Thank you for making this video! I just purchased a 2015 R8 and am going to be starting the 55,000 mile recommended maintenance items very soon.

Thanks man! It was pretty simple, anyone who can use a wrench can do this!

Not that I own an R8 but great video and confidence for pulling off this brake job. It looks straightforward. The R8 isn't as any more complex than any vehicle. How much in labour cost do you think you saved?

I probably saved $2,000 on labour but that totally varies based on shop etc. Either way, this was a cool experience to do it yourself and you feel good doing it yourself :)

Hi Sonduren! Wow, we are in sync.... We bought our R8s at the same time, and I'm also about to replace my discs, pads and hoses. Thanks for creating this guide! I ordered SHW discs too, but I'm not sure which pads to go with. How did you find the Hawks now that they are on? Better than OEM? I was planning on going EBC Redstuff to try and reduce brake dust, but I've read mixed reviews about the benefits.

Hahah love it. Good time to do it. Love the hawks but it’s only been a few weeks. 0 noise and basically 0 brake dust with my OEM pads. Amazing combo so far. Very very happy.

Will you bleed the breaks ?

No need to bleed the brakes when doing this job!
