A very good video, looks like you took the tank out, My sender unit is stuck on 1/4 i suspect like yours rust on that center rod, pity they didnt use stainless steel. I stored the car for 7 years and didnt think about fuel, had to replace both pumps and filter, and the clean the small filter on the fuel distributor . My biggest problem now is having put the car back together ( passed MOT a few days back) is to disassemble to get to the sender unit, I am not sure where its located , the car was made in 1989 and is a 300-24 SL , i had the rear panel off that covers the tank but cannot recall seeing the sender unit. I hope its not a tank out job, for if it is i will carry 10 liters of fuel spare just in case.
