Could you do a video on the history of equity analysis? i.e. what the first sort of equity analysis looked like and how it has evolved over the decades? Thank you kindly!!
Not that I don't think the original video has any validity to it, but I had to look up this reaction because I find it hard to believe a lot of Vice videos. Couldn't they get any guy to put on a mask and describe what sounds like a fantastical combination of Requiem for a Dream and American Psycho.. but on the other hand the figures regarding salary and bonuses seemed accurate.
the world is definitely more sensitive.. that was a fact the moment the police pressed charges on a 13 year old for using the wrong pro nouns with another student..
this guy is in the youtube video called trading life style.. he's in Wales now living in a farm in a big mansion. his necklace gave him away as I have watched a video of him with him showing his real face before the video is called forex traders lifestyle;- trading excess in the city )
Hey mate, really enjoying the reactions. I think you could improve the content by just adding some additional thoughts after the clip has ended. The ending feels a bit abrupt sometimes, especially since it sometimes feels like you've got more to say!
5:50 FACTS FACTS FACTS!!!! Can't stress this enough☝🏾...always give back to your community where you can though be that financially, through education etc..
I have to disagree where he tried to justify a crazy bonus like that, because in the companies the people who bring in the profit are not the ones eligible for these kind of bonuses, the hardest working and most skillful ones are usually payed the least, the ones who have anti social personality traits can get to the top to exploit others
This is why I don’t like Vice. It’s so pretentious. His name’s Geraint Anderson. He literally wrote a book and toured around TV stations telling this exact story over and over to sell his book years ago. And here’s vice dressing him up in a mask with creepy music as if their investigative journalists have picked up an underground figure who’s not just doing his exact same old publicity routine we’ve all heard before.
Why regulate bonus? I mean, if the bonuses are percentage of the worth of deals closed, one would lose incentive to perform better once the bonuses reach the ceiling. It doesnt really make sense to me.
Love love this video and the commentary you provided, especially as a person of color, imposter syndrome is real and we often feel undeserving of our salary.
But that wasn't the point being made by the guy being interviewed. A person of color could still feel that way in any other profession, but his point was specifically about investment banking.
Having never lived the experience of a white person, what makes you believe this is "especially" true for people of color? Maybe the issue lies more in the fact you assume every difficulty must be due to your skin color, because we all know white people have Goldman Sachs in their DM as soon as they pay the bachelor's inscription!
I'd say that the situation today is exactly the opposite. For example, JPM has a trainee program in Brazil where whites are not allowed to apply. It's racist and against the law, but nothing is done.
Started tuning in due to the industry episodes. Really enjoying these kind of videos and really happy to see you growing. Would you ever consider doing podcasts with ex investment bankers? I would really enjoy a live Q&A also. Just an idea...
Wait so if you are an investment banker, you are not allowed to trade 'from home' with your own money? Is it classed as insider trading? Great video, keep it up 👍 The guy is Geraint Anderson, just for anyone who didn't know.
The Vice video is so dramatic. The interviewee is all over TH-cam with no mask; all of a sudden his identity needs to be hidden. Maybe that mask is to protect against COVID-19.
