Honestly, the only time I can think of when the Simpsons actually got some decent money was when they went to Africa and that scientist woman who made chimps dig for diamonds, literally bribed them with diamonds just to leave her alone.
I'm making an honorable mention for the time Homer, after volunteering to demonstrate new motion capture animation technology by a company called Animotion, Homer invested his life savings in the company and lost everything, having only enough left to buy a cowbell that broke after two uses.
And let us not forget the recent tipping scandal. Homer went from writing "1 dollar OK" to being misinterpreted as "10K" by the waitress who served him and his family.
The first one wasn't Homer's fault; 1: He didn't get his bonus. 2: The money saved was used to get a tattoo removed from Bart. 3: Bart also ruined his time as a mall Santa. 🎉
So Mr Burns being himself not caring, Marge being herself and pay the money to get rid of Bart’s Tattoo because she don’t want him to have one and Bart being Bart.
ALL of the Simpsons are terrible with money but surprisingly it's not homer who's the worst with money, it's Marge. She spends money when she sees something she doesn't like and wants to get rid of it, her hypocrisy getting the family in trouble, or her getting hooked on something, like that time when she got addicted on gambling.
Technically in that episode Homer discovered that Edison actually invented that chair first, tried to destroy the evidence with his electric hammer, but left the hammer behind when he didn't go through with it. So it was the Electric Hammer that was unfairly credited to Edison, not the chair.

When he says mood swings in many different ways
$ 333 Billion Dollars Homer Simpson Has Wasted Good Lord.
Honestly, you can't trust any Simpson with money. Every time they have a chance at a huge fortune, it's blown for some silly reason.
What about Lisa?
@@stevenasidilla4140 She tore out a check for 12 million dollars from Mr Burns
@@stevenasidilla4140she ripped up the check mr burns gave her for the recycling plant (I believe it was 1.2 million?, I know it was 10% of the profit)

Was that the episode where he found a crayon in his brain?
If Scrooge McDuck betted money every time Homer lost some, he'd double his fortune
Or to Peter Griffin. He won two lotteries in a raw and got broke quickly
@@veronicapiccinini7956 him too
Let’s be fair, Scrooge would never waste money on betting
@@liviolangella2777 fair enough.
@@liviolangella2777 true. But most people would make a killing betting how much money Homer would lose in a single episode.
Let’s not forget the time Marge said that Homer bought all those timeshares. “Luckily the cheque bounced.”
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! 14:56 "It's full of WHAT?!"
Never trust The Simpsons with your money
14:38 🎶A trillion dollar bill🎶 Wow
Bart: You lost a million dollars when you should really be losing 100 pounds.
Homer: WHY YOU LITTLE?!
Even after 35 years, Homer still can't be trusted with money. He never learns from his mistakes.
And let us not forget the recent tipping scandal. Homer went from writing "1 dollar OK" to being misinterpreted as "10K" by the waitress who served him and his family.
Waitress: you’ll never believe the tip I got
This is why Marge keep the money instead of Homer.
Because she's worse with it than he is.

Kent Brockman winning the lottery three times and Homey getting zilch.
You forgot when his money was stolen in "Thirty minutes in Tokyo" - $1200
If I were Homer and won a lot of money, I would keep the money in the bank instead of being stupid enough to lose it all.

That first clip, and the fact he felt compelled to send a check 😂

Homer is my fav! If Rebecca did a list on jobs Homer had she'd be here forever!
My favorite was losing money in wishing wells, so he can win more money.
