I think that conspiracy theorists just can't deal with the fact that ancient civilizations weren't as rudimentary as we'd like to believe. The existence of aliens and ancient civilizations being developped enough to construct elaborate structures are concepts that can coexist without necessarily being linked.

A lot of times when people are perplexed about history, it's pretty simple. Once there was a show where they wondered for 30 minutes how the pyramids were perfectly divisible by pi and a tired paleontologist was like "they probably just used a wheel to do their measurements" and the entire show collapsed. Or when they couldn't figure out how they did the hairstyles that defined gravity and a person said that's clearly sewn on and wasn't believed until they were proven right

It's a bunch of rocks on the side of a hill and are claimed to be "ancient landmarks for other travelers" I went there and saw most of them myself and came to the conclusion that, based on the fact that most of them had the artistic equivalent to a child's art, the petroglyphs were most likely from the kids running off to play while the parents were busy while setting up camp.

It’s not as simple as a right angle... the degrees to which it is off by is incredibly small. All 4 sides have a uncertainty of 4 millimeters from each. So what they made was a perfectly square building that had corners that point nearly perfectly in the cardinal directions. As well doing this as many times as there are layers throughout the pyramid. Experiment go out and grab a bunch of granite which is extremely tough to shape and then build a perfectly square or he’ll try even one square. If you can’t find granite see how hard it is for you to simply draw a perfect square. Then after you do that just go out and grab a bunch of people that don’t know what there are doing and command them to draw a perfect square when they have no idea what a right angle is, what a square is, straight line is, what anything you are building is.

As someone who's taken extensive ancient art history classes, I think it's fascinating that nobody ever accuses the Greeks of getting help from aliens. The columns of the Parthenon are curved at perfect subtle angles, and would require a compass a mile wide to get that result. We can't do that without modern machinery. In the restoration of the Parthenon, there are certain building techniques that we have needed to MAKE UP, using modern machinery, to replicate what they did. But no, just because the Greeks were Oh So Sophisticated and Western, it couldn't be aliens. (BTW, not saying the Parthenon was made by aliens. I believe neither ancient monument was made by aliens. ) Also, wasn't there evidence of ramps at later, similar tombs, specifically Hatshepsut's? Later Pharaohs didn't have the resources to replicate the scale of the Great Pyramids, but they still built more. IDK, I just think that these theories are pretty dismissive of the quality of ancient art, especially that of nonwhite cultures.

exactly!! thanks for putting this here so i didn't have to go on the same rant (i would probably do it much less eloquently). i don't know why people are so baffled by the idea that nonwhite ancient civilizations had creativity and intelligence. i mean, islamic scholars not only accurately diagrammed our solar system but calculated the circumference of the earth centuries before europeans even started thinking about the cosmos scientifically. i'm not surprised at all that the dogon tribe was able to do the same thing and took it further (the islamic empire was doing way more stuff than just astronomy at the time). and yes the greeks had more documentation, and thats just because thats what the greeks valued. most of african history was recorded through art and oral tradition, which is why we don't have written documentation. it's just a cultural difference! (research lukasa boards as a good example of other ways history was preserved in the area) and the egyptian architects were geniuses, and very careful planning was put into the great pyramids by incredibly intelligent people who had been practicing the art form for centuries beforehand. with the amount of resources the ancient egyptians had at the time, along with their advanced mathematic capability and knowledge of the cosmos, its totally probable for them to have built the great pyramids on their own.

Considering the vast amount of information lost in the Alexandria library fire, it's very probable they had access to more advanced technology than we think. We have absolutely no idea what kind of literature was lost. There could have very well been schematics. Egyptians also had an entirely separate script for handwriting. They didn't write on paper in hieroglyphs. I doubt, for instance, they'd consider a shopping list important enough to be buried with. Also, the simple fact that any tools built with lumber may easily have rotten before any sandstone. The climate in that region at the time, was much wetter than it is now. For all we know they could have had water wheels, cranes and lifts. There is some evidence that Rome around this same era had mechanical clocks and gearing systems. Also, the argument that tools aren't depicted in art because... they're tools... is very valid. As an artist, I can't say I've ever been compelled to paint or draw a power drill. Not to mention the Dark Ages actively wiped out a lot of science (the ancient Greeks knew the world was round... the Church was like, "nah") and I'd dare to say set technological advancement back roughly 1,000 years.

In the African mystery schools, they taught all sorts of different techniques to activate dormant abilities. Our ancestors were much more advanced than we are which is why they built great monuments your dirty scientist still can't figure out. And how smart our we? All I see from modern society is a whole bunch of pollution and a group of people to greedy and dumb to sustain themselves on one planet. Kemet (Egpyt) was an empire that lasted thousands of years with no pollution. America is only a few hundred years old and we've polluted the planet so much, people are wearing masks because the air is so dirty. I don't see much intelligence in modern society. So I don't care what your history books tell you. There's a caucasian version of history and there is an indigenous, autochthonous American version and I know my ancestors won't lie to me. yeah, it's so wild to me that people interpret that carving as a spaceship. like, have you seen mayan art? the carving is insanely intricate and decorated and that level of stuff in the piece doesn't at all indicate a spaceship to me, it means it's probably an important scene related to the mayan belief system or depicts and important ruler. like you could look at nearly any piece of mayan carving in the same style and claim its a """spaceship""" no matter what it's depicting lmao

Considering that modern engineering often uses unnatural materials like metal and glass (and a large variety of other materials) has anyone ever considered that ancient Egyptian engineers who primarily worked with natural stone might have had a greater understanding of engineering with that specific material then we have even today, but that the knowledge might have been lost through the centuries? That could eventually lead to breaking barriers in maths/physics and making new discoveries, which could lead to them building those enormous and magnificient architectural phenomena.

Imho, regardless if the blueprints were allegedly burned down, the Egyptians love placing Hieroglyphs and have done so to put a stamp on everything they praised, made or achieved, with regards to the pyramids if they did built them, it should have contained writings etched in stone that would have been preserved for eons within its hard casing walls like with the valley of the Kings, the absence of such inside the so called gigantic tombs may mean they had nothing to do in building them and the scary part here is, it seems they never even tried, was that because of pride? At a time when conquering was a thing? We may never know the truth sadly for as long as politics and greed are still prevalent surrounding the structures.

9:23 The Egyptians *did* have simple pulleys, wheels and work animals. There are literally hundreds of hieroglyphs depicting their use. The pharaos had chariots. The farmers had oxen.
Also, wooden wheels were pretty much useless when loaded with 2.5 tons, that's why they used solid rollers and sledges. Also shown in hieroglyphs. "No wheels" is irrelevant.
10:20 Since the magnetic north is always moving, it can never be perfectly aligned. You're confusing geographic north. They knew about that kind of north, they did extensive astronomy. North is pretty easy to figure out.
10:31 They didn't know about or use imperial feet. This has more to do with how the Egyptians defined the slope, or seked. To put it simple, there are lots of fractions that approximate pi quite accurate. And the Egyptians knew about pi, there are papyri explaining how to calculate, or approximate it.
Also, this is almost a thousand years after the Sumerians. They knew about quadratics (surface area), cubes (volume), pi (if you use wheels to measure out things, you get lengths that curiously enough have the same ratio to the diameter...), and much more. All of this was already old news to the Egyptians really.
10:59 *The Pyramids of Giza do not align with Orion's belt.* Not unless you first flip the entire plateau upside down (e.g. it bends the wrong way). If everything was built with such accuracy, like "fifteen digits of pi" accurate, they wouldn't make such a big and glaring mistake.

fun fact there is a reason for this !!! Sounds of suspense add to the fear factor, if you were to watch a horror movie without sound, you would most likely feel no form of fear. odd example but; i was in class one day and this kid was watching a horror movie trailer with earphones in and i was watching without sound, and it scared him half to hell when i remained unfazed. (And i am a v e r y jumpy person, so it's not
like i'm so weird superhuman who can't get scared)
it's all about the type of music, im sure if you added something peppy and lost the sound effects (which also amplify fear), you wouldn't get scared !

Let me explain to you a bit about „ the reporter“ you are talking about: he was Staff Scientist at Hayden Planetarium, then became its youngest acting director, he was the main Project Scientist in the $210 Million Reconstruction of the Hayden Planetarium. He was Visiting Research Scientist at the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University. He is a member of the American Astronomical Society, Astronomical Society of the Pacific, International Planetarium Society, New York Academy of Sciences, American Physical Society and American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
He has a lot of Research Publications in astrophysics (e.g. Bursting Dwarf Galaxies: Implications for Luminosity Function, On the possibility of Gas-Rich Dwarf Galaxies in the Lyman-alpha Forest, Radial Velocity Distribution and Line Strengths of 33 Carbon Stars and a lot more).
He got Hubbard Medal for Distinction in Exploration, Discovery, and Research, in addition to that he got Medal of Excellence at Columbia University, and he was named as one of the 50 Most Important Blacks in Research Science by Science Spectrum Magazine.

The problem is that what is being said don't add up which gives room for people
To think something else happened. Either they were way smarter and advance then we say they were or it wasn't built in 23 years it is really that simple. The drawing argument is hard to Debunk as just 'art' cause people from across the world that never met or talked draw same 'alien' like stuff. Odds of thousands of thousands of people drawing the same 'art' is very doubtful. Present day with us being stronger and bigger we couldn't do the pyramids in 23 years with power tool
Computers and trucks/lifts. Even with all that we would need 4-8 years they said to do
