New Fuel Filter for my Abandoned SL500, is it Running like new?

In todays episode I install a new fuel filter, give the car a tune up and fix a bunch of things praying my cheap 1995 SL500 runs like new again?

I just changed fuel filter on mine. The arrow points towards the rear of the car. It did so on the old filter I removed. I looked it up and could only find videos with the arrow pointing to the rear of the car. Mine is 1996 but fuel pump and filters looks identical. Btw get a plastic cover to protect the fuel pump and filter if you don’t have one.

21:50. Foot to the floor should see you Rpm go up to max in no time and you are pushed into the back of the seat. Like you take off

Yeah its not running on all cylinders. Im pretty sure the filter being in backwards caused injectors to clog

change spark plug cables and those caps that are cracked (where u plug the spark plugs)

Mine has two fuel pumps, so is one missing or is that correct? I find using torx sockets work best on merc hex.

These cars have 1 and 2 fuel pumps. Some cars are Bosch jettronic, some cars have caps an rotors still. Around 95 is where everything switched.
