I personally find it unacceptable that class changes were not complete before launch. they should have prioritized that before anything else. the character is the vehicle that the player experiences the game world .if that is broken, you have failed out of the gate.
There is only one ability that MM hunters have to stand still and that is aimed shot. Everything else we can move. And even aimed shot is a charged system now which makes movement a non-issue.
After wednesday's raid, I decided to reroll to Balance druid from Elemental shaman. Currently level 76 on the druid, already having a lot more fun than with how clunky ele shaman felt.
I agree in almost everything with u except from one thing: shadows. I’ve been main shadow since cata and I think we are in one of the best shadows ever. They still do a Lot of damage with dots if u have the proper stats, and u gotta use the second talento on the lvl 100 choice that grants u a second void form. And, void form now hits everyone and not only those with dots!!! Its awesome. It is true that now dispersion is not healing us but it’s a fair price to pay
Having the fortune of my Lock being the same iLvL across all 3 specs...I have to disagree on one point. Affliction is smashing the other two specs in terms of damage. I hated Afllock for the longest time and swore by Destro, but man it's fun right now. Quest packs are nothing. Just walk around and Agony/Corrupt everything in sight, then go make a sandwich while they all die. In dungeon is where they shine though. I may not do the most damage clearing out trash, but when Boss time hits, Lock takes center stage. Haunt/Agony/Corrupt/Unstable Affliction x3/Phantom Singularity...by this time Agony should be at about 6-7 stacks. Hit with Deathbolt and pull out Deathglare. Easily sitting around 4k DPS by this point. Refresh Agony at the last second and Haunt when it's off CD and the boss is dead, while you're sitting atop the damage meters. Comparative to Destro which has a high plateau and tends to stay there, and Demo which has a low plateau and no substantial burst, it's easily the best current spec. Especially in PvP.
Thank you. Affy is top 5 damage and destro/demo are below average dps right now. I can only hope they buff us back up a little but they did this at the beginning of legion. Destro was so bad they had to buff us back up by 15% but it took 3 months before they did it. It was awful.
Your comments about elemental make it seem like you know little about it. You can't flame shock everything anymore because it has a cool down, and path of flame was removed. That combined with essential talents sharing the same row make it quite different to Legion. It's in really bad spot right now because not only is the playstyle unfinished, but its damage hasn't been tuned yet, and it's depressingly low.
As an ele shaman main in legion/prepatch, I would say whoever keeps playing ele shaman from now on until rework needs to reconsider. Shaman besides resto is a broken class. Enhance is barely ok while ele is just broken.
Frost Mage was my main alt for Legion and it was extremely rare to have a long time with no procs at all. I actually found myself more starved for souls and shards when I played my lock.
Hey Kelani, this is folks - awesome video (as usual). Im in that sad wagon that's headed for BMHunterville. Played lock for quite a time throughout legion, can't really accept what happened to them lately and I don't see anything that'll get them afloat .. And hunters are just... flawless. Yeah they're simple but right now playing lock is like trying to run marathon with sack of potatoes on your back. Yeah, you can but why? Plus those huntard changes are quite appealing. And damn, those survival grenades are just too fantastic. sad thing that some of the classess are just left for 8.1, this really sucks =(
I'll main a hunter, between MM and BM a lot covered. Also, hubters are the kings of open world content. My first alt will be a rogue and the second will be a warlock. Embracing the pure DPS in BfA, enough of the mazoquist tries to main ele shaman.

In Legion ( as a very casual player, who don't do always the right thing) I did BM hunter- great on AOE in good in PvP, Unholy Dk - ok in PVE and excellent in PvP, even though half of the time didn't have a clue what I was doing, but Demo Warlock it took some time to learn and I wasn't good at any. Now after the prepatch I 've been playing Demo lock and honestly have to say it is a great support class in any PvP . However single target demo I'm struggling.
i've mained priest since the end of wrath. going on 9 years now. i loved disc when it was a shield healer, a tank healer and a damage prevention style. when end cata came around and all i was doing was mass bubbling before aoe damage, i went to holy. i found it hard to use the chakra system but i fell in love with it quickly. shadow was always a tough cookie for me in wrath and cata, i didn't like how it was played. when mop came around and everyone went DP mind flay insanity. i decided to go with the MS procs. i loved the utility of shadow and holy. i didn't care much for disc. i also didn't like how they tried to force disc to be atonement, i wanted a support class and a damaged based healer, or a healer based damage... but this wasn't what i had in mind. i got into a serious relationship as well as mental issues so WoD was kinda skipped with me and i was very casual in legion. i'm really dissapointed with the position priests were put in. i didn't care about void swap, but i loved the utility like life grip for shadow. fear ward, renew for disc and shadow. it felt like they made priests crap. i was generally around 2k rated when i played in all brackets, and i absolutely loved how cata disc played and how mop shadow played. i want the old priest back.
Going to main a DK for sure as I find the class very enjoyable overall, particularly Unholy, but going to have a Balance/Resto Druid in my backpocket for when I need to go ranged or need an extra heal for my guild :)
Comments are full of anecdotal opinions and people are flaming eachother over what is better because they saw a guy in their party that had more dps than them. Jeez. Either look at current sims or wait until BfA to analyze logs.
I'll main Fire Mage like I've been doing for the last couple expansions but I might focus on Frost Mage a little just so I can get a feel to it. Never tried getting into that spec because i didn't do PVP but if itll help in dungeons, I'm all game.
I would have to disagree with your take on affliction as I'm able to pull good numbers single target an aoe on mine both in pre patch and beta, in saying that I use different talents that you were in your video. All in all great video though
It's not quite like fragments as with Destruction. But you're right - it's not pure random. It is a chance to get a soul shard per tick but the chance goes up slightly every tick in a hidden accumulator. When you get a soul shard, the accumulator resets. This is so that you don't have ridiculous dry-spells of having 0 shards.
It's RNG. But theres an unlucky protection element to it. I usually generate one shard each 6~8 seconds. But you can absolutely get two shards in a row. Edit: BTW each independent agony has it's internal unlucky protection. Meaning that having multiple Agonies will give you a crap load of shards.
It bothers me that some people watch this and get discouraged to play a certain class/spec because they enjoy it more than others, but then reroll to Something that’s more of a meter topper, but then don’t know how to play the class at all.

I boosted a fire mage to lvl 110 and I want to say that I got used pretty fast with the playstyle. The only problem that I seem to have is survivability, especially since I still have more than half of the (shitty)gear that came with the boost. I can avoid beeing killed by using ice-block and stuff, but my health goes down pretty quick. Any advice?

2 tanks that had aura of respec and sklils Were all you needed to Clear Any pug raid. and some Leadership from main tank is Top way to play And When you tank you Preplan Evry Dr and you watch All raid and .Play with Dbm and Always Plan 1 step ahead. in mechanics. and Small guide lines for Raid. and you will domagic For any Group.
As someone who has mained a BM Hunter in legion and tested it out in the pre-patch, then I definitely disagree with your ranking of it. BM's aoe is worse than it was in legion and it wasn't good in legion. It's good for single target still, but you talked a lot about it's aoe and it isn't in a great spot. EDIT: Yes, we have stomp, multishot (which by itself does no dmg) and beastcleave. Keeping barbed shot at 3 stacks is literally impossible (quite literally), and that's the most important part of beastcleave... Unreliable. Then we have stomp, which is a fine talent and does decent dmg for aoe. BM Hunters don't have any burst aoe, which is the most important aoe you can have for pve content. (wrote it in the comments too, but felt it would be better to put here, as most people won't look at the comments of this comment.)
Cred1ble you probably dont have war mode on.. says alot by how you can say our aoe is bad when stomp multishot eagle aswell as proccing on certain pets will make ur aoe skyrocket

BM is decent at aoe, yes, never said they were terrible. Kelani just made it sound like BM were super good at it, which BM is by no means, specially as BM got no burst aoe and beastcleave is unreliable as the stacks can fall off without you being able to stop it.
@SignsOfKelani what's the addons you're using that displayed health focus and buffs in the middle of your screen for hunter? I love the minimalism and size of it.
I don't think you've really played/tested affliction on ST in bfa. Affliction is a beast on single target! Also, Destruction warlock isn't so tied to 2 target since havoc isn't as powerful as it was, 10 sec duration, 30 sec cd, only 60% of the dmg replicated.
Balance is the best caster in BFA and it's not even close. I tested every single ranged spec and balance by far has the best toolbox where pretty much all other ranged classes got homogenized to the point where they feel generic. If you want to main a caster in BFA I strongly suggest you look at Balance druid. Trust.
How I wish they would let go of the immobile ranged model, for no reason whatsoever other than some weird game balance model instead of only doing it for select skills, for most specs, when it actually makes sense for the spell\s animation or theme.
^ That is the reason why melee is 'can do damage to things while they run away' while range has to stand still. the 'range' part is the differentiation. If all ranged classes could do dps while running around they would rein supreme in pve, and even more so in pvp. A range class could slow a melee class and they could never die 1v1 while the melee class would do no dps besides what even class 'ranged' ability they got.
Would be horrible in pvp. Played my Bm hunter in a bg the other day and against a ret Pally I completely annihilated him, (twice since he used lay on hands) and he could not touch me save for judgement, as I kept slowing him and kill him. And for Bm every ability is instant.
How can you make this comment when the model of 100% mobile ranged has been tried and proven true as a viable model? BM was not out of control in either pvp or pve this entire expansion, yet remains fun for many and a competitive choice. Other games have also proven this through similar class design and have had similar results. In fact, in Rift, specifically during their Storm Legion expansion, the vast majority of ranged specs were either 100% mobile or 100% mobile, aside *one* 1.5 second cast every 15seconds or similar. The classes in Rift were never perfectly balanced, just as those in WoW never are, but the balance was never such that it was dominated by the highly mobile ranged classes, not even close. The choice to penalize ranged with predominantly, and especially completely, hard casted kits is very arbitrary. Lastly I'll say if pvp balance is your concern the totality of a ranged class's mobility can be countered in kind by simply giving melee more or shorter gap closers, pulls, slows, snares and even hard cc.
Shamans won't get anything in 8.1 I mean this happens every time, before Legion dropped they said Ele was going to get major changes, the changed the name of mana to maelstrom.
That pendulum is swinging hard on demo lock right now. My guess is that the next swing over compensates for the Negan nerf bat they just received. Probably won’t settle down until well after BFA launches, unfortunately.

so after being away from wow for 7 months, i went and tried my new ret spec in icc25 heroic. wow either ret is broken or the bosses have a crap ton of hp and or i cant or dont crit them fast enough as i did before patch 8.0 anyone experience this?
In leveling a shadow priest right now level 50. So far shadow is amazing in PvP and has so much utility. I'm really enjoying the playstyle and can only expect it to get better 8.1
witcherdrew I’d say check videos of Spriest POV in raids/dungeons first. If you like it then go for it!, any class is playable and you can grind raids with as long as you like it+play it well.
As someone who's main'd Shadow for a long time, shadow priests current state is not good and 8.1 will not have much gameplay changes if you are looking for the "fun shadow priest playstyle" I don't suggest it as it's lost the core of the spec , you're much better off rolling a boomkin right now
Demo has dreadstalker talent for aoe which is solid, hand of G does decent aoe, you can opt into the bombers as well, and using implosion can give you stacks of core which will inherantly give you more shards for more implosions. Idk about your take on demo man, seems like you didnt look into it at all
Would love to have 2 multi role range DPS, but shadow priest doesnt look good and resto sham feels too reliant on stacked people to heal, will have a look at 8.1 till them im Balance main with a monk alt, both of which i really enjoy

12 years of druid I play calss that is fun and is my style.. not What is dmg or rank in that pach.. And I was Druid That Was Respected ON realm Tank that was Gret person Non grreedy i played to progres On bosses that was fun. and Tanking is For Most Skiled and Dedicated Players..
You must be playing a different affliction lock because we still have the ability to multidot and vile taint is a pretty good talent as well as sow the seeds. Or thanks to how dots calculate damage if you take dark soul misery you can just multidot then let everything die. It's still really good in aoe scenarios because your targets don't have to be 2 feet from each other to get the effect
Phantom sing/seed of corrup/agony on targets, and have grim of sacrifice on, watch what happens, did a 21 VOTW and was comparing to a DH on pulls. Vile taint is trash. Specially if tank has to kite.
Yeeeeaaaaah if in BFA they weren't able to finish a few class specs you have to wonder what other corners they are cutting. I already have BFA bought but we'll see if I play past the first month or 2 because the azurite system seems really bad, the new content they added seems lack luster, and almost every class has been stripped down and simplified
I mained an Ele Shamn in Legion, and I still love it on the BFA Beta! With the recent (POSITIVE) changes to maelstrom generation, it shows the team knows whats good for the specc. I cant wait for what lies in store for my zappy boi!
MM is so easy, its very hard to lose dps with aimed shot. Even if you have to interrupt a cast there is no dps loss unless you over cap aimed shot/focus. They have insane mobility compared to most rdps its barely worth saying that movement is a weakness for them, they have it easy compared to every other rdps spec but BM.
Yo guys, maybe some of you can help me, i am confused on what class to play for BFA. i am playing on live now and i am liking the following (mind you i like both PVP and PVE): -Rogue, both Assas and Outlaw -Hunter, Mostly Survival but a bit of BM too -Warrior, Furry and arms but more furry than arms because its more fast pace -Warlock, (i have not played warlock) but i like the look of Demo and aff, Demo looks fun to play though. could any of you guys help me as i like them all and im not sure what to main for BFA. i could really do with some guidance
Hey mate, I personaly would say Rogue or warlock. Rogue right now looks like the powerhouse of the expension and warlock is just my personal favorite. About warlock being to weak right now: We always are beginning of the exp, but blizz always bumbs up 1 of the specs to ' op '. But if u dont want the wait, i would suggest rogue. Thanks for your comment mate, i have not considered paladin tbh, automatically ruled them out because i played them 2 expansions (MOP and WOD) i do like them but i would like to main something i have never really mained b4. i must say though, i am an altaholic and i always have all classes max lvl every expac. i mained druid in legion but towards the end of the expac i started to play warrior. i had loads of fun on my warrior but i get bored of playing the same class :/ so i want something that is fun, something that will keep me engaged. the ones i have been playing the most is assa and outlaw Rogue (more assas though) and survival Hunter (a little bit of bm, i find it good but a bit boring) i played a bit of warrior and Fury is fun and seems so visually appealing to me and arms hits hard (looks ok) i enjoy them all and i am confused i will try Ret though and see if i enjoy it
MadSkizelz x I'd think about your favorite content. If you're a raider, check the numbers (single target, cleave, aoe, etc) and what your guild needs. If you like to organized PvP, check what your guild rates BG needs and what comps your friends are playing and what they might need. If you're more casual and play most time in open world content, you can't miss with pet classes. If you're impatient like me, hunter has better mobility compared to warlock.
thanks dude, im not really a hardcore play or a casual, kind in between. i like to play BG's and some arenas, as for PVE i like raiding or M+ dungeons so. and im like this new Warmode for WPVP. so i dont really know how to narrow it down to 1 class :/
Rogues in PvP are king. Warlocks vary in PvP, I find them less effective than rogues at present but have only the 110 lvl experience on both, so things might be different at 120.
Elemental shamans are so weak right now... my main is ele, and it is so much weaker after 8.0, I have a mm hunter with around 30 ilevels less that does significantly more damage :( To not have time for a full revamp is one thing, but why also nerf abilities?? At least the devs could have held off on that part.
It's mobility is kinda, but not really, hurting compared to most classes, but it's definitely not in a bad spot. Takes a little while with every xpac since Cata for ele mains to readjust because blizz is always switching stuff around to throw people off.
I was really considering maining a shaman, but seeing constant negativity for it. I've come from maining shadow in legion as well which probably has had the most changes throughout the whole xpansion of legion
It's far from dead. Just takes people taking the time to theorycraft on their own or wait for those of us who do theorycraft to fill in the rest of the world as to what should be done. I was about to switch over to enhancement for BFA after being ele since WotLK, but I really enjoy the spot it's in. It's more middle to mid top of the pack when it comes to the numbers if played properly
The only thing I hate about Ele atm is the lack of mobillity. I really do not get why they removed Gust of Wind, it has resulted in Ele being complete crap in PvP and even lost some power in PvE with that change
Ele is not dead but it's in a bad place right now for sure. My main is ele and patch 8.0 changes were brutal. The new Stormkeeper is bad, and that 6 seconds cooldown on flameshock is completely unneeded, it is not like shamans were overpowered before. Plus, there was so much movement on some of the later dungeons and raids in Legion that it was hard to cast anything.
I'll be sticking with my shaman and hoping elemental or enhancement spec gets some love. If all fails I'll have my beer chugging, fist throwing monk to keep me company

Frost becomes much more fun/engaging if you pick up Glacial Spike. Also makes it less procc reliant, especially when coupled with Ebon Bolt.

In Legion ( as a very casual player, who don't do always the right thing) I did BM hunter- great on AOE in good in PvP, Unholy Dk - ok in PVE and excellent in PvP, even though half of the time didn't have a clue what I was doing, but Demo Warlock it took some time to learn and I wasn't good at any. Now after the prepatch I 've been playing Demo lock and honestly have to say it is a great support class in any PvP . However single target demo I'm struggling.

i've mained priest since the end of wrath. going on 9 years now.
i loved disc when it was a shield healer, a tank healer and a damage prevention style.
when end cata came around and all i was doing was mass bubbling before aoe damage, i went to holy.
i found it hard to use the chakra system but i fell in love with it quickly.
shadow was always a tough cookie for me in wrath and cata, i didn't like how it was played.
when mop came around and everyone went DP mind flay insanity. i decided to go with the MS procs. i loved the utility of shadow and holy. i didn't care much for disc.
i also didn't like how they tried to force disc to be atonement, i wanted a support class and a damaged based healer, or a healer based damage... but this wasn't what i had in mind.
i got into a serious relationship as well as mental issues so WoD was kinda skipped with me and i was very casual in legion.
i'm really dissapointed with the position priests were put in.
i didn't care about void swap, but i loved the utility like life grip for shadow. fear ward, renew for disc and shadow.
it felt like they made priests crap. i was generally around 2k rated when i played in all brackets, and i absolutely loved how cata disc played and how mop shadow played.
i want the old priest back.
Going to main a DK for sure as I find the class very enjoyable overall, particularly Unholy, but going to have a Balance/Resto Druid in my backpocket for when I need to go ranged or need an extra heal for my guild :)
Destro locks can get some insane single target damage with proper talent choices
I like how during the balance review, you can see the DH dominating the meters on aoe..and thats supposed to be what they are really good at.
Comments are full of anecdotal opinions and people are flaming eachother over what is better because they saw a guy in their party that had more dps than them.
Jeez. Either look at current sims or wait until BfA to analyze logs.

I'll main Fire Mage like I've been doing for the last couple expansions but I might focus on Frost Mage a little just so I can get a feel to it. Never tried getting into that spec because i didn't do PVP but if itll help in dungeons, I'm all game.

Frost, fire and demonology look the best in BfA. Frost could be even better than fire due to slowing ability, great in m+ and outdoor content, pvp.
As someone who rerolled from DK to MM Hunter for BFA I feel sad about the damage but still enjoy playing it.

Agony isnt a chance to give a soul shard. Each tick gives a portion of a soul shard, once you hit or go over a full shard you get that shard.
This is false. Agony damage has a chance to generate 1 soul shard only destruction has soul shard fragments

It's not quite like fragments as with Destruction. But you're right - it's not pure random. It is a chance to get a soul shard per tick but the chance goes up slightly every tick in a hidden accumulator. When you get a soul shard, the accumulator resets. This is so that you don't have ridiculous dry-spells of having 0 shards.
It's RNG. But theres an unlucky protection element to it. I usually generate one shard each 6~8 seconds. But you can absolutely get two shards in a row.
Edit: BTW each independent agony has it's internal unlucky protection. Meaning that having multiple Agonies will give you a crap load of shards.

I boosted a fire mage to lvl 110 and I want to say that I got used pretty fast with the playstyle. The only problem that I seem to have is survivability, especially since I still have more than half of the (shitty)gear that came with the boost. I can avoid beeing killed by using ice-block and stuff, but my health goes down pretty quick. Any advice?

2 tanks that had aura of respec and sklils Were all you needed to Clear Any pug raid. and some Leadership from main tank is Top way to play
And When you tank you Preplan Evry Dr and you watch All raid and .Play with Dbm and Always Plan 1 step ahead. in mechanics. and Small guide lines for Raid. and you will domagic For any Group.

As someone who has mained a BM Hunter in legion and tested it out in the pre-patch, then I definitely disagree with your ranking of it.
BM's aoe is worse than it was in legion and it wasn't good in legion.
It's good for single target still, but you talked a lot about it's aoe and it isn't in a great spot.

BM is decent at aoe, yes, never said they were terrible.
Kelani just made it sound like BM were super good at it, which BM is by no means, specially as BM got no burst aoe and beastcleave is unreliable as the stacks can fall off without you being able to stop it.
How do you show hp bar, class resource bar and buff timers under the character? Is that part of the default ui?

I don't think you've really played/tested affliction on ST in bfa. Affliction is a beast on single target! Also, Destruction warlock isn't so tied to 2 target since havoc isn't as powerful as it was, 10 sec duration, 30 sec cd, only 60% of the dmg replicated.
Balance is the best caster in BFA and it's not even close. I tested every single ranged spec and balance by far has the best toolbox where pretty much all other ranged classes got homogenized to the point where they feel generic. If you want to main a caster in BFA I strongly suggest you look at Balance druid. Trust.

How I wish they would let go of the immobile ranged model, for no reason whatsoever other than some weird game balance model instead of only doing it for select skills, for most specs, when it actually makes sense for the spell\s animation or theme.

^ That is the reason why melee is 'can do damage to things while they run away' while range has to stand still. the 'range' part is the differentiation. If all ranged classes could do dps while running around they would rein supreme in pve, and even more so in pvp. A range class could slow a melee class and they could never die 1v1 while the melee class would do no dps besides what even class 'ranged' ability they got.
Would be horrible in pvp. Played my Bm hunter in a bg the other day and against a ret Pally I completely annihilated him, (twice since he used lay on hands) and he could not touch me save for judgement, as I kept slowing him and kill him. And for Bm every ability is instant.
How can you make this comment when the model of 100% mobile ranged has been tried and proven true as a viable model? BM was not out of control in either pvp or pve this entire expansion, yet remains fun for many and a competitive choice. Other games have also proven this through similar class design and have had similar results. In fact, in Rift, specifically during their Storm Legion expansion, the vast majority of ranged specs were either 100% mobile or 100% mobile, aside *one* 1.5 second cast every 15seconds or similar. The classes in Rift were never perfectly balanced, just as those in WoW never are, but the balance was never such that it was dominated by the highly mobile ranged classes, not even close. The choice to penalize ranged with predominantly, and especially completely, hard casted kits is very arbitrary. Lastly I'll say if pvp balance is your concern the totality of a ranged class's mobility can be countered in kind by simply giving melee more or shorter gap closers, pulls, slows, snares and even hard cc.
Arcane mage was awesome to play in legion, in bfa it’s about as fun as swallowing barbed wire.

Shamans won't get anything in 8.1 I mean this happens every time, before Legion dropped they said Ele was going to get major changes, the changed the name of mana to maelstrom.
That pendulum is swinging hard on demo lock right now. My guess is that the next swing over compensates for the Negan nerf bat they just received. Probably won’t settle down until well after BFA launches, unfortunately.

No, our dots will still be a huge source of our damage, they buffed them significantly to make up for the loss of Stellar Empowerment.
so after being away from wow for 7 months, i went and tried my new ret spec in icc25 heroic. wow either ret is broken or the bosses have a crap ton of hp and or i cant or dont crit them fast enough as i did before patch 8.0

In leveling a shadow priest right now level 50. So far shadow is amazing in PvP and has so much utility. I'm really enjoying the playstyle and can only expect it to get better 8.1
witcherdrew I’d say check videos of Spriest POV in raids/dungeons first. If you like it then go for it!, any class is playable and you can grind raids with as long as you like it+play it well.
As an Spriest main, I highly recommend having one eventually, 8.1 might make it feel less clunky, but overall good damage and still a fun spec
As someone who's main'd Shadow for a long time, shadow priests current state is not good and 8.1 will not have much gameplay changes if you are looking for the "fun shadow priest playstyle" I don't suggest it as it's lost the core of the spec , you're much better off rolling a boomkin right now

Demo has dreadstalker talent for aoe which is solid, hand of G does decent aoe, you can opt into the bombers as well, and using implosion can give you stacks of core which will inherantly give you more shards for more implosions. Idk about your take on demo man, seems like you didnt look into it at all
Would love to have 2 multi role range DPS, but shadow priest doesnt look good and resto sham feels too reliant on stacked people to heal, will have a look at 8.1 till them im Balance main with a monk alt, both of which i really enjoy

12 years of druid I play calss that is fun and is my style.. not What is dmg or rank in that pach.. And I was Druid That Was Respected ON realm Tank that was Gret person Non grreedy i played to progres On bosses that was fun. and Tanking is For Most Skiled and Dedicated Players..
affliction is terrible for aoe now, but has very good single target, and good 2-3 target "cleave"
You must be playing a different affliction lock because we still have the ability to multidot and vile taint is a pretty good talent as well as sow the seeds. Or thanks to how dots calculate damage if you take dark soul misery you can just multidot then let everything die. It's still really good in aoe scenarios because your targets don't have to be 2 feet from each other to get the effect
Its terrible for burst aoe but decent with sow and an azerite trait or 2. With AC and creeping death. But crap in burst aoe
Phantom sing/seed of corrup/agony on targets, and have grim of sacrifice on, watch what happens, did a 21 VOTW and was comparing to a DH on pulls. Vile taint is trash. Specially if tank has to kite.

Yeeeeaaaaah if in BFA they weren't able to finish a few class specs you have to wonder what other corners they are cutting. I already have BFA bought but we'll see if I play past the first month or 2 because the azurite system seems really bad, the new content they added seems lack luster, and almost every class has been stripped down and simplified
I mained an Ele Shamn in Legion, and I still love it on the BFA Beta! With the recent (POSITIVE) changes to maelstrom generation, it shows the team knows whats good for the specc. I cant wait for what lies in store for my zappy boi!
MM is so easy, its very hard to lose dps with aimed shot. Even if you have to interrupt a cast there is no dps loss unless you over cap aimed shot/focus. They have insane mobility compared to most rdps its barely worth saying that movement is a weakness for them, they have it easy compared to every other rdps spec but BM.
you know the expansion is gonna fail when the devs can't even change the classes in time
Yo guys, maybe some of you can help me, i am confused on what class to play for BFA.
i am playing on live now and i am liking the following (mind you i like both PVP and PVE):
-Rogue, both Assas and Outlaw
-Hunter, Mostly Survival but a bit of BM too
-Warrior, Furry and arms but more furry than arms because its more fast pace
-Warlock, (i have not played warlock) but i like the look of Demo and aff, Demo looks fun to play though.
could any of you guys help me as i like them all and im not sure what to main for BFA.

Hey mate, I personaly would say Rogue or warlock. Rogue right now looks like the powerhouse of the expension and warlock is just my personal favorite. About warlock being to weak right now: We always are beginning of the exp, but blizz always bumbs up 1 of the specs to ' op '. But if u dont want the wait, i would suggest rogue. Thanks for your comment mate, i have not considered paladin tbh, automatically ruled them out because i played them 2 expansions (MOP and WOD) i do like them but i would like to main something i have never really mained b4.
i must say though, i am an altaholic and i always have all classes max lvl every expac.
i mained druid in legion but towards the end of the expac i started to play warrior. i had loads of fun on my warrior but i get bored of playing the same class :/ so i want something that is fun, something that will keep me engaged.
the ones i have been playing the most is assa and outlaw Rogue (more assas though) and survival Hunter (a little bit of bm, i find it good but a bit boring)
i played a bit of warrior and Fury is fun and seems so visually appealing to me and arms hits hard (looks ok)
i enjoy them all and i am confused
i will try Ret though and see if i enjoy it

If you're a raider, check the numbers (single target, cleave, aoe, etc) and what your guild needs.
If you like to organized PvP, check what your guild rates BG needs and what comps your friends are playing and what they might need.
If you're more casual and play most time in open world content, you can't miss with pet classes. If you're impatient like me, hunter has better mobility compared to warlock.

Rogues in PvP are king. Warlocks vary in PvP, I find them less effective than rogues at present but have only the 110 lvl experience on both, so things might be different at 120.

Elemental shamans are so weak right now... my main is ele, and it is so much weaker after 8.0, I have a mm hunter with around 30 ilevels less that does significantly more damage :( To not have time for a full revamp is one thing, but why also nerf abilities?? At least the devs could have held off on that part.
Ele shaman is REALLY bad in 8.0.... no mobility and the damage is tuned way down.
It's mobility is kinda, but not really, hurting compared to most classes, but it's definitely not in a bad spot. Takes a little while with every xpac since Cata for ele mains to readjust because blizz is always switching stuff around to throw people off.
I was really considering maining a shaman, but seeing constant negativity for it. I've come from maining shadow in legion as well which probably has had the most changes throughout the whole xpansion of legion
DomXM numbers can always change, but I personally dont like the mobility issues

It's far from dead. Just takes people taking the time to theorycraft on their own or wait for those of us who do theorycraft to fill in the rest of the world as to what should be done. I was about to switch over to enhancement for BFA after being ele since WotLK, but I really enjoy the spot it's in. It's more middle to mid top of the pack when it comes to the numbers if played properly
The only thing I hate about Ele atm is the lack of mobillity. I really do not get why they removed Gust of Wind, it has resulted in Ele being complete crap in PvP and even lost some power in PvE with that change
and the lack of good burst dmg (stormkeeper) and flameshock spamming and elementarschlag (sry dont know in english)
Ele is not dead but it's in a bad place right now for sure. My main is ele and patch 8.0 changes were brutal. The new Stormkeeper is bad, and that 6 seconds cooldown on flameshock is completely unneeded, it is not like shamans were overpowered before. Plus, there was so much movement on some of the later dungeons and raids in Legion that it was hard to cast anything.
Ya I agree with you. Ele shaman is not dead, but they are below average imo, especially in pvp.
I'll be sticking with my shaman and hoping elemental or enhancement spec gets some love. If all fails I'll have my beer chugging, fist throwing monk to keep me company
