- We wrap up our work on the Cleveland Indians Grounds Crew tribute GMC C-10 with an incredible Satin clear coat spray out from Summit Racing. In typical fashion, the C-10 let us down and left us stranded on our first test drive.

I had a planned to use PoppysPatina Sauce and I luckily wussed out because my patina is spraypaint too and I had concerns of it re-wetting. I will have to look into the Summit Satin. Thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us so we can see what happens. Great video sir.
Thanks for watching. I thought a wipe on clear would be great content,…because I thought it would work. Turned out, the great content was due to some pretty significant failures. Pinned your comment on this vid.
Just found your channel as I was searching for info on why my VGG “wipe on” clear coat project was such a disaster!! LOL! Glad to see another Christian knuckle buster doing things with his family. Love your content and TOTALLY jealous of the REO!!
Nice! Well, I can highly recommend the Summit Hot Rod Satin 😂. Christian Knuckle Buster would have been such a great channel name 😆
My dad taught me to change a tire when I was 9yrs old....even at 54 I still like to work on my own cars if I can. If I had my own shop I would do it all.
Thanks for the kind words Steve. Always glad to help out. The truck looks great!
You sure are a great dad there needs to be more farthers spending time to teach there kids how to fix cars and trucks an life keep up the great work
Thanks 👍

You did awesome on that C 10 it looks awesome now that I would love to drive here in Missouri awesome video as always brother you and your princess are a awesome pair working together amen on the verse that you quoted it God bless you and your family Matthew 5;9 blessed are the peacemakers for we are the children of God KJV
Love the truck. I quit drinking and doing drugs about 20 years ago. All my so called friends disappeared lol. Imagine that. I don’t mind but it does make it hard sometimes having to figure out how to do some things by myself.
The truck is outstanding. Great job both of you ! As always I liked and shared. All my very best. May God bless.
Turned out nice !
The truck is looking super awesome sweet job ❤ you rock it out 😊 merry Christmas 😊
Love the look of the truck and all the work that you have both put into it, well done. I've got a 67 C10 over here in the UK.
Very cool!
hope to see your channel grow
Thanks, we do too. We didn’t set out to do anything more than document our time in the garage and entertain a few friends and family, but we’re grateful others have joined the crossthread family.

Thanks for the sub, and the encouragement. Much more ahead in 2024.
Looked at buying some merch but you don’t have my size. I’m 2x guy. Let me know if you get any. Love your videos it reminds me of me and my daughters when we were working on their vehicles
We’ll have them re-stocked after the new year. We’ll announce on the channel, so keep watching. Thanks.
Always a good time seeing what turns up here. Wanna know the definition of irony? When an average guy does better work than most BMW shops could do, on something with zero documentation, in the dark, when it's almost freezing, with just a harbor freight LED flashlight in a Crossthread Garage shirt, and Goku going Super Saiyan 3 in the background
Thanks Travis. I was tracking with you right up til that Japanimation reference there at the end 😆 I assume K8lynn is Goku?
@@Xthreadgarage Well this is a first, someone in the Toonami (90s) generation that doesn't know about Dragon Ball/DBZ/DB Super. Anyway, it's one of those moments when the most unlikely person does the impossible thing that even the "best" stumble on. It definitely applies to K8lynn too :)

That is the exact same thing I'm doing to my 1967 Ford F-100 SWB. It still has some factory paint on it. The guy I got it from it sat in his front yard for about 30 years and never moved. It's Whiteish on the roof and Red everywhere else. I made up a fake speed shop name and hand painted it on the doors. Everything else is gonna get scuffed some flat clear and I'm done.
I like it….and I ain’t never seen it.
@@Xthreadgarage Thanks. Sending anything thru the internet is Way above my pay grade. If somebody tells me to send them pictures. I ask them what their mailing address is cuz that's how they are gonna get it.
One more rusty Square saved(ish)!
did you try banging on the starter? i just had to do that this winter on stepdad 2013 chevy truck in minus 25 c weather but it worked
Banging on it wouldn’t have fixed this issue. Starter was bad and replaced in a later video.
Love the truck and all it stands for family wise. Curious why if your selling it why put those logos on it?
Taking a gamble on creating something to set it apart from all the other C10 trucks. My wife thinks we narrowed our potential buyers, I call it targeted marketing. We’ll see. I know this. I haven’t driven it yet when I didn’t have someone ask me about it. I’ve had lots of C10’s over the years and none of them got this kind of attention. Thanks for watching.
Came across your first show last night when the VGG product was misslabled. I guess they tried to make it right, anyways i see your still blaming them. I like VGG and how they promote family and stay positve. Shine juice is for jalopies. Good luck.
I think if you watch the episodes, you’d see I say basically the same thing you do about VGG. Love the channel, he licensed his name to Poppy’s Patina, and they messed up. I made sure to be very clear that they tried to fix the problem with the right finish, but it came out worse than before. And the term shine juice was popularized by VGG for old jalopies. Use it where it fits I guess. I wouldn’t say acknowledging someone’s mistake is the same as blaming anyone.
I don't understand the desire to spend tons of time to work on any auto, fix rust, sand and do proper prep work, paint it and be happy that it still looks like it needs a paint job. It is a nice job for sure but... Hope you understand my thinking.
I totally understand that. It really boils down to what you like, you build, I think. I would never build a street rod, because I think they’re all basically the same, too much chrome, and I’d be afraid to drive it for fear of ruining a custom paint job. In this case, I like patina, on everything, i collect old tools, I collect old farm implement, and I like patina’d vehicles. Of course I prefer original patina, but this truck looks the part and it can still be driven without fear of being the first one to ruin the paint. Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback.
Well you asked I came across your content because I like cars trucks bikes etc like you and your daughter working on vehicles but religion is a personal opinion and I feel it should stay that way just my 2 cents
Thanks James. I hope you keep watching and enjoying our content. As a pastor, I’m convinced Scripture has such a relevant connection to everything we do, so much wisdom, and my inclusion of a verse from the Bible in each episode is a way to show that to Katelynn, and others. I appreciate your honesty. Thanks again for watching.
