the box office drops
“Let there be Carnage” spoke for itself, it was destruction of a great opportunity. I’ll wait for streaming.
Hope to God after this we can get back to a true and good Venom portrayal.
"Jaustice league" will be my favorite quote from now on..

I watched the full sponsorship section because Jeremy is just that fun to watch
I didn't even know this movie was even happening until I think yesterday? Just shows how effective their marketing is.
I’m so nostalgic that when he said it feels like Spider Man 2 the video game, my first thought was the one from 2004 based on the movie.
Been watching for 6 years , u never disappoint 🔥

Still hoping for the Terrifier 3 Review
I looked on his channel, he hasn’t reviewed any of the terrifier movies…
Way too niche to be worth a video I bet
@@Dryblack1 Terrifier 3 was the top grossing movie last weekend.
@@kcadventures1454yeah most people have only seen the 3rd one , before terrifier 3 released it was pretty niche .
Terrified 3 has made over $30, domestically. But since it is a legitimate independent movie, it's availability may be somewhat limited.
I saw it and my spoiler free review goes something like this- if you've seen the first two, and liked them, go see it. It's more of the same, and tonally somewhere between 1 and 2. I liked it, didn't love it. I did like that I was supporting something that was outside of the usual Hollywood noise.
@5:55 haha a Phantom of the Opera reference... Things do Happen!
To be fair, they didn't make up the Venom MacGuffin for Knull thing, that happened in the King in Black comics
That silver streak of hair at your right temple is spectacular
They could have done a trilogy of Maximum Carnage, rake up the money and call it a day.
Venom: Things Happen 😂
The fact that he sounds like the cookie monster is enough to ignore these movies.
I'm planning on seeing the movie on Friday. I found the first movie okay, but I really loved the sequel, so I'm excited for the sequel
