    Can you do a video showcasing Rainer Landfermann's vocals? You've taught me a lot throughout the years and I feel like you could absolutely do it 💯

      Hi, thank you for the idea! I have to take a closer look at his technique and figure what and how he does with his voice.

    12:38 - this was ‘the’ moment for me. I paused it there and really felt it out. Focusing on that nggg nasal sound right before the bike growl noise. 👍

      Twang, sometimes combined with a bit of nasality (just as in the "nee" syllable) can be extremely helpful for achieving a comfortable and consistent distortion :) I'm happy it worked!

    Oh man I think this is helping me!
    My first approaches feel a little tingly and unstable, is that okay?
    I'm doing a lot of voice checks inbetween and everything seems to be fine.

      Hello! If it means something similiar to tickling, then it can mean that the placement and/ or the breath support requires fixing - those 2 things are often related to each other.
      It's hard to say what exactly is good or what needs improvement without listening to your vocals. Feel free to send me a recording on email, I will try to do my best to help!

      Hey Sibila thanks for the reply!
      I took a long pause from this (lack of time) and just came back to it. Despite the pause I quickly got back into it, and right away I did much better!
      When I had the tickling sensation again I realised the placement was too high and I fixed that. Now it feels really great actually, like clearing your throat but in a huge way! I'm looking forward to developing an actual kargyraa sound and use that for wellness!
      Once I get around to it, I'd also love to accept your offer and send in a video of myself practising for you to review! :D

    What if my throat kinda hurts and i get a tendency to cough while doing this? I could do this before but now my throat is starting to hurt, especially the day after! Do you have any tips?

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello! Cough, discomfort etc. often mean that the technique is forceful and not precise enough. The most common reasons are:
      1. Lack of the proper breath support
      2. Pushing too hard on the sound
      3. Not precise engagement of the false vocal folds and tightening the vocal folds instead
      4. Using too much air that irritates the larynx and throat
      Can you tell a bit more about your experience with vocals? Maybe your voice needs to be better prepared for the kargyraa practice.

      @@sibilaextremevocal pewnie że tak, tym bardziej że Ty masz mało cieńć na filmach czyli wnioskuję że nie ma tu tysiąca wersji, natomiast napisy i ich synchro to już bardzo czasochłonny montaż, na pewno tez jest lepszy odbiór takiego filmu niż napisów, po angielsku mówisz zajebiście wyraźnie i z charakterystycznym flow więc się miło tego słucha, jestem na tak/yes

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dziękuję!
      PS W 99% filmów improwizuję, dlatego zwykle potrzeba nagrać dane zagadnienie 4-5 razy zanim wyjdzie dokładnie tak jak chcę, ale tak jak napisałeś - synchronizacja napisów i wcześniejsze ich stworzenie, to już bardziej czasochłonna sprawa i nawet nagrywanie jednego filmiku przez ok. 40 minut i potem szybki montaż zajmują mniej czasu :D

      It might mean that your placement (the source of distortion) is too close to your true vocal folds or you use too much air, or too high volume, or your breath support doesn't work 100% correctly. It might be that you also don't use your false vocal folds, but the epiglottis and the arytenoid cartilages (they create much flatter, constricted, rumbly and lower sound that false chords).
      It's hard to tell what causes the discomfort without listening to your vocals.

    What is the tongue supposed to be doing while I practice?

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good question! The most common method (both in classical and "modern" singing) is to keep the tip of the tongue behind the lower teeth (or on the lower teeth if the tongue is very long).

      Thanks!

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! It would be good to take a closer look at the position of your tongue when you don't speak, sing or scream. Some people keep the tongue in the same position for rest as they do during the vocal activity and it can create constrictions in the tongue because it can't rest properly.
      I've found something that can give you few general advices that can help :)

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you mean the rattle from CVT, then it's something different. In this case the distortion is created mostly by the false vocal folds and some engagement from the arytenoid cartilages.
