Instead of trying to weigh the plushie to figure out how much yarn you used, you can weigh the yarn itself. Weigh the ball before you start then weigh the ball again when you’re done, then subtract!
The great thing about grannies is that unless you want only matching squares you can make them and store them until you want to use them.
I've started using my scraps as I go. I have 2 scrap WIPs, one continuous granny and one raglan sweater and when I get a scrap from my current project, I immediately add it one of my wips😂
the passionknit Kelsie in the background😆😄😃
You can give your leftover yarns to a kindergarten! They always need a lot of yarns and will be happy!
in love with scrap yarn projects! obsessed with the way the bag turned out !
For the plushy yarn I would. Either make pillowcases or one big blanket, with all the colors, depending on how much you have.
That bag is TOO CUTE!!! The faux fur really did set it OFF, great job!
I LOVE making granny squares. Glad you are enjoying it.
I loved this video idea! Can’t wait for part 2! That bucket hat was stunning it was giving candy corn and now I can’t wait for fall season
I think I'm in love with that bag I was planning on selling bags nonstop since they're easy just a few granny squares I'm working on a scrap yarn cardigan but I plan on selling bags.
IM SO EARLYYY. I love when people use their scrap yarn instead of wasting it! ❤❤❤😊😊
Hi there! I also recently started grannies as a way to get rid of scraps, after almost 30 years of crocheting. I've been tying in ends as I go, and that makes me feel more accomplished as I join them. Great work!!
Try the join as you go method for granny squares! I hate having to sew them together because I feel like it’s not strong enough, and sometimes I change my mind on how big of the blanket I want so I use the jayg method to have more control over the size and structure of my blankets. It also creates a really nice swirl/braid effect on the colors and added texture depending on what type of jayg you use!
love the bagg!! can't wait for part 2
First video of yours I found! So cute! I never have any small scrap yarn because I immediately turn them into granny squares. Now I have an idea of what to do with my giant stack of squares.
First time here! I LOVE your hair! I’ve been crocheting for a few years and I’m excited to stick around and watch!
You already know, when Tianey posts it’s a good day ❤❤😊
I love watching your videos especially when I'm on my period and my cramps are acting up rn so I smiled when I saw this, Ty for the perfect timing
Talking about the shades, 2nd hand craft stores and some apps I've found have people with vintage yarn. I even found some colorways that I never thought I'd find again because they're over 20 years discontinued. I happened to find some while on a scrap yarn hunt and let's just say the blanket that got started with that yarn is being reclaimed and a new blanket is in the works to align with the skills I had when I first tried to make it. In short, basic stitches to let the colors speak. It won't be fancy, but the blanket is 25 years in the making, so worth it.😁
YES YES YES to a part two, three, four ........ Greetings from Denmark, Susan
Make scrunchies with the plush yarn, baskets holding multiple colors with any yarn (5 or more strands), bucket hats with a different color for each stripe - keep up the good work!
I love your hair and videos I hope you can get 50k subs soon!!!
omg, I'm obsessed with the bag! :D turned out soooo cute
Tysm for giving me ideas for my scrap yarn!!! I have so much of it lol ❤❤
You can make some small dinosaur or flowers or something like that with the blanket yarn. I know they have things like pocket animals. Sweet softees has several patterns for small animals.
LOVED THIS I'm de-stashing right now so this was helpful!
First time watcher! thanks for the great content. Love a good scrappy video!
just found your channel, your videos are great! i was just looking for scrap inspo and i am so glad i found this!
I lovve crocheting wile watching ure videos
They always help me stay focus just to let you know
Your videos are amazing i got real support😊😊❤
I love that granny square bag! So cute
ngl I didn't see the vision for the bag but it turned out SO CUTE!
I would take some of the smaller scraps and makes a magic ball... aka random bits of yarn tied together like a variegated skein... and use it to make a beanie and/or scarf. The V-stitch works up fast for scarfs and it would use a significant amount of yarn. (If you're cool making "out of season" stock)
I loved this! A good yarn eater project that I've been doing lately is the picot bandanas that is by Passionknit Kelsey here on the tubes. They look great with scrap yarn IMO, great vid and I can't wait for part 2!!!😊
Definitely make more of those granny stitch hats.
Some other projects that are good for scrap yarn are blankets, baskets(double up the yarn for extra strength and durability), and non-color changing, solid granny squares(less cute, but more versatile).
Scrappy beanies are ALWAYS fun
Love the bag ❤️
I love this video you should make another one and one with just granny square projects!
bucket hat has big candy corn vibes
Make baby bear hats with the plushy yarn. I found them on TH-cam. It's a hat with ears added. Just a suggested. Also, adult cat beanies with plushy or velvet hats. Put a fur ball at the top. White, peach and yellow bucket hat.
The bucket hat is giving candy-corn vibes!
(You should make scrap yarn tote basket!)
im totally doing this idea!! also i love your videos tianey❤
also-i liked making granny squares…until i made 96 of them in a row 😭
Turn it into a bag or blanket but maybe that wouldn't be enough, or cardigan!!
The hat is giving candy corn
I love your channel
You should chrochet a blueberry, with the blue plush yarn, it would be SOO cute!❤
First time watching your channel and I love the video 🤍. If you want something that takes up a lot of scrap yarn you could try a scrap yard top or sweater
You should use magic knots to reduce your ends. You can make cat beds with plushy yarn.
YOU NEED TO MAKE PART 2!!!!!!!!!!!
I looove these Kind of videos 😊 Greetings from Denmark, Susan 🇩🇰
Suggestion: you could make ur own variegated yarn and make beanies. Also scraps are good to make ear warmers, fishnet gloves and headbands
I've got to do this idea❤❤
What crochet hooks do you use? They like they have comfortable grips
Just came across your channel! Btw I love your hair
Thankyouuu!!
Hey that bag is cauuute
Your nails are so cute!!!
In Australia it is winter so if you have things for winter then people over in Australia will love it
Your videos are so fun! 🌷🍓
And also can u please please make a plush yarn bucket 🪣 hat 👒?!
Here before fame ❤
If you want some Ideas you can make a blanket and once you run out of a color you Chang it.that is what I am doing
i recommend making bees with velvet yarn 6:14
Make a part 2 plss 😊😊😊😊and EARLY
Can you make a yarn shopping video and crochet 😊
Scrappy blanket will use up all your scrap yarn
When in doubt use scrap yarn as stuffing
Omg i litrelly watched this when it was posted 2 minutes ago as a non member
This video went up for members earlier this morning! The upload time shows what time everyone can see it :)
You can make a ploshe snake
Is it just me or her " scrap yarn" is just to me i crochet one thing then i still have yarn becuse after i crochet my " scrap yarn "is the same size as when i first bought it but just now i can still use it keep in mind that I crochet big to medium sized plushies
Why not use the blanket yarn for scrappy scrunchies? They always turn out good regardless of how little you have of each color
12:53 were you watching 9-1-1 that aounds like bobbys actor
It take me like 2-3 days to to make 1 project 😂
I'm on a mission to do this
Make a scrap yarn blanket.

Oh my gosh you’re cute as a button and this was a great video!
❤❤
Ik I wouldn’t mind if you gave me the yarn… I’m broke ok!😂😢❤
Crochet more baskets ha ha
Not Passionknit Kelsie in the background
this is great! I would love to see more of you though, since you do a lot of what passioknit Kelsie does. she is really great, I agree, but I would like to see more of your ideas! I suggest posting more of your ideas, or making more of your ideas! No hate at all, and you are super great!
This video is not related to passionknit Kelsie at all! I only have two crochet challenges inspired by her while my hundreds of other videos are my own💗
I love passionknit kelsie but I don’t think making a video using scrap yarn is at all related to her. If you crochet then you have scrap yarn and Tianey didn’t use any of passionknit kelsie’s patterns or ideas so either I’m not understanding your comment or I don’t understand where you’re coming from with this
@@tianeyassata yes! again, I love all of your videos. you are doing a great job! I am a crocheter too, and I love watching passioknit Kelsie. but your products are adorable!
@@arcitita not the video, the video is completely her idea. I wasn't paying the most attention to when she made the bucket hat, but I do remember that passioknit Kelsie made the same one. it's not her pattern, or her idea, but it was the same one. and everyone can use it, yes! but I was just wondering what she would have made if Kelsie didn't make the bucket hat, or didn't make it a large product. the video isn't related to her, I just noticed the alphabetical restock and the "how much yarn can I use in a ____?" which are totally things I would do myself. tiany is great and super cool though!
And haven't you thought about donating these leftover projects to charity?
