The only cartoon character worse than Homer is Peter Griffin. They're both useless. Actually, there are no longer ANY characters in either show who are worth their salt.

Next top 20 dumbest thing peter griffin has ever done
In one episode he finds a way to not have to physically go to work, having his computer installed at his house. He figures out he only has to type "Y" for "yes" and "N" for no, so he uses one of those knick knack birds that dip their beak into water to constantly type "Y" for EVERYTHING so he can do other stuff. Cue the power plant going into meltdown.😅
These are all super dumb examples. But as far as cartoons go, the ultimate dumb moment IMO was featured in an episode of Duckman, where the oldest (and dumbest) son is reading a book and everyone in the house is making a ton of noise. His response alone is very stupid, as he says (what we believe to be) "hey!" as in: "what's up with all the noise!?" but in reality he's reading a children's - learning with pictures - book on farms, and he's simply spelling a word out loud while looking at an image of a stack of *hay.* As the noise in the house increases, we get to listen to his "mind voice" complaining: "it's so noisy in here i can't even hear myself thinking... what?... it's so noisy in here i can't even hear myself thinking... what?" and it goes on. Those *were* his thoughts, but he didn't know it because *he couldn't hear himself thinking* so he's caught in a paradox loop. It's "please just stop" absurd lol
The rafting trip was ruined with or without Homer. Either way led to danger or death.
