Comparing Hojlund to Isak was a cheap shot, he scored 17 league goals the year before and was touted around all the big teams across europe post euros and it clearly affected his season.
@@korruptedln2486 I never said they were, but the comment implied Isak = Hojlund as Isak only scored 6 league goals when the year before Isak proved his talent on a more consistent basis when starting games. I thought of a cool video idea for you guys: Current 'streets won't forget' eleven. None of the players in your 11 can be past their prime. Basically picking young players in the prem that might not necessarily go on to be greats but you think by the time they have retired will be streets won't forget kind of players - this would be super fun because I can imagine there will be a lot of underrated and different players picked by everyone, and gives us viewers players to follow and enjoy

Sharky I APPRECIATE u and the SDS Fam for all the great content but EVEN MORE I appreciate y’all for picking Fu for this episode beautiful content tactics 😂🔥
PEP has always had a great CDM at every team he’s managed, Busquets at Barca , Xabi Alonso at Bayern, Rodri at Man City , he also played in that position as footballer , no wonder why he has an a eye for those players
The fact that fu made notes shows that he’s serious this season 🤣 man stepping up tryna be the talisman in the team Edit: like the guy even motivated me to make notes for school 😭
i understand the concerns with ten hag, especially surrounding style of play & a clear footballing philosophy moving forward (esp w regards to the antony, mount signings), but i think the stereotype that united fans lack patience and are highly reactionary is also true. if we want to build a real team, i truly think EtH is still the man to do that- it’s good to criticize decisions where he's been way off, but overall this is only his 2nd season and this is only the second game. if we are to give anyone time, i think it should be him. getting another ‘elite manager’ right now regardless of who is such a waste of progress and a waste of the last year. i think united's issues go far beyond the coach. i think sacking EtH and bringing in a completely new philosophy is also setting ourselves up for failure- that manager will again be plagued by the issue of having a mix of different kinds of players- some physically superior, a few technical, some elite pressers, some with no real role. i think ten hag is still the guy to take us forward and i think he can and will bounce back from this with some tactical and personnel changes esp w hojlund coming in + hopefully amrabat too. one thing that concerns me is why we look so much worse than last year? after the first 2 games last year, we had a really high level of intensity / drive in the squad that got us thru multiple games where we didn’t play very well, which seems to be missing. the players MUST be accountable for this
52:15 - Cherki is even more raw than the forwards we have right now and isn’t effective as a winger (cause Nkunku is the main 10) and Olise is a creator, not a goal scorer which was the issue against Liverpool and West Ham. We made multiple chances against West Ham and Sterling alone made about 2 clear cut chances and a penalty. It’s not top end talent which is the issue it’s the lack of leaders which I agree with Fuad. The team lost their heads after the penalty miss and it got even worse after the Antonio goal.
@@gairejr980 He didn't though he did he, he was very good and kept him quiet, but haaland had two chances that went just past the post and one the keeper saved, with a little better connection on a couple of the shots he could have scored twice
Phil and Haaland will develop that chemistry between them rapidly, they’re both supremely talented and intelligent footballers. Also a really interesting point Sharky makes, they are really good friends and I think that’ll help the chemistry come along even faster. When they can have some honest conversations between them, the chemistry will build in no time and they’ll both be cooking
Ok we have to chill as Utd fans we started the season bad last year as well and plus there are tactical tweaks that ETH can make so we’ll improve Also we don’t have the players that Erik needs to play his style for example the FBs are disconnected in the press because Erik doesn’t trust our CBs to defend Wide areas, we need amrabat, todibo, st and a new rb that can invert and we need to up our fitness level because they are shocking.
Casemiro is being tactically disadvantaged. Rodri gets cover from Stones and his fullbacks. Partey gets cover from Zinchenko/Xhaka (last season) Casemiro currently has no help
@@123kaired Disagree. Casemiro will go down as one of the worlds best ever DM’s. He is great on the ball, but he needs help. He can’t carry this team on his own at 32 years of age. Even Rodri in this Man Utd team would struggle
@daany8700 casimero is not good on the ball to the level he needs to be. Hes levels below rodri rice partey etc.The stats even back it. Him going down in history is purely trophy related due to him being at one of the best teams ever. Not him. Arsenal and city play with 3 defenders not 4 as well so they still have to cover alot of ground
Rice ran 11.6km against palace btw. Casimero probably ran 2km less against spurs so. Also casimero has a 78% passing accuracy. Rice and rodri are 90%+. Add the declining factor due to age and you'll realise hes a problem as well
@@123kaired That’s so far from the truth. Had Casemiro gone to Saudi and not Man Utd, nobody would be saying this 😂 People like you are reactionary as fuck. You don’t stay in the best team in the world for that long whilst not being good enough. He is better than Rice & Partey. Not Rodri but Rodri is in his prime. Casemiro is past his prime, Casemiro’s been there done that, Rodri is doing it now around the same age Casemiro was when he was winning UCL’s. Rodri has help from Stones & his fullbacks. Partey has help from his fullback & his no. 8. Casemiro doesn’t have that and considering his age, he needs it more than the others. Casemiro has had his prime & his prime is better than all of these other DM’s right now. The fact he’s even in this discussions at this age is testiment to him. I’de love to see where Rice, Partey, Rodri are at 32 years old. Only Rodri looks like the real deal so far. Partey hasn’t won much and his career is almost done. Rice we will wait and see
The point on ETH teams being crap 2nd half is very true 2019: bottled 2 goal leg v a spurs team that hadn’t won away in the prem for months 7 goals conceded v Liverpool away in one half 2 goals conceded 2nd half v Newcastle Probably missed some other out but I’m glad we eventually ended up with Ange instead of ETH’s fugazi project so much more proactive to make tactical changes in-game
Crystal Palace are planning to gamble on Belgian free agent Eden Hazard by handing the ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid attacker, 32, a one-year deal at Selhurst Park despite his injury problems
Brentford have put an £80m price tag on England striker Ivan Toney, 27, with Arsenal and Tottenham interested in signing the player in January once he has served his eight-month ban for breaching gambling rules
EtH needs to take a leaf out of Arteta & Pep’s playbook and admit he got the Antony signing wrong. Arteta has done it with Lokonga/Tabarez/William etc. Pep did it with Bravo/Phillips/F.Torres etc.
City fan here Foden was brilliant and I'm so glad his performing especially with all the pressure on him Mateo Kov has impressed me so well , he looks like his been at City for years I can't wait for Doku to come in coz Walker can't play RW coz we will get caught out Akanji needs to be dropped , i appreciate his fitness record , physically and ball playing but his starting to look shakey Kalvin Phillips and the rest of the bench need to step coz in the 75th minute the starting 11 looked sooooo tired Pep needs to make changes especially with Rodri , he needs to rest coz his legs are gonna fall off City and the rest need to cater to Haaland , as for Haaland he was really frustrated but I'm sure he'll start scoring Josko looked promising and I'm excited for him Julian is doing so well as a CAM , once Haaland goes to Spain , Julian will be the man Ja k Grealish as much as i love him , he needs to step up as KDB is down unfortunately now Pep is added to the injury list so we have to buy a backup manager 😂 Arteta 😉
35:13 THIS IS FACTS. How many wingers nowadays actually beat their man game in game out and give you output on top of that? It makes no sense. The automation of systems is killing the dynamism of footballers honestly. The only players who answer my question would probably be Saka, Martinelli, Mbappe, Vini, Kvara & Vini. 5 players. Compared to the previous generation with the likes of Ribery, Robben, Neymar, Hazard, Henry, Ronaldo (in his younger days), Beckham, Bale, Pires, Ronaldinho, Figo, even fucking Willian. Cmon man.
Manchester United are close to agreeing a one-year contract with Jonny Evans, 35, in a move that could raise fresh doubts over the future of fellow centre-back Harry Maguire, 30, at Old Trafford
1:13:54 My exact problem with Jack Grealish. He's an ok creator but as a winger, never willing to take on his man. Always cuts inside or passes it back, too slow to make a decision, he's too predictable. He always goes for a shot edge of the box and how many of those does he score? Exactly. People wanna say Grealish started a lot of games last szn and won the treble. You know why? He had no competition! No one to challenge his place on the left wing. Watching Jack Grealish has made me more excited for Doku than ever. Outside of that, Foden was exceptional and his talent comes under no question, but I want to see more. This season he needs to step up and establish himself as a main guy in this City side, no more coasting. Kovacic brilliant, fits the Pep side like a glove. Not much mention on Gvardiol, stopped a whole counter on his own, great game. Our defensive depth by far the best in the league, possibly the world.
