You nailed exactly why I continue to fast despite that it’s no longer the hot new fad. Simply, it’s the only way I’ve been able to keep my weight in check. I can’t diet long term. It’s too difficult to give up foods I enjoy
I fast but find carbonated flavored water helps me get through my fast. It doesn’t make me hungry it actually seems to satisfy me so a clean fast without that might not work for everyone. I do make sure my coffee is black.
Love your sweet videos. I’ve been living an IF lifestyle for 7 yrs. Love it. I lost the 20 lbs I wanted to lose and have kept it off all these years. I’m thin and when I open my window I eat anything I like. ❤
Perfect 100% agree with you. I've been doing this for 7 years I will never stop! The energy, no brain fog, and no weight issues hanging on my shoulders that were since the seventh grade! This is true freedom!
@@candacerushing6882 my window is from 4-8pm, no limits. I know that's due to appetite correction. CLEAN fast! Black coffee, plain water, club soda. Period!! :D
@@hhhunt777 Hmmm. What I’m doing is pretty similar- eating window 10am to 3pm, and clean fasting. Energy and brain fog are still issues, but they always have been (since childhood). I’m thinking I might need to reduce carbs more. Thank for responding!
5:00 - A thought here. Since you only eat once a day, it is easy to tell which foods give you issues. If you ate all thoughout day, you’d be wondering which food gave you issues!
🤯🤯🤯so simple and so helpful!! I’ve never thought about it this way and will definitely be paying attention now to possible food reactions, I definitely have them😅 never been able to single them out.
I have lost 72 pounds fasting and have kept it off without giving up the foods I love or exercising (and including losing 41 lbs in 42 days) despite technically cheating and break my fast daily. That’s because I cannot stand black coffee and have to put both creamer and a hefty amount of vitamin D milk. Even so, I’m disciplined the rest of the day and do not eat before my eating window opens or after it closes, except when my type 2 diabetes gets in the way and my blood sugar level plummets and I must get sugar and/or carbs in my system ASAP. My fasting experience has taught me that there’s more than one way to skin the fasting cat and still break our sustained weight loss goals.
It feels like I'm not losing weight, even though I watch my calories 6 days a week. I have one day of a shorter fast, and a few more calories. But I'm old and short, you're young and tall. Makes a big difference. My fasts are usually 20-24 hours.
Try removing the higher calorie-dense foods like all oils, nuts, avocados. And eat natural food, nothing processed. I’m 64 and it helped me move from a plateau.
I know you say you eat what you want and add what you need. Could you make a video on that? I think it's important to eat what you want but also important to get some nutrition. What are your thoughts?
Example: Lets say you want a treat. Instead of indulging in the treat, eat a healthy meal or have something high in protein or nutritional value like some fruit or protein. This way you eat what you want but get what you need i.e. the treat, while getting nutrients and feeling full at the same time. This is a phrase thrown around a lot in the fitness industry, especially among trainers
In order not go lose your hair you need lots of protein and nutrients during your eating window, a great multivitamin and supplements like magnesium, omega 3, etc. Hope this helps.

What is your time/meal schedule? Do you limit carbs? Thank you! (I’m struggling with energy and brain fog.)

Jackie, you've inspired me so much with your videos.

I love this train of thinking! Especially with the keto breath during fasting!
Having a joyful fast...Thank you for this!
I’m new to IF. You and your community are so motivating! Could you talk more (or point me to a video) about your stumbles in the beginning?
You are so well spoken. Great tips

Hope you are having a good day today. I appreciate your help and information. Thank you.

I started intermittent fasting and do the 14:10 right now. It gets hard at night because I want to snack after my kids fall asleep.
Give it a little time and your body, then your mind, will adjust to your new fasting regimen. Best of luck!
I think its great that you can do omad without hair loss. Do you have suggestions for anyone with hair loss with omad?
I’m having major hair loss before evening starting fasting and am so worried about this too!
I understand your concern. Wish someone could help us with this concern on hair loss and fasting@@butterflychaser4538
Check nutrition, especially iron levels (ferritin, too).
I am trying OMAD and try to lose weight more and get healthy 😊......❤ Mary

I found out that my favourite carbonated water has salt and citric acid in it (unflavoured water). Does it brake my fast?

Are you summer season ? Those colours on you 😍😍😍
Does this affect your menstrual cycle?
Hi Jackie kind of ew to your channel. Just Q. Are you on omad or 18:6 or fluctuate? Ty
Did you lose hair? I want to get back to intermittent fasting but I'm so scared to lose more hair😰
Eat more protein. Hair loss is a sign of malnutrition, so look at the foods you eat first then adjust from there
I asked the same question about hair loss solutions during omad
